“So you and Yama…” Sorens said as he sat beside me the next morning on the table. “I never expected to see it since it has not been long that you were hitting him on the face and he was giving other woman the heir to his throne. Those are things that you women don’t forgive easily. I think you forgive because you are a commander. Heavens know that female commanders are strange.” He concluded just around the same time I concluded that this was not Sorens.

“Sorian, what do I owe this honor to?” I asked wryly.

“I should be asking that question since I am the one who is gracing the table with the beautiful Alal of the Northshore Empire, you are looking really radiant, how many rounds?” Sorian returned.

“I am wondering what your mother did to you and your mouth when you were younger.” I mused out loud as he started laughing, just as Arius entered with his brother. I watched as Arius eyes narrowed at Sorian and he went to seat as his usual spot wince I was at mine.

“She chased me around the house one time with a huge stick, I think she just gave up and decided that she only raised one of her children right.” Sorian added as I smiled at his words.

“Protect your brother.” Themis said to Sorian who looked at Themis weirdly and he was not the only one. Arius sisters actually looked disgusted at Themis words. Themis really reminded them of their sister Silana who stayed far from them and that was the way which they actually referred it.

“It’s too late.” Silana added as Themis looked at her. Something passed through them as Themis shoulders drooped. “Yes, you are right.” Themis sighed.

“What’s going on?” Sorian leaned towards me and I shook my head.

Arius eyes narrowed at Sorian who must have felt the glare which Arius was aiming his way because he looked at Arius while smiling. “Yama, you know I am Sorian, so there is no reason for you to hate me. I am the cuter twin and you cannot remain angry with me.”

“Most times, I wonder how you became a commander.” Arius chuckled before facing his brothers and continuing with his conversation with them.

“So it is true then?” Sorian asked me, all traces of humor was wiped from his voice as he stared at me, looking so much like his brother in that moment than he ever did.

“What is?” I asked distracted by his resemblance to Sorens which was strange since they were twins but you could always tell the difference.

“You and Yama and breaking of Sorens heart, the reason why he holed up in my room, wanting me to get drunk with him when usually he is the one dragging me away from the pubs?” Sorian added as I sighed.

“I told him not to expect anything from me in that regard, I had told him that from the very beginning and my stance didn’t change any single time.” I stated as Sorian shook his head.

“You still broke his heart.” Sorian stated and when I opened my mouth to complain, he shook his head at me. “Warning or not, Sorens is hurt and I am not here to guilt you into feeling bad, all I want to do is tell you that he will soon be back to his normal self. Give him time Alal.” Sorian ended as he stood up and bowed to me.

“Where are you going?” Kastav questioned. “Stay and eat with us.”

“With all due respect my prince, I prefer not before one of your sister will fall for my charms and I will end up breaking her heart.” Sorian flashed a smile towards the princesses who rolled their eyes, all except Eliana who blushed deeply.

“I was thinking more of making my brother jealous about your relationship with the Alal.” Kastav said in a teasing voice but his teasing was off.

“No, that won’t work. Everybody knows that the queen belongs solely to the king and him alone.” Sorian said as he bowed and left while Kastav, stared after him with a weird look on his face.

“Brother, you plan on the future king being half outsider?” Catia asked and swallowed her words when Arius glared at her and she just duck her head to hide her face, it might be wrong of me but I discovered that I really like sitting in the dinning room as from today if they would keep their mouths shut with just one word.

Unbelievable!

The same day Faye is discovered is the same day that Arius and his foreigner connects. I cannot let her to be with child, something must be done.

And it will. You worry too much. The entity inside me said as he came out from me, since what I did with Faye which is not my fault because I was angry and I wanted to hurt her.

She was not supposed to try and leave not without seeking permission from me, I own her since she made that deal with me, since she ran to me to protect her child.

And could you actually believe the girl. She threatened to report me to my brother like I was one little errant boy. I felt so much rage and I allowed him out and he did what he wanted to with Faye and since then, he had been able to move around in his shadow form without being of any hindrance to me, or me to him.

“You say I worry too much but you still haven’t done anything.” I returned to him.

I need more power, for both of us.

This time I became hesitant, would he continue to need bigger and bigger sacrifices all the time.

“Do you know of any that it will not be traced back to me?” I asked and regretted immediately, even though we could be separated now, he still needs my approval before he does certain things, like kill a lot of living things, humans preferably and collecting their life source.

My eyes popped opened. “Are you nuts, you want to kill up to twenty thousand warriors, warriors that will belong to me later on?”

I turned my head away as I agreed. “How will you get them?” I could feel its sinister smile even though there was nothing of sort on the being, I could feel his moods for he and I were one.

I just need the commander, when I have her, I can use her link to the others to kill them.

“Do it,” I order as I felt the force of malevolence pushed into me, I knew a lot a little of my humanity then but I didn’t care. Yama’s didn’t need humanity to go down on the records as great, I was going to be the greatest one of them all. “Do it but only after she has left the palace and is a little bit far.”
