Chapter 41: Chapter 41
Chapter 41
Pershey's Point Of View
"Let's go home, Driver Gong," I softly command as I close my eyes. Aliha's face kept coming back to my mind. I saw her earlier at Samuel's house and she's Samuel's sister. Therefore, Samuel is one of Santiago's family? Shall we bleed?
He's full name might be Samuel Santiago Buenavista.
"Traffic, Señorita," I heard Driver Gong say so I opened my eyes for a moment.
Traffic? It's 9 o'clock, traffic still?
I just sighed then closed my eyes again. Aliha kept coming back to my mind. I can't imagine that Samuel and I are relatives the same as Sansa that was Neil's sister.
If he's a Santiago, he better stop being nice to me because we have the same blood and we were relatives.
“Driver Gong,” I call to Driver Gong who is holding the steering wheel and driving slowly. I opened my eyes as well.
He looked in the mirror for a moment then looked back at the road.
"Why, Señorita?" he asked.
"Where is your family?" I asked.
"They're far from me," he replied.
"Ahh." I turned a blind eye again. When I closed my eyes, I immediately remembered what had happened. The pictures I saw. The picture when I was a baby with Bria and Mommy and Daddy. 'Why are Bria and I together in that picture?'
In each picture, he is with my parents. From baby to the present, they are there in the pictures. The picture of Bria on her 18th birthday, they are also together. Are they hiding things from me? Do my parents keep me a secret?
‘Know yourself first, Pershey,’ that’s the line that goes back and forth in my mind apart from the pictures I saw before and apart from my meeting with Aliha, Samuel’s sister.
'What does she mean by saying' know yourself first. '? Is there anything else I should know about who I am? Are there things I still don't know?
Why did she say that thing? Why is she hiding pictures of her with my parents? Why are they together?
Is she the daughter of my parents? Are we sisters? I notice they seem to be together since Bria was a child until she was 18.
Is she 18? She said, she's just 17 years old. She lied? She lied to me.
I'm confused. I couldn’t understand what the pictures I saw meant. I don’t know how to answer my own questions.
"Is there a problem, Señorita?" Driver Gong asked me. I opened my eyes to see him. Driver Gong, can he answer my questions?
"May I ask?"
"Of course, Señorita," he said with a smile.
"Do you know Bria?" I asked but he couldn't answer but just shook his head. "I want you, Driver Gong, to keep your eyes on her. Keep an eye on her, her every move, every place she goes, and don't let her go unnoticed," I ordered him. His forehead furrowed slightly.
"F-for what, Señorita?"
"Just follow me, Driver Gong. Keep your eyes on her."
He nodded and then drove off. No more traffic. 9:45 am.
Oh! I forgot that Leighden is waiting for me. Damn! I forgot!
I opened my messenger and her messages were exposed to me. I close my eyes to the amount of things she said.
I clicked video call. She immediately answered my call.
Her frown was exposed.
"I am late," I said then signed peace. I don't remember that she was waiting for me. Because of the traffic, it will take me a long time to get home. There are also a lot of things that are bothering my mind so I don't remember that she was waiting for me. My cellphone was also turned off so I was unaware of her messages to me. Uh! I do not know!
"What do you think?!" she said in disgust. "You're always late! It's not new!"
"Okay, okay, okay! Traffic today then I went somewhere else so I'm late," I explained but she just laughed at me and there was still a trace of annoyance.
“Hurry up! You're even slower than a turtle, you know that? ”
I just pouted and shook my head. I’m not a turtle, duhh! I'm just slow but I'm not as slow as a turtle. I am faster than turtle.
"Hurry up!"
"Okay, Fine!"
I ended up our video call and power off my phone.
"Driver Gong, let's go to Vin Bar," I ordered. His forehead wrinkled so my forehead also wrinkled.
"Vin Bar?"
"Exactly. There you take me to Vin Bar," I replied. He nodded. "Why, is there a problem?" I asked. He seemed surprised when I told him to take me to Vin Bar. I have no idea what's in that Bar. I haven't been to that Vin Bar yet.
"No, Señorita. I'm just surprised you're drinking now," he replied. I laughed. I first got drunk when Leighden and I went to the Mascaraed Party where my partner was Neil and her partner was Draek.
Maybe I'm not drunk. Maybe I wasn't drunk that night. I mixed juice so I'm not drunk but I don't know! Hahaha.
"Really?"
Second, I drank soju after shopping for things. I didn't realize that I was drunk and that I had fallen asleep.
"You seem to be drinking a lot, Señorita."
"No, Driver Gong. I only drink occasionally and I don't get drunk."
“Here we are,” he said. I peeked out the window.
"Okay. Go home now, Driver Gong."
"I'll wait for you to come home. Nanny Yuna might scold me when I come home without you."
Why would Nanny Yuna scold him when he came home without me?
Before I went down, I first asked him, "Why?"
"He told me to take care of you, Señorita, so I'll be waiting for you any time," he replied. I smiled at what he said. Nanny Yuna is really concerned to me. She's literally kind to me.
"Are you sure, Driver Gong? You might be sleepy while waiting for me."
"There's some coffee, Señorita. I'm going to drink coffee to wake up the spirit and I can't sleep."
I got out and stopped in front of the car door then bent down to peek at him.
“When you’re hungry, just buy food,” I instructed. He nodded with a smile. I closed the door then walked into the Vin Bar.
I was wearing a black dress and it was fittef to me, plus, it was sleeveless so I had to wear a jacket in case I didn't have a jacket.
I bent down to look at my chest a little. I don't see much cleavage.
I spread my gaze so I could find Leighden faster. There are many people here. Some were dancing, some were drinking, some were talking and some were singing. The music is also loud so it's really deafening to listen to.
I encounter a lot of people looking at me so I immediately avert my eyes and walk quickly.
Leigh is still making it hard for me to find her ah! There are still too many people.
"Hi, Miss," a man greeted me ,he's holding more wine, he was obviously drunk. I stepped sideways to avoid him.
I also get involved with the dancers.
"Hi, Miss, let's dance," said another man so I quickened my pace.
I stopped when I saw Leighden sitting up. Sge immediately stood up to greet me.
"What took you so long?" she asked before patting me on the shoulder.
Seated on the side was the sofa where she had sat earlier. We sat there too. No one else is sitting here but Leighden and me.
"Why did you think of inviting me here? You know I'm not used to going to this place," I complained as I looked at the people around us. Some are already drunk.
"Nothing but if you want a quiet place, we can let them go," she replied. I frowned at what she said.
"You get people out of here at the Bar? Are you serious?" I asked. She nodded with a smile. "... how are you going to do that?" I asked again.
She winked at me before she stood up. She whispered something to a man in a nice suit. The man was a little old so it was impossible for her to flirt with him. Oh! My word!
After she whispered, she turned to me and sat down again.
I hadn't been able to ask when the man Leighden was talking to had spoken earlier. He held the microphone while saying, "Police raid, ladies and gentleman. Time is up! Go home now. Police are coming to raid this Bar so we need to close this Bar as soon as possible!"
I was going to get up to leave because the man said that the police were coming to raid this Bar so we had to leave but Leighden and I fell at the police station. Leighden grabbed my arm so I stopped. Does she have no intention of leaving this bar? The man just said that the police were coming. This woman has something to do with it!
"Sit," she commanded me so I frowned. "Sit," she ordered again so I sat down.
"Police are coming to raid this Bar, Leighden. Haven't you heard?"
She laughed softly. I noticed that people were leaving the bar. Some even complained as they exited the bar.
"You believe it," she said laughing before she stood up and approached the man who had spoken earlier. She whispered something again so I frowned as I looked at her.
She turned and sat down again.
"You know him?" I asked.
"He's my father, Pershey," she replied.
Father? Father ?! He's her father?
"Seriously?"
"This is my Bar. Dad bought me this Bar last month," she replied. I just blushed at what she said.
She has her own Bar ?!
"A-are you kidding me?"
She laughed once patting my shoulder.
"No," she replied.
"Really? This is your own Bar?" He nodded. "I just found out you still have your own Bar. You're not telling me."
"Do you have to know?" she even laughed at the question before drinking the wine. Oh, she's drinking again but it's not even obvious that she's drunk. She wasn't really drunk.
I nodded.
"This is my own Bar," she said.
