After their lunch they left the restaurant, once outside the restaurant Gabby stopped Carlos from going into his car.

"Carlos please give Triffany a ride back home." Gabby blinks, trying to buy them some alone time together.

"I'm going to the office, you should give a ride back home." Carlos looked at his sister.

Triffany looked at them, she don't want to ride with Carlos either so she raised her hands to stop them. "I will take the bus."

"Gabby looked at her, she was a girl that like her plans to work. "No, Carlos will give you a ride."

"The bus is fine." Triffany smile.

"Carlos..." Gabby turned her eyes to Carlos. "I'm going to meet someone, so please give her a ride back home, can't you see she needs to be treated specially by you." She frowned to him.

"Why?" Carlos shrugged and look at Triffany.

Gabby flashed him her well arranged set of teeth. "I would take that as a yes." She turned to Triffany. "I'll see when I come home. Bye." She went into her car and drove off.

Triffany turned to Carlos who was staring at her. "It's okay if you don't give me a ride, there are tons of taxi here." She opened her purse but the money she had in it was not enough to pay for a taxi.

She closed her purse and look up at Carlos who still has his eyes on her. "I will take the bus." She smiled and turned to leave.

"The bus stop is a bit far from here." He looked down at the high heels she was wearing. "You know, if you ask politely, I'm generous to offer you a ride."

Triffany turned to look at him as she scoffed. "Polite my butt." She wonder if a real couple have to ask for a ride from themselves. "I've got legs to walk." She told him and was about to turn.

"Don't draw attentions to me." He looked around. "You know I'm a very popular man."

Triffany looked around and saw few people staring, she turned to him and flashed him a smile that doesn't reach her eyes. "Okay fine, please give me a ride." She said through gritted teeth.

Carlos smirked as Shanne opened the door for them and they entered the car, he drove off.

Carlos phone rang, he recognised the caller and answered. "Hello Abbey."

"Carlos, It's Kelsey." Abbey's panicked voice came from the other side of the line. "Something happened to Kelsey."

Carlos eyes widened. "What happened to Kelsey?" Hearing Kelsey's name Triffany turned to look at him. "I'm on my way. Where is she now?"

"At the hospital."

"Text me the address, I'm on my way." Carlos hanged up. "Shanne stop the car." Shanne pulled over.

Carlos turned to Triffany. "Get down, I have to go to some where."

Triffany looked out of the window. "We are at the highway Carlos." She looked at him.

"Get out immediately!" He shouted.

"I can't stop a taxi and we have past the bus stop. It's the highway." She tried to reason with him.

Carlos got down from the car and turned over to her side of the door and pulled her out without another word he got into the car. "Shanne take me to the hospital." He ordered.

Shanne hesitated for a moment but had to follow the order he drove of to the said address.

Triffany watched the car leave and tears rolled down her cheek. "I should have expected this." She looked around, there was nothing she could do at this point but to walk home alone, so she began the long journey back home.

Carlos got to the hospital and rushed into the VIP room Kelsey lay. He moved close to her bed and sits down next to her. "Kelsey are you Okay?" He asked with concern all over his face as he reached and touched her hands.

Kelsey heard his voice and sat up with a smile on her lips. "I knew you would come to see me if I pretend to be at the hospital."

Carlos halts and took his hands off her. "All this was a pretense?" He asked as he looked at the monitor and her, his brow knitted.

"You were avoiding my calls and not replying my text messages and I had to see you." She looked at him and reached out to touch his face but he pushed her hands away and stood up.

"I should have known all this. How did you change to this Kelsey?" He looked at her like she was a horrible person.

Kelsey bite down her lower lips. "I wanted you to know that you can't get everything you wanted."

"That's nonsense Kelsey, I loved you sincerely." Carlos looked at her eyes.

"Your love was a pretence too!" Kelsey raised her voice almost in tears.

"Unbelievable!" Carlos looked at the lady he had love for almost his life, everything he did was all genuine but here she was saying it was a pretence.

"I shouldn't have loved you at first, I shouldn't have seen you, how did I get to love someone like you?" Tears clustered in his eyes as he spoke

"You think I pretended to love you." He scoffed and runs his hands through his hair. "I now know all this was one-sided. Kelsey from today I stop my unrequited love. You're not worth it."

"And I came running over here like a fool." He closed his eyes and pictures Triffany alone on the highway. He turned and rushed out of the hospital.

"Shanne start the car, head to the highway at once." He got in and Shanne speeds off.
