Parth's POV

" You refused to take the home-cooked food with you. It does not go with your cool image... So why should I do what you want? " She asked.

" Because it is good for you. You can't do what he dictated. " I said.

"Home-cooked food is also good for you. You can't eat fast food all the time. " She raised her eyebrow just like me.

" Ok, you pack the food with yours. We will share it during the break. " I said.

" No!! I will go and eat with Tanvi. Lunch break is the only time, I get with her. Moreover, what will others think? " She shook her head and said.

" Fine!!! I will go get it, I don't care what others think. I do what I like, so shall you." I said but just when she was about to argue, I stopped her.

" No more discussion!! I am getting the food But don't you dare to tie them again. " I said glaring at her and going back to my home to get the lunch box. It again reminded me of my mom.

I came out and saw her tying hair. I went to her and untie them.

" If I see you doing that again, I will do this in front of everyone." This time I could not resist and raked my fingers through her hair, they were like strands of the finest silk. She gasped.

" No!! " She said.

" Try me!! I will do this, no matter, who is there to witness all this. Ask Sid, I can do anything. " I said.

" But it is inconvenient to have my hair open for the whole day. I need to tie them. "

" Then tie it artfully as you used to before all this started. I don't want to see that bird's nest on your head again. " I told her.

" Dr Parth!! You are crossing the limit." She said.

" No clumsy girl, you have not seen my limit. Don't dare me. " I said and went near her.

" You are so irritating. " She said out of frustration.l

" You look lovely and beautiful like this. " I said, she blushed a bit and looked even more beautiful.

" Now come fast, we are getting late. " I pulled her with me.

" Why are you pulling me we may fall off the stairs? " She argued again.

" Don't worry, I will hold you before that. You are coming with me. " I said.

" But why?? "

" Don't argue!! I don't want to give any chance to that man to scare you. " I said and we went to the hospital.

Riya's POV

I don't know what was wrong with Dr grumpy today, he was behaving weirdly.

Disha gave me compliments and Kunal who had rejoined after a week was surprised to see me, but he didn't say anything as Dr Parth glared at him the moment he saw Kunal.

Kunal's face was still bruised. He didn't say anything just kept doing his work. It was Lunch break and I picked up my food and was about to go out when Dr Parth opened his lunch box and winked at me.

Weird !!

I went to have lunch with Tanvi and she was pleasantly surprised to see that I was looking like myself after a long time. She had been asking me, why I was dressed up like that and why was I wearing glasses or looking as If I just woke up, but I always avoided giving the right answer. Today she was happy.

She asked me about Vidyut's birthday celebration. I was about to tell her what he did when all of a sudden he came to us and sat beside me.

I wanted to get away from him but he started apologizing the moment he sat down.

" Dr Vidyut, I don't want to talk about it. But you should not have done that. I didn't expect it from you. "

" I am sorry, I didn't think it from your point of view. I did get the tickets for that movie so I took for this one. I was so desperate not to be left alone on my birthday but I guess, I deserved that. See I am sorry, I didn't do anything intentionally but don't you think, I was punished for it? I was left alone to celebrate my most special day all by myself. Please forgive me. I was so ashamed of myself that I went home and didn't even eat anything. " He said.

" Bhai, you didn't eat anything on your birthday?? "

" How could I? I was feeling guilty for making her uncomfortable. But I swear, I didn't even realise it. " He said. Though I knew, he did that he was lying right now but I kept quiet.

Tanvi insisted he has food with us. He shared the food with us and praised the food I had prepared.

" By the way, you are looking very different... Beautiful today. Anything special?? " He asked looking at me.

" Nothing special! Please excuse me... I need to go. " I said and get up to go.

" Please, have food with me at least today. " He said and pleaded me to stay, Tanvi also insisted.

Parth's POV

I opened the tiffin box and was happy to see the Paneer Butter masala, Daal fry and chapati, that she had packed for me. It was very sweet of her to pack the lunch for me as well.

I packed it again and thought of sharing it with Sid. He would be on leave for two days from tomorrow as Gautam bhai was getting married in two days.

I picked up the tiffin box and went to meet Sid.

Sid was very excited about the wedding and told me what was he going to wear and asked me too.

" Parth, I want you to come today itself. I will not take no for an answer. For the next three days, you would have to stay with me at our place. " He said.

" What about Shruti, I am sure she is coming? " I asked but he was sad that Shruti was having some problems at her uncle's place where she lived and could not come for all the functions though she promised to come for the wedding.

" Sid, I want to bring someone," I said with a smile.

" We are your family, you don't have to ask any of us to call anyone. Call whoever you want to. But I am just curious, is it... " He asked with a smile.

" Humm... Riya " I said and nodded.

" Wow!! When did that happen??" He asked with a big grin.

" Nothing happened... we are just friends. " I said.

I don't know, why I said that... I was attracted to her very badly. Maybe, I didn't want him to tease me.

But that was true as there was nothing between us other than friendship.

" Just friends?? Shut up!! I know you like him... I could see that you liked her. " He said firmly.

" Ok, I am just attracted to her. Nothing serious! " I said.

" Liar!! You can't lie to me. Come, I will go and invite her myself. Anything for you, brother. " Sid said and hugged me.

" Let's eat food first, I am very hungry. " I said.

" Ok, let's go, and meet your 'just friend' and have her favourite pasta with double cheese. " He said.

" No!! " I shook my head.

" No?? "

" I brought food from home. " I said with a smile.

" You what??" He was shocked.

" Don't act!! You heard what I said. " I said.

" I did, but can't believe it. You never liked bringing food from home, even when the aunty was alive. She used to force you to take the lunch she used to prepare for you. How come you got it now?? " He asked.

" Someone made it and insisted that I must. I didn't want to hurt the feelings. So... " I said and smiled.
