VICTORIA'S POV....

"Ayo." I turned abruptly to face Ayo who had a death glare on us.

Shit.

"Hey." I greeted just to ease the tension between three of us.

They both had death glares at each other.

"Babe, can we talk? Alone." He said still not taking his eyes off Ola.

I stared at Ola and he gave me a reassuring nod, earning a snort from Ayo.

I got up and Ayo technically dragged me out.

What's his problem.

"What?" I pulled myself out of his grip.

"This was where you were?" He asked

"Yes, So?" I asked back

"I was worried about you, I didn't hear from you for about seven hours. And you were here? With him?"

"He is in the hospital."

"Doesn't mean you should spend the whole time with him."

What?

"You're jealous." I said in amusement

"Of course I am. My girlfriend is with her ex. It's natural to be jealous." He admitted

"My best friend got involved in an accident. It's my duty to care."

"You would've at least told me. And why weren't you picking my call?"

"My phone's silent." I told him.

"Okay you're coming home with me."

"No." I frowned

"Your exam starts next tomorrow. Stop being stubborn and listen to me for once." He said.

"But..."

"Victoria?" I turned to face the voice.

"What?!" I growled out, transferring aggression to the person that just called my name.

I turned around and my expression softened when I realized who I just shouted out.

"Ella." I called out too.

"I came to check on him." She told me and I saw the fear and anxiety.

My bad.

"Um...okay. I'll go with you. I need to say goodbye. I have exams coming up and I need to read. But I'll come visit." I said to her and she gave her cute smile.

"Ola..."

"Lemme guess, you're going." Ola interrupted and I nodded.

"I'm sorry..."

" I understand. I'm just gonna try and not die of boredom." He laments and I rolled my eyes.

"You won't die of anything cos Ella is going to be here. Abi?" (Right?) I asked Ella and she nodded in approval.

"Victoria I...." Ola began to say but I cut him off with a wave of my hand.

Using my eyes and my head, I nodded towards Ella, Ola only rolled his eyes in reply.

He knew what I meant.

"Ella? What tribe are you?" I asked her nicely.

"Edo. Why?" She asked

"Nothing. So do you understand Yoruba?" I asked and she shrugged.

"Only the common ones." She replied and I nodded and Ola narrowed his eyes at me.

"Ola. I give you till you're discharged. Ti o ba fè omo yii, maa fi òwó mi pa e fun ra mi." (I give you till you're discharged, if you don't end up dating her, I'll kill you myself) I glared and he gulped, his eyes widening in horror.

"Bye. See you later Ella." I smiled and walked out.

OLAWALE'S POV....

I stared at the door Temm-Victoria just exited.

She can't possibly mean what she said. I can't just date another girl. Am I not supposed to be getting over a breakup? Now she's hooking me up.

"So what did she say?" I snapped back to reality at the sound of Emmanuella's voice.

"Um....she-er....was just talking about something we played about as kids." I shrugged and she nodded but I knew she didn't believe me.

"So...." she trailed off.

So......

"You're gonna be out of here by tomorrow." She said slowly.

"Yeah. And when I get back. I'm gonna have a pile of school work to do." I groaned and she chuckled.

"It won't be much work." She shrugged.

"W-Why do you say that?" I asked and she bit her lower lip nervously.

Hey, I know someone who does that.

"I...kinda, helped you out. Like take in attendance for you in class, do some of your home work and I've got some ideas about your project, you know like maybe you should add the fact that....."

"You...did all that?....for me?" I interrupted with amazement.

She's...wonderful.

Great, Victoria is getting in my head.

"Um...I'm sorry if you feel offended. I just thought I would be of great help....."

I zoned out again. Not able to hear what Ella was saying anymore.

She meant it when she said she liked me? Is that why she's doing all this? It's just gonna make her feel how I feel now if I disappoint her.

Maybe Victoria is right. Maybe I should give her a chance.

You're not getting involved in any of that shit...not yet. Victoria's own alone made you flop in your G.P this semester. Nothing is getting to you to loose focus alright?

"I'm sorry, I don't mean it if I did something wrong." I snapped out of my thoughts again to meet with Ella who had a panicked look on her face.

"Um....." I trailed.

I don't know what to say. That's because I wasn't paying attention to her words.

"You know, I'll....I'll just leave." She got up and dusted her dress.

Wait, now I'm panicking.

What do I do?

I don't know.

Wait, don't go.

"Doyouwannagooutwithme." I blurted out too fast that it took me a while to realize what I had said.

And when I did, my eyes widened in horror.

Oh my, I did not just say that. Please let it be my thoughts.

"W-what did you say?" Her big bright orbs of eyes stared intensely at me.

I swallowed the lump I felt grow in my throat.

"I said....do you....do-um....." I began to stammer. My palms became sweaty and so was my forehead. Even my brain couldn't process a lie.

"Do you wanna g-go out with me? Like grab lunch or dinner or maybe breakfast....or maybe not." I rephrased my words when I saw she wasn't saying anything at all.

"E-Ella?" I called and I saw her bite her lip.

I just realized how beautiful they were.

God, Ola stop.

"You, you mean like go out, go out? Like a date type of go out?" She asked and I slowly nodded hoping I didn't say something wrong.

She let out a sigh and I find myself relaxing.

Wait, she didn't reply.

"What took you so long? Of course I'll go out with you." She smiled and now I sighed out.

Thank God.

Wait? What does she mean by what took me so long?

"So...Friday night? Is that alright?" I asked and she nodded.

What a relief.

"Um...I-I've got to get something, I'll be back okay?" She said softly and I nodded.

"Take your time." I reassured

EMMANUELLA'S POV.....

"Take your time." Immediately after his words, I rushed out of the ward, and continued walking till I entered the ladies bathroom.

Then I let it out.

I let it all out.

I screamed as loud as I can.

He asked me out. He finally asked me out. I think I'm gonna explode. Oh my God! After all these years, he asked me out. Thank you lord for answering my prayers.

Oh, I can't wait to tell Favour about this when I get to my dorm. She'll so freak out.

Then she'll start worrying about what I'll wear!

Wait, what am I going to wear?!

It's been a while since I went shopping, I don't have anything nice, other than trousers and shirts.

I need to go shopping!

"Madam, are you alright." I turned to see women staring weirdly at me.

"Yeah I'm fine, why?" I asked

"We heard you scream." A lady told me.

Don't judge me. You'll do the same if the guy you like asked you out. Maybe even worse.

Oh my gosh! He asked me on a date.
