Chapter 65: Chapter 65

Kastav pov

I didn’t know what that bitch was up to but I was not chanced to find out too, since she left, I had been trying to find ways to see the council and talk to them about them following this stupid edict of hers but they have been locked up with the foreign warlord who had always treated me like I was unimportant.

They were busy with governing and that was supposed to be me there, talking and plotting and making plans to take Northshore into greater heights.

I did not remove Arius from his post just for a foreigner to be seated comfortably at the king’s seat. I was not going to take this for much longer, no. They have no right to lock me out.

I strode to the council hall and as usual the guards stopped me but this time, I was not adverse as to pushing them out of the way with an invisible force. A little bit of the entity was in that push but I couldn’t care less. I was angry and the council will feel my wrath.

Slamming the door opened, I saw the council all turned to look towards the door from the table which they were crowding with the warlord right beside them and his wife was there too, that managed to make me incensed even further.

“I am not allowed to be here but she is?” I roared only for me to cough as my throat suddenly felt itchy.

“We have been busy for days, please we don’t have the patience for your tantrums.” Cayd drawled as I glared at him.

“Cayd, give the prince his voice back.” Gogan said lightly as Cayd did as he was told.

“Why is she here?” I asked pointing at the war lady, Themis, I think she is called.

“Keep pointing at my wife and you will lose your hand.” Orel voice whipped pout as I quickly cradled my hand against me as if he had really reached out to cut it.

“Well, I asked a question.” I said to hide my sudden jump at his words, with my chin lifted. Even the entity in my mind was laughing at me.

“Yes you did.” Gogan replied. “She is here because she had killed a king who was a magician and used powers which he would have used to enslaved the world, she is here because when her husband was being tortured, she led his army and did a fine job of it. She is here because her husband revealed that she is a great strategist and she has been proving it. These are things that you are not good in or you clearly haven’t done my prince.” Gogan said as I felt my anger, increased.

“They should not even be making any decision. This isn’t Dar, this is Northshore. I should be the one after Yama, not them.”

“No, after Yama is his wife and she might not be present but we have been hearing of her works and her journeys, she is doing what she can out there, our work is to hold the kingdom together until she gets back and nothing else and I have no doubt in her that she will get back with the solution of everything.” Dahlia answered as I turn my glare towards her.

“You sound like you believe that a foreigner will solve our problems for us.” I snarked.

“Yes, foreigners always bring with them, new ways of doing things, not spoilt second sons.” Dahlia stared unflinchingly at me. some council member chuckled loudly but I didn’t tear my gaze from Dahlia.

“Are you sure you want to start this fight with me?”

“It will not be a fight when you are powerless, it will be a beat down.” Dahlia quipped and before I could refute her words, she slammed her staff on the ground and I fell to my kneed while my heart throb painfully at my chest, every breathe I took was torture and I almost gave myself away by calling the entity to help save me.

“Dahlia.” A voice snapped as the pressure eased and I could breathe. I coughed out and some blood splattered on the ground.

“Be careful next time when you threaten an old woman who was alive long before your mother was born and long after your mother died.”

Not much longer. The entity whispered in her head and I fully agreed with his words. Dahlia will be the first person I killed but I need to be at fully strength before I displayed anything. I could barely stand right now.

“My prince, it would be preferable if you stay away from this place from now on.” Gogan said kindly but his tone was firm. I will have him lashed and put in chains for his words.

“If you say so.” Was my response, before I raised my head to look at Dahlia who was glaring at me. “I will repay you for what you just did.” I vowed.

“Do you want me to send you out of here too? I honestly don’t know how a mistake like you could come out of the former Yama, I blame your mother’s blood.” Dahlia spat on the ground as my jaw grated together. She will pay for her words.

“That is enough Dahlia.” Casnar thundered but I had already turned away from them. None of them will be spared, they will all feel my wrath.

“It still isn’t too late for you to change.” Themis said softly but I heard her words and knew that they were meant for me but I didn’t acknowledge them. I left and shut the door behind me, sealing their fate.

When I got to my room, I was weak and stumbling, the entity came out of me as I lay on my bed.

Should I start dealing with them?

“Not yet, I want to look in their eyes when they realize that I am the one behind everything. That I am the one who they are scared of.”

You mean me. The entity corrected but I felt a wave of anger towards it.

“I mean us.” I corrected. “Now, I need to rest. Make yourself useful by doing something worthwhile. Once I am better, we will seize control of Northshore. We will set the world ablaze in our glory and their children will fear my name.” I proclaimed.

“Then we will take over the forgotten world.” The entity added.

“Of course. Then we will do that.” I agreed.

I had the power but I didn’t have the motive to do anything before but Dahlia just gave me the motive I will ensure that Northshore is mine.

Little war lady and her husband will be gone.
