Chapter 11: Chapter 11
Carlos Zack entered the meeting set by Philip, his three friends were seated going through some scripts and documents.
"Thank you all for coming," Carlos said as he sits at the head chair.
"I heard about the lost files." Garrett looked up at him, relaxing on his chair.
Carlos closed his eyes and opened it, he breathes sharply. "It was destroyed by my careless secretary." Carlos brushed his hair backwards with his hands.
Eric smile at his looked at Carlos, he knew his friend was going through a lot lately. "Hope you did not lash out on the poor secretary cause of the things going on lately in your life."
"I couldn't help it." Carlos kept some documents on his desk.
Blake chuckled. "Gabby told us about the drama she watched this morning, between you and that girl."
They all chuckled apart from Carlos who gave them a hard glare, this was the circle who knows him and who he opens up to.
Right now they were getting on his nerve. "Please, we have a serious situation now. Stop talking about that bad luck that calls herself a lady."
Carlos hates hearing about Triffany, from the first day she crossed his part, he had bad lucks.
"Whoa...you don't have to tell us you hate her that much, we already know." Eric blurts out.
"Better. First was separating me and Kelsey and now my business is having an issue, my good reputation has turned bad on news. I won't forgive her. Never." Carlos said coldly.
They all became silent, looking at each other, knowing that Carlos is now furious.
"I will make sure she began to leave me!" Carlos hits his pen on the desk.
Garrett opened the document in his front and said softly. "Now you want to battle with an innocent lady, who is caught up in your rich life."
Carlos glared at him. "Hey! I'm the one caught up in her miserable life."
Carlos closed his eyes and paused, he opened them back and looked down at the document on his desk. "Let's just focus on this please and get over with it. I need to see Kelsey today else I will lose myself."
They all look at him, knowing what he's passing through now, they decided to drop the argument and face what is in their front now.
"Here." Garrett passed them few files. "This is the new program list," Garrett told them.
Carlos went through it. "Is this the best you could come up with?" Carlos asked, his face was now serious. "This is nothing like the first one."
Carlos ran his hands across his hair with his eyes cold, his friends knew he was not pleased with this one. "It will take few days before I can retrieve the first file."
Carlos flips the pages of the booklet Garrett gave him in frustration. "This is not damn right."
"Carlos, breath..." Eric tries to calm him down. "We can amend it to your satisfaction."
Carlos rubs his hands on his forehead, he had already assured the chairman and the New Zealand director that everything was ready.
"We will do our best to fix this," Blake told him, looking he m in the face.
Carlos picked up his phone. "I need to call that secretary, it's her mistake, but everyone makes mistakes once in a while." His friends smiled as he made the call.
"Hello, sir." Felicity's quivering voice spoke from the other end of the line.
"Make an appointment for me with the set manager director." Carlos deep voice told her.
"Sir, have I been forgiven?" Felicity asked, but she was a little bit relieved, she thought she would be fired since he called.
"One more mistake from you and you will be fired," Carlos told her.
Felicity smiled and breathe a sigh of relief. "Thank you, sir, thank you, sir."
"I need that appointment set in five minutes." He hangs up, turning his eyes to his smiling friends. "Now let's do this." They all became serious and talked business on how to resolve this issue.
Carlos went to meet the set manager director in the set room. They sat down in his office.
"Mr Carlos Zack welcome. Have a seat please." Stephen pointed at a chair next to him.
They both sat down. "I heard about the urgent meeting from you secretary, I have to rush down here. What is the emergency?" Stephen asked him.
"Stephen the New Zealand production could be at risk, due to some damages," Carlos spoke up, sitting up straight.
"How may I be of help to that?" Stephen asked.
"I was hoping you could make a quick research and amend this." Carlos is all serious as he hands him a file.
"Stephen went through it. "This is the recording and sheet for the production." He lifts his head to look at Carlos.
"Yes. I want you to make one of the best out of this." Carlos told him. He had already discussed with Stephen before now about the project at hand.
"I will do anything for your company," Stephen assured him.
"I trust you with this. I will send my assistant over to receive it by tomorrow."
"Okay. We can work with that."
They both stand up from their chair and shaken hands. "I'm counting on you."
"I won't let you down," Stephen assured him m and Carlos left.
"Hey, Mary," Stephen called out to one of his staff.
"Yes sir."
"Make a quick copy of this and bring it to my office." He hands the file Carlos gave him to her.
"Okay, sir." Mary left to do as she was told.
"Hey, guys," Stephen called out to his staffs as they turned their attention to him. "We have a real job to do now. Are you all ready?" He asked.
"Yes sir." His staff said excitedly.
"Okay." Stephen hand them each a file as he appointed them on what to do with it, soon after they were all busy, doing their work.
...
Allison came over to Trevor's house, after greeting them she heads upstairs to Tiffany's room. "Triffany." Allison knocked on the door and entered.
"You're here." Triffany smiled." Come have a seat." She taps her bed and Allison joined her.
"Are you okay?" Allison asked looking at Triffany all over, she had slept out yesterday and made them all worried.
"Yes, I'm good." Triffany smiled at her cousin.
"I was really worried about you yesterday, you made your mother sad too." Allison looked her over with a frown.
"I was drunk and couldn't answer my phone," Triffany said softly.
"You should have taken good care of yourself. Where did you sleep?" Allison's voice was gentle.
Triffany folds her leg and relaxes on her bed. "At that man's mansion." She sighed.
"Which man?" Allison asked, wide eye.
"The on TV," Triffany said nonchalantly.
"Your husband to be?" Allison giggle.
"Allison!" Triffany glare at her. "Not you too, please. I dislike that man. Though he has a little good side." Triffany blush.
"What good side?" Alison asked curiously, this was the first time Triffany has ever said that a man has a good side.
"He couldn't let me be vulnerable. I was drunk with nowhere to go and he did not even touch me. My underwear was still how it was." She told her.
Allison shakes her head and scoffed. "Were you expecting him to have sex with you or what?" She asked.
Triffany stopped blushing and looked down, she had been thinking about it since she came back home, she bits her lower lips and looked at Allison. "Not that, but you know, seeing a beautiful lady like me, he should be tempted," Triffany said with a pose.
Alison laughed at her friend, she shakes her head. "Nick was right all along. You're nut. Don't forget he is a rich and classy man, one of the known wealthy heir. So stop dreaming Triffany."
Triffany folds her hands, she knew Allison was right, her inner goddess was also telling her the same thing but she didn't want to believe it. "Why then is he did he want to get married to me?"
Allison looked at her friend, this was not the Triffany she knew yesterday, maybe the drink did something to her head.
Allison looked Triffany directly in the eye. "May I remind you, he wants to put the press at ease. After one night sleep at his mansion you're getting all your brains twisted, wake up girl, you were the one telling me all this."
Triffany sighed and looked up with a determined face. "You're right Allison. I am not classy, and I'm not rich, I don't have a job, but I have a lot of men who were deeply in love with me in the university." Triffany giggle.
Alison knew where this new talk was heading, she had to change the topic. "I am hungry girl, do you have any chips?" She asked.
Triffany frowned." I am not done talking." She said.
"I've heard the story countless times Triffany, how you turned them all down cause they were not your type." Allison completed it for her.
"Okay fine. You earn your chips, check in the lower drawer. Grab one for me too, let's watch movies together." Allison went to get it.
