THIRTY THREE- FRIENDS TIME-OUT
" meera your friends are here!" Nini yelled from the sitting room
"Okay I've heard" I replied back
So, today was the day i was supposed to go outing with dozie and the 'geng ' and basically, I was already dressed in a blue ripped ankle knee jean and a pink crop top with a white sneakers donning my feets. I packed my hair in a bun and used a gel to lay my edges.
Mum walked into my room wearing a c.w.o wrapper and a white blouse.she was going for the church visitation she talked about yesterday. She scrutinized my dressing as she held the door open, before finally speaking.
" you have alot of friends..I didn't even know your friend cycle was that much" she replied and I shrugged not really knowing what to say to her
" anyway! I'll be going for the orphanage visit with aunty dara..."she paused and mirrored her eyes at me
" becareful and don't do anything that you're not going to be proud of in future..and what did I say about boys this morning? .." she asked. Drawing her ears alittle
That's right.. my mum came to my room as early as six in the morning to give me a straight- two hour lecture on books before boys..I was so pissed that she interrupted my sleep but then, who am I to complain
" you said, boys before books brings bad luck " I chanted her motto.she smiled at my response
" ehn ehn..ezigbo Nnwam..I ghota ihe'm kwuru " (good child.you understood what I said )
I nodded in affirmation with a small smile on my lips.then she dusted imaginary dirts on her wrapper as she looked at me again
"Let me start going already- ehn before I forget, nini isn't going with us because the bus that we are using to go isn't going to enter her.so she'll go out with you and your friends" she said
Just then, Nini strolled in already looking stylishly dressed
" that's right..so let's start going already. I can't wait to leave this boring house" she whined and mum shot her a sharp look making her pout
I laughed at her expression. Watching mummy close the door behind her not without giving nini the signal that said 'keep-an-eye-on-her'
I turned to nini with a blank look "did she just tell you that?" I asked and nini laughed

As soon as we got out of the house, we were met with our famous seven. They all looked so dope in their dressing and everyone looked so happy and excited
"Wow! is that my babe?"dozie asked with a huge grin on his face as he ran his eyes through my dressing
"No..it's your chin chin "I replied and he laughed
" you look hot chin chin "he complimented and i smiled, titling my head with a small shrug
"Thanks baby" I replied with a wink.he glanced at nini
"Hey Nini...you look good too" he said and she smiled
"Thank you"
The rest of the guys were chatting haplily.sophie snapped her head towards our direction and waved excitedly at us, gesturing for us to come closer.
I glanced at Niniola's smiling face,she looked so happy already
" wow..this is going to be so much fun" Nini whistled beside me. I chuckled, pulling her closer to introduce her to the rest who didn't know her.
" heyo ladies and germs" I greeted, giving the them small hugs.while the guys snorted at my greeting the girls laughed.
" heyyy babes...I missed you so much"Annette cooed
"Jare I did not miss you" priye said and I snickered at him
"You girls look beautiful..meera introduce us to the fine babe nau "Ayo said.flashing his mr sexy smile at Niniola who returned the flirty smile back at him
Actually I don't mind them flirting cause me knowing nini..she's the biggest flirt someone can ever come across
"Okay guys..this is Niniola my cousin..Niniola this are my friends- "I paused, pointing at each other as I called their names
"Ayo, sophie,sola, priye, Adam, dozie my boyfriend which you already met and sandwich "
"Wait.hol'up sandwich is her name?"Niniola asked and they chuckled
"No..sandwich is like my signature name..my name is Annette by the way..nice to meet you"Annette replied and nini nodded in understanding
"Wow! Nice to meet y'all"
"So are we just going to stand in front of my house all day instead of kicking into today's business? "I asked
"Gosh! I don't even mind staying here all day..I'm just so happy to be away from school right now..like y'all don't want to know what being a boarder feels like "sophie said with a relief surging through her
"I know right...sucks real bad..so guys what are we doing today?" Annette asked
"Okay since this is officially the last holiday we'll be having before we finally leave school, I suggest we make memories together "sola replied
" and how do we do that?" Priye asked
"Why don't we start by going to see a movie.."sola replied enthusiastically
"Really? Movies!?" Adam responded
"Yup..I already bought tickets but i'll add up one more for nini" sola replied
"Okay!! Movie here we come!!!" I yelled dramatically with my hands up as we all proceeded to pile into the Toyota tundra that had a double- seater at the back of the passenger seat
"Wait a minute..whose ride is this?"i asked
"Oh..it's priye's own..he actually had someone rent it out to him for today's outing "sola replied
"Aww..he try ooh "
"Yup..and I'm the person driving "ayo added, flipping the car keys in his hands which made the rest of us gasp
"No man..you can't be serious"dozie said shaking his head
"Nahh..please don't kill us"adam begged
"C'mon I'm not bad.."Ayo defended himself and soon the guys were arguing about who the worst driver is amongst them
"Okay..."sandwich came in their middle, taking the keys from ayo
"Ayo..you're not a bad driver..you are prolly the worst so I'm not letting you drive again especially not when we had to pay for knocking down a lady's foodstuffs all because of your reckless driving" she replied
Ayo huffed, raising his hands in mock surrender as nini and I laughed while dozie filled us in on what actually happened when they were coming to my house and ayo was being the driver.
"Okay so now who's driving?"nini asked
Dozie said he didn't feel like handling the wheel and that meant that it was just between Adam and Ayo
"I am" Adams replied snatching the car keys from Annette and without another word at us, he hopped into the car
" soooo..."I drawled
"I guess we'll just go with adam driving" Sophie said in surrender and we all piled into the car,soon the car swerved into action with us singing ontop our lungs to the song Adam tuned in davido's song _ disturbance

So currently we all sat in the large dark hall which had red chairs on each row and a large screen busy screen staring back at us.turned out that adam was a smooth driver other than my boyfriend Each of us were holding a popcorn, I sat with dozie on my left and sophie on my right while sola and priye sat side by side and then Annette with Adam
Hmm..those two..A√ I'm suspecting them sha..
Back to what I was saying..so Nini sat with Ayo and damn the both of them had been flirting ever since we came here and as if that wasn't enough, sola and her boyfriend wouldn't stop smooching.
"Damn people! Get a room already,I'm trying to enjoy this movie" Annette whisper yelled to the distracted couple
"How is their kiss affecting you?"dozie retorted, then he turned to me with a puppy face
" chin chin..." he whined and I scoffed
"So you think defending them will earn you a kiss? Sorry babe..hardluck" I replied with a smirk making him pout as he dipped his hands into my popcorn
Annette huffed, pulling sola by her ears, sola glared at her while Priye sucked as we chuckled
"PG 13 please..here is a cinema not a make out hall "
"Who says no making out In a cinema?"
"I mean you guys suggested we watch this movie..." we were watching kissing booth 2 so I wouldn't blame crazy sola and her boyfriend
" eehn nau..enjoy your movie"priye interjected.turning to sola "right babe?" He asked
She smiled, looking entirely smitten at him as she replied "yes babe.." then kissed him back
"Wow I never knew nerds can be this explicit "Adam said and sola shot him a glare
"Oh sharrap..you know nada "she retorted and we all laughed including adam
"Babes chill out nau"priye cooed at her, she flipped her head with sass
"I'm chilled..just that not all nerds are dumb some of us are really hot yunno.."
"As in..beauty with brains ni"ayo hailed and I snorted
"Are you even sure you have brain ni?"I asked and they guys burst out laughing as sola glared at me with priye trying to ease out the feigned anger in her
"Shhhhh"a random lady muttered at us but too late, sola had thrown her popcorn at me
"Hey what was that for?"I whined
"That's for being a smut"she retort as the rest fake a gag
"no way..I'm not letting this go"i said defiantly and that was how we and the rest of the people sitted there ended up ditching the movie with a popcorn fight including the lady who earlier told us to 'keep shush'
After the movie,we went to pleasure park to play games, take loads and lots of pictures, get ice creams for ourselves and afterwards ride the Ferris wheel not without Annette whining to us that she's scared of heights and after much persuasion, we still had to take the fun and crazy ride with alot of excitement surging through our adrenaline..it was as though we were having our last fun together, which actually maybe our last fun together.

"And we are here!" Adam announced as he pulled the car to a halt.
We all alighted from the car, facing the little penthouse apartment in front of us.it was getting to dusk already and since we didn't want to go home yet, we decided to spend the rest of the time in Adams parents penthouse
"Wow..this place is beautiful" I exclaimed, looking around the small yet comfortable apartment.
"It looks so cozy and cool..do you guys come here often ?"Annette asked,particularly to adam
"Yup..actually it was our little hideout for the guys and I each time we want to be away from..yunno "he explained with his voice trailing off
"Wow!!" I exclaimed
"C'mon, I'll show you around"dozie offered as I followed him obediently to look around the house.

So we have been closeup ten minutes still admiring every bit of the cozy apartment..scratch that_ I was the one still admiring it
Dozie was kind of telling me about how they usually hung out here and fun fact _i just found out that it wasn't only the guys that came here..also clara and her minion
Why? How?!
Cause they were friends with her then..
"So why did you guys stop hanging out with her?" I asked and he gave a light shrug
"I don't know..she was Adam's paddy.he stopped and automatically we too stopped...guess he got tired of her"
"So I get that I shouldn't even talk about this clara girl here..but I want to really understand if the reason she bitches around me is because Adam stopped hanging out with her and became close to me or because she and I aren't over our beef yet?"
"Prolly that too..besides she was more annoyed when she told me she liked me and I turned her down cause i liked you..something you were oblivious too..she got really upset about that" he explained and I puckered my lower lips
"Wow!" I said scoffing "so that's really it?"
" yunno..if I wasn't nice I would have told her she's just being plain stupid"I said shrugging
Dozie gave me an incredulous look with a small shudder
"Seriously!!! "I laughed at his faux chills.
Pausing abruptly in my step, I turned to dozie with a more serious look on my face.
"Yunno..the part of me being oblivious to you liking me..I'm sorry"
He chuckled, using his hands to pat my cheeks "there's nothing to be sorry about..that's past anyway and besides I'm happy you're here with me now"
I smiled happily "right!"bringing my lips closer to his face, I raised my heels alittle. I locked my lips on his' with his hands wrapped around me we were making out-
" hey guys!!"nini called, barging in on us.we broke apart swiftly, her eyes darted back and fort at us with a mischeviously smirk on her lips
"Umm..I came to tell you guys..that the suya we ordered is ready..you guys should come along" she paused then smirked widely
"Or continue smooching...I'm sure it tastes better than the suya" she said winking at me before leaving
I rolled my eyes at with a smile on my lips while dozie chuckled..nini was a crazy cousin seriously!!
I placed a light kiss on dozie's lips before we went ahead to join the others.
