Chapter 71: Chapter 71
Chapter 71
The clock has alarmed. It’s time for me to start a new morning, new chapter of my life. First thing I must do after awakening my eyes is pray and give thanks for the new morning. Smile first for to feel the presence of another day. Next thing to do is inhale the good things then exhale the bad things and negativities in life, and restart your day. Breathe in fresh air that will soothe you. No need to change yourself but you need to give more importance to yourself and don't forget the self-acceptance.
I slept quite well last night because I was given answers to the questions that were bothering my mind. Lighten the heavy feeling and burden of my chest then. My tight chest loosened. I realized while listening to their explanations that acceptance and forgiveness are needed in human life. You cannot force things that are not for you but learn to accept things that are not for you. I also learned to forgive. We need forgiveness in our lives. We all know that no human is perfect and everyone makes mistakes, so we can learn to apologize and forgive.
I realized why they lied because they had good reasons and that was also for me.
"Good morning," Sister Bria greeted me warmly. I will call her 'ate' because she is older than me. She was carrying a tray on which lay on top of the tray the foods that I thought were for me.
Wait! Why is she here in my room? How did she get in? Wait! She prepared my breakfast for today?
I was so excited and surprised that I frowned as I stared straight at her and at the door that was still open. She suddenly laughed, so I was surprised.
She said, "The door wasn't closed, so I went in."
I asked, "You cooked that?" I stared at the food she was putting down on my bed. I inhaled the smell. I sniffed and closed my eyes. It just smells delicious.
"Your mom cooked these for you," she replied. I thought of what she said 'Your Mom'.
"Who's Mom?" I asked.
“Ah-ah! Auntie Yuna, ”she laughed a little.
“Where is she? Why did you bring my breakfast? ”
“She’s doing something. Ah! I need to hurry because I need to take a bath. ”
She suddenly left almost running but she also suddenly stopped and smiled at me.
“Goodluck to your pageant, Pershey. Fighting, huh? ”
I couldn't answer yet because she suddenly left.
I smiled because of what she said. I said, "Yes, sister."
I examined the dishes and noticed the small paper at the bottom of the cup.
'Good morning, my angel. Eat well. ' —Nanny Yuna
A wide smile drew on my lips at the notes. Simple but heart fattening. But wait! Why is Nanny Yuna still there? She's my real mother, right? She's my Mommy Yuna.
It doesn't matter. I need to eat because I can still take a bath. It's already 5:30 and I need to take more practice before the pageant starts later.
I ate all the prepared food. I took a shower right away. Iries even kept calling my phone but I didn't answer it because I was in the bathroom. Because I didn't attend practice yesterday, so she called me even though it was too early. Even though I was not able to attend, all it took was self-confidence and dedication for me to win. I am confident in myself that I can and I believe I can. In case I don't win, I will accept my defeat. Life has trials and errors. Accept defeat, simple thing, right? Try and try until you are successful. That is life. Life is very challenging and will test your resilience and faith. If there is a trial to face, fight and don’t be afraid to resist the trial. Don’t be afraid to fail. Life includes frustration and disappointment. You will fail first before you succeed.
For our knowledge, failure is also strength because it becomes an instrument for a person to continue and persevere.
When I finished bathing, I immediately got dressed and tidied myself up a bit. I think I look okay. I just put lipstick and a little foundation on my face.
I was about to throw away the lipstick when Bria suddenly came in and spoke. She approached me and said, "Let me do it." I did not immediately understand at what she said. Only then did I understand her when she sit on the opposite bench where I was sitting.
She was holding the make-up brush. My forehead furrowed and she suddenly laughed.
She looked at me and smiled, she said, "Let me do it as your sister."
I let her go and that's what happened. She put make-up on me and fixed my hair. Simple hairstyle but looks elegant especially when she put a silver clip and my hair above my ear. When I looked in the mirror, I smiled in amazement. I'm simple but very nice to look at. This is just the first time we’ve been like this to each other. It feels good to have a sister. I just felt it now. I felt like she was my sister.
"You're so pretty, Pershey pie." She stroked my hair with her index finger from my chin to the top of my cheek. I laughed later.
"Pershey pie?" She laughed and nodded. Why Pershey pie?
"You're so pretty, Pershey pie," she commented to me again. I don’t know if she was praising me or teasing me.
“Don’t call me Pershey pie, sounds cheap,” I laughed and then laughed a little. She laughed too and finally smiled sweetly at me.
“Goodluck,” she sincerely said. I nodded before she left my room. She was going to watch the pageant, so she left first. I also left the room and went down the stairs.
Maids greeted me and they were all smiling.
"Goodluck, Miss," said Mae.
“Oh, thanks,” I immediately replied. "Wait, where is my Mommy Yuna?" I asked.
"She's outside, waiting for you," she replied, so I walked away. From a distance, I saw her. She stood up and smiled sweetly at me. I stopped in front of her.
“Godbless and goodluck,” she said sweetly.
I smiled and said, "Thankyou."
"Shall we?"
I smiled again and we walked out of the mansion at the same time. Mommy and Daddy were outside the gate watching us. Their sweet smiles draw on their lips and are visible in their eyes. We stopped opposite them. They kissed me on the cheek.
“You are so beautiful,” Mommy Sheraine commented and smiled. "You really inherited your beauty from your Mommy and me," she added, so I smiled even more. “Look at your mom. She’s so sexy, isn’t? ” she was still happy to comment on Mommy Yuna, so we looked at her. Mom Yuna's shapely body cannot be hidden. She's so sexy. That’s really what I noticed more about Mommy. She looks like a virgin. The beautiful shape of her body.
She is wearing a long dress which is fitted to her but the lower part is wide from half of her knee to her ankle. She's wearing 2 inches black pointed heels.
We were still looking at her so she almost laughed.
"You're really funny," she said, still laughing a little, so I was happy with them. They are just like teenagers.
"Yes. Oh, you're so beautiful,” Mommy Sheraine added, complimenting Mommy Yuna even more, but she just passed by with a wide and sweet smile.
"Come on," that's all she said. We got in the car. I was even a little surprised when I saw Ate Bria inside. She even waved at me. I thought she left earlier. I'm glad we're going to school together. I feel better and more encouraged because of their support.
While Dad was driving, Mommy Yuna and Mommy Sheraine were talking. We laughed and laughed at their stories. This is how it feels to have the whole family together. The fun is soothing, so much fun. Until we got to school we were still laughing and laughing.
"Let's get out of the car," said Mommy Yuna. We all went out and got together. Mommy Yuna hugged me. Mommy and Daddy held Bria's hand. We were still looking at each other. We both smiled at each other as if we understood each other even when we weren’t talking.
Before we entered we first bought a gate pass which cost $10 per person.
At once we entered and headed to the International de Forde Covered Court where the pageant would be held.
They sat in their reserved seats. I went to the private room where the candidates were.
I saw Iries and Leighded there. They greeted me immediately.
There is still an hour before the pageant starts and an hour for us to prepare for the pageant.
I hired Iries as my fashion designer and Leighden as my make-up artist.
I felt a little nervous but I felt more comfortable. I feel encouraged every time I remember my family who supported me. I am not discouraged.
While the other candidates were busy, I just sat and watched them.
I am feeling comfortable right now.
"Are you feeling nervous?" Leighden suddenly asked me in the middle of my thoughts as the other candidates watched what they were doing.
I looked at her and said, "Just a little."
"I'll fix you," she said. I nodded. I looked back at the large mirror in front of us. She started to fix me. Since my hair is fine, she didn't move much. I close my eyes as she fixes me.Then I opened my eyes when she put mascara on my eyelashes.
She's 18 but she's already a good make-up artist. Same as Iries. She's 18 years old and a good fashion designer. I trusted them, so they were the make-up artists and fashion designers I hired. Less hassle as well.
She just slightly curled the lower part of my hair that was curled up high. There is also an ash blonde highlight. She also ended up fixing me. I'm going to change into a traditional gown.
"Here's your gown." I picked up the gown Iries handed me. She herself made the gown I would wear. She has her own Fashion Shop.
I already wore that. She helped me to zipper it.
"It's beautiful," she commented while looking into my gown. I looked down at the gown and was also amazed at how beautiful it was.
"That's nice," I said excitedly and slowly turned around. I looked up at them. "That's nice, right?"
They nodded in response. I looked back at the gown I was wearing and danced the bottom of the gown. I didn’t notice their reaction.
I stopped and looked at them. They laughed a little and immediately fell silent.
I stopped when I remembered something.
Wait! Is the hairstyle appropriate for my traditional gown?
"What do I look like?" I asked them.
They looked at each other and they said, "Beautiful."
"What about my hairstyle?" I asked again. They looked at me and an idea entered Leighden's mind, so I obeyed when she motioned to me. I sat down again and looked in the mirror. She tied my hair around and arranged it a little more. She finished and ordered me to stand up. She looked at me from head to toe and then nodded.
"Am I looking good?" I asked her.
She widened her smile and said, "You're too pretty to ask that." I smiled at what she said. Although she did not directly answer my question, I understood what she meant.
The Pageant is about to start, so I feel more nervous. I took a deep breath. I inhaled and exhaled to relieve the nervousness I was feeling. I patted my face with my hands while weakly blowing my breath.
"Are you okay?" Leighden asked.
I nodded and smiled, I said, “Yeah. I'm just nervous due to excitement. ”
“Just inhale and exhale. Think of the people watching you as cute dogs so that you don't get nervous when you're on stage. Just when you’re on stage, just focus. Don't let twitter swallow you up. Be confident. Boost your self-confidence and don't panic. ”
“Yeah. Thanks, Leighden. ”
