NINE- GUESS WHO

Seconds turned minute to hours to days and finally to weeks and as you can guess already, school had resumed fully. Funny enough, I had already started enjoying creative Arts thankfully, dozie did a fairly nice job in helping me out.but I still was going to drop it anyway. If my mum asked my list of subjects and I showed her creative arts.I'm pretty sure she would freak out.

But then, I kinda loved it and even though I kept drawing sticks as humans, it was still fun watching others draw and watching them paint.esp.dozie who always seemed engrossed in his paintings. He was good at it.infact, he was the best and that was more reason for sir Ahmed to appoint him so he can tutor me.

Okay.why I'm I thinking of Dozie today? I think spending more time with that dude is pretty much messing with my thinking.

I dropped my bags on my chair and watch Adam sit beside me.he was always quite beside me, never talked much but then when he was with Dozie, Priye and co_as in Clara and minions.he was more of a Razz person.

" hi" I said making the first move.it was still early and first period was about to start.

Adam glanced at me with a small smile " hey meera.how was your weekend? "

" fine and yours?" I asked when someone slapped me playful at my back.

" ouch" I spurned around to see sandwich with a goofy smile.she mouthed

" keep quiet..madam talk talk " I sighed at her. Watching her take her seat and making a mental note to get back at her.

Mr Kolade, the futher maths teacher strolled into the class with an usual creepy smirk.he was a young man who managed to annoy the hell out of students

" good morning students" he greeted still smiling and the class chorused an answer

" today we will be learning longitude and latitude..."

" sir..is that why you're smiling like you newly got married " Esther.a girl who cared less about consequences and wraths just had to ask making Mr Kolade look quite embarrassed

" no..how..can..infact Esther.." he stuttered trying to find the words to tell Esther who just smirked as she said in a singsong voice as she wiggled her eyebrows

" I told you soo.." the whole class laughed and I knew they were laughing at Mr Kolade's expression

My classmates were very tricky tho.I knew they weren't ready for further maths and that was why they were making no effort to let the class roll.

" Esther..that's enough. One more noise and I'll send you out of my class"he scolded trying to sound sternly.the class just turned quiet when someone whistled again

" Omo.see how here is quiet ooh..abeg is anyone dead yet " a voice which I recognized to be Jacob said and that made the class to roll into fits of laughter.

Mr Kolade immediately turned red as he glared at Jacob.who just realized that for real a teacher was in class

" Onome Jacobs " mr.Kolade barked and the whole class fell back into tranquility as jacob stood up somewhat shaking

" yes sir.."

" come with me to the staff room.i'll teach you today what manners is " he barked angrily as everyone watched with hidden glee

" sir. .please sir..I'm sorry sir..." jacob begged. I pitied him as I saw the anger written on mr.Kolade's face .I knew the man will never forgive

" C'mon get going " he barked then faced the rest of us " and ss3 B.if you try this stunt next time I'll make sure you visit the principal " he warned before walking out of the class with a sad Jacob trailing behind him.

" and ss3 B if you try this stunt again I'll make sure you visit the principal"Esther said mimicking Mr Kolade which made a few persons laugh

" Esther you better go and sit down now.I hope you know that you started this thing " Sydney.one of the minions of Clara fired.

" ehnn..just shut up joor .it's not as if you're even intelligent to start with.be busy deceiving yourself set awon bookworm oshi " Esther retorted making the class to laugh as the both girls kept yabbing themselves.

" Oya it's okay na..girls sef must you people always quarrel ?" Trust asked and got a smack on his head from Gertrude.another girl

" Abeggi...rephrase that.it's not all girls that like to quarrel " she said and he sneered

" now that you hit me on my head.you don't know it's quarrel that you were looking for?" Trust said and getrude snorted in reply

" but I shaa pity Jacob ooh..that Man's mind is far from heaven. As in if he forgive Jacob eehn just know that Jacob use jazz come school " Aaron said making the class laugh again.

Soon someone ran quickly inside the class as if he was being chased by monsters

" Sir Daniel is coming. Sir Daniel is coming " he chanted making everyone scurry to their seats in fear.even me who was on my chair had to bring out my note in pretence.

We all knew better that if Mr Kolade's heart was at the back.then sir daniel the economics teacher, didn't even have a heart at all.

Him, mr Ayodele and Mr Kolade were the three worse teachers in Berley international.

After minutes of silence and no sir Daniel. Someone had volunteered to check out if it was true

" mtcheeww...no one is coming " Anna said and the whole class heaved with relief before it became rowdy again.

" Every body shhhhh " Angel, a beautiful dark girl ran up to the front of the class.she was among Clara's minions and yupp

My class was the most noisy one in the whole of Berley ss3 students.

The class had gone quiet a little to listen to her as she stood in front of the class, flipping her braids back in a sassy manner and holding a piece of paper.

She was fun to be with and I was cool with her except that she was sometimes a show-off and a big time liar.this is for another day

" so I have a couple of gossip here.who's interested ?" She asked and some people muttered a reply

" ogbeni talk joor " trust said and I heard Annette retort

" Amebo " I burst out laughing with a few of my other classmates. Knowing that is the kind of thing she could say and trust glared at her in reply

" who else knows that there's a new student in school?" She asked with excitement fully written on her face

" boy or girl ?" Someone asked from behind

" Boy durrh and guess what? He's in science class " she replied shrieking and I scoffed

" mtcheeeeeeeewww " Esther hissed loudly.drawing the class attention to her side

" what's doing this one ?" Clara asked

" you're doing me " esther retorts and then adds "I only wonder why you're so excited when he probably haven't talked to you ?"

" how is it your business now?? " Clara fired and there came around another round of bickering

" Sir Daniel is coming ooh " someone announced again walking into the class

" ugggh...old trick say something better " trust said with a hiss

" Everyone freeze where you are.if you move I move you !! " a voice bellowed. And truly what trust thought to be old trick actually wasn't a trick.

I silently thanked God that I wasn't standing, talking or doing something noisy as I watched sir Daniel gather the less fortunate ones he caught to the staff room.

After sir Daniels episode, we had two more lessons and soon it was time for lunch break.I stepped out of the class with a yawn

" mehn..where's sophie so we'll go for break ?"Annette asked and I shrugged

" I don't know.let's just go.she'll come later " she says pulling me to the cafeteria and to out usual table

" hi girls " Adam greets as he places his food on our table.Annette raises her brows in confusion while I bit back a small smile as I replied

" hi.Adam "

" since when did you start eating at our table ?" Annette asks and I mental pinch her small mouth to shut up as Adam smirks

" since this session. Right meera?" He asked and I stare at him surprisingly. This was a fake Adam. I know

" yes..Adam " I replied and Annette sneers

" hey chin chin " dozie called wrapping his hands around me and I quickly shrugged it off

" get those sticks away from my shoulder "

He smirks making himself comfortable beside me at the table with Sola and priye holding hands together as they sat opposite us

" sticks with muscles " sola said and I chuckled

" can you even picture that thing " Annette says chuckling

" you have an awful imagination sola" Adams said and Sola snorts back at him in reply making us all laugh at her.

" where is sophie ?"

"Yes yes..who is looking for me ?" She asked with a tired expression making our heads to snap at her

" oh my goodness. Who's stressing my baby girl like this na?" Annette cries out dramatically and sophie huffed

" is it not your busybody literature teacher.saying I should show him around the school " she says using her thumbs to point at the guy beside her

Our eyes trailed her thumbs and finally landed at the guy standing behind her.looking at me in a suprised manner while the rest look at him like he just came down from mars.

" oh my gosh Ayo???? "

" M.J " Ayo said as I quickly jump on him to give him a bear hug.

Sophie and the rest at the table all give me suprised looks

" you know him?" Sophie asked and I nod

" yes..lemme introduce you " I say excitedly

" hey Ayo meet Annette, Sophie..the one you already know, Sola, Priye, Adam and Dozie " I say pointing at each of them.

" and guys meet Ayo my best buddy since childhood "

" guys I'm Ayo Bamidele. Nice to meet you " Ayo says smiling

While everyone replied a welcome to Berley dozie acted like he was oblivious to what was going on.he was busy typing something on his phone like it was soo important.

I pursed my lips in a thin line.using my butts to make space for Ayo to sit down beside me.dozie gave me a murderous look which I pretended to be oblivious to.

" hmmm" Annette fake coughed as she stared at dozie and I in amusement.I rolled my eyes at her.just when someone or rather three figures approached our table.

" hey guys..Hello Ayo " Clara said settling down with Angel and Sydney.she fake smiled at us as she sat down making Annette scowl

" why are you sitting here Clara ?" I found myself asking in an annoyed tone as clara smiled

" I feel like sitting here.any issues with it ?" She asked still smiling fakely at me.

A lightbulb shimmers in my head as I smirk at her in an utterly sweet manner

" no..no biggie..excuse me " I say getting up from my seat.
