Stefan and Ronald reached the police station and spoke to the officer in charge, they already have the permission of the chief police officer and the officer in charge have to cooperate with them.
Then a lady cop went towards Ashley's detention room and she hit a wooden stick to the iron rod of the cell and yell, "Hey, you come out fast." The cop pointed at Ashley.
Her attitude startled Ashley and Marie, they are already treating badly in this detention center, now what does she want?
"What are you staring at me like an idiot, come out fast." Constable unlocked the door and Ashley came out with a scared face.
Lady cop took her to a dark room, made her sit on a chair in front of the table and she sat opposite to her and switched on a light hanging above Ashley's head. As the light went on its sharpness pierced Ashley's eyes making her squeezed her eyes.
Lady inspector held Ashley's jaws tightly and glare at her with fierce eyes. She is the cop who was present when police arrested Ashley and she has witnessed Ashley's crime on video. When all those were not enough she even tried to kill the victim in front of the police.
Obviously, she has a deep hatred from the criminal who has already been arrested, still, dares to commit the crime in presence of police officers.
"What's wrong, are you so fragile, young miss? When you can't bear the sharpness of light, then how will you bear our toucher and how will you bear when you will be hanged up till the death." Lady constable slam her hand on the table and said in a sharp piercing tone.
Ashley's body trembled in fear. Although she has committed crimes, she definitely never thought her retribution will be so soon.
"W... What, d...... death penalty?" Ashley stutter with tears in her eyes.
Lady cop's lips wide in smirk seeing Ashley trembling in fear and she answered more strongly, "Yes, you will be sentenced death penalty soon. Now stop shedding crocodile tears as you are not aware of your own crimes. You attempt to murder your sister not only one time but four times, sad she is still safe and you end up at your correct place."
Ashley was so scared by the cop's attitude that she forgot how many crimes she has committed till now and she yells, "Four times, no, no I didn't do that."
Lady cop being irritated again slammed her hand on the table and yell at Ashley, "Lower your voice and don't you dare to lie to me. You did that and we have all proof against you and last time you pushed that poor girl from the stairs in front of all the cops and our boss is also an eye witness of your crime. He will testify against you. now nobody can save you."
Ashley started crying vigorously and fold her hands in front of the cop. "Officer, please help me, do something, I don't want to die."
Lady cop again held her jaw tightly and said fiercely, looking in her eyes, "Oh, young miss, you don't want to die? But now you have no way to escape, except one."
Ashley's scared face has a glow of hope and she asked impatiently, "What was that?"
"You can only beg for mercy in front of your husband and his brother, your sister's husband, if they will back off their case back and withdraw their complaint, this is the only way you can escape."
Lady cop said meaningfully and an evil smirk appeared on her face looking at Ashely.
Just then Ashley saw Stefan, and behind him, Ronald entered the room.
Lady cop stood up, lean towards Ashley, and mumbles in her ears, "Get down on your knees, bow your head and beg for mercy. This is your last chance, don't let it go."
She once again looked at Ashley's pale and confused face with an evil smirk, moved from there, and stood at the side a little farther to let Stefan and Ronald talk to Ashley.
She was here to scare Ashely which will later help Stefan and Ronald to make Ashley agree on their condition, now she has done her part well, she just stood aside with a triumphant smile on her face seeing Ashley.
Ashley covered her face with both hands and burst into tears, crying vigorously and plead with Ronald. "Ronald, please save me; I don't want to die."
"You have to think about it before committing several crimes," Ronald said in a blank tone and turned his face ruthlessly.
"I know I have done wrong, and I realized it now, I will bear any punishment but I don't want to die. Ronald, please save me from the death penalty." Ashley begged between tears.
"Ashely will cut off your fake tears and your case has nothing to do with me, you tried to harm Sarah, now Stefan will not let you go without punishment. If you want to escape, then kowtow him and beg for mercy." Ronald said irritatingly.
Ashley looked at Stefan, stood up and down on her knees in front of Stefan, but before she could open her mouth to say something, Stefan interrupted her.
"Ashley, I am not in a mood to see your fawning drama. The straight point is if you want me to withdraw my complaint and set you free then sign your and Ronald's divorce papers."
Stefan threw the divorce papers on the floor in front of her and looked at her with cold but stern eyes.
Ashley took the divorce papers, stood up, and was about to deny, but again Stefan didn't let her speak.
"Don't you dare to deny, otherwise we will file the case in the court. Through magistrate, Ronald will definitely get the divorce as you are already tagged as a criminal. This is the best ground for him to get a divorce from you and after that, you will not even have the option to get rid of your punishment."
Stefan was correct, Ashley has nothing to say against it.
"Stefan is right, you tried to kill Sarah several times and he will fight till last to demand the death penalty for you," Ronald added to scare Ashley more.
Even though Ashley was scared, she doesn't want to divorce Ronald. "I need some time to think."
Stefan lifts his hand while glancing at his wristwatch and said lazily, "You have only one minute, think and answer fast."
What, only one minute how could she decide on such an important matter in such a short span? Ashley's face turned pale and Stefan and Ronald's lips curled into an evil smirk. They looked at her, then at each other.
