Parth's POV

" I have no problem, Dr Vidyut. Please be rest assured. " Riya said to him but he kept looking at me as if he suspected me of doing some harm to her.

" We are here, if you need my help, I am right here. Don't hesitate to call me. " He said giving a silent threat to me.

Who was he???

" Yes, I will... But I am safe with him. There is no problem, thanks for your concern. " She said to him formally, he nodded and left us alone.

" Tell me now... " She asked me like a stubborn child.

" Who was he? How do you know him? " I asked as the way he was behaving made me uncomfortable.

" Who? " She asked.

" This doctor, with your friend. " I said.

" He is Dr Vidyut Sharma, he is in Internal medicine. " She told me

" I know that, who is he?? Why was he behaving over-friendly all of a sudden? "

" Tell me one thing, why am I supposed to report to about, everything I do?? " She said.

What happened to her now?

" Calm down!! We will talk once we go home. " I said.

" No!! I will not go home with you or talk to you till I know what is going on. Tell me everything... Why did you beat him??" She was being adamant.

" You want to know what your precious friend has done to a girl?? Come with me and see what he did to Shruti. We wanted to kill him. " I said holding her hand and pulling her out of the party.

That doctor came rushing to us again and stopped me. I glared at him and told him to stay away.

" Dr Vidyut, please leave us alone. I am absolutely safe with him, he is my friend, I trust him." She said to him. He nodded and went away.

" Who the hell is he?? " I said as I was thoroughly irritated by now.

" First you tell me, what did Kunal do to her?? " She asked in a scared voice and tried to pull her hand out of my grasp.

" You won't believe, if I tell you, let's go and see for yourself," I said.

" You are scaring me. " She said.

" Good!! You need to be scared. You are a pure soul... Who helps everyone and think that everyone is just like you. But it is not like that. " I said and we reached the room I opened the door.

She looked at me with surprise.

" Go see what they did to her. I am scared to even think, what would have happened to her if we had not reached here on time..." I said and pulled her inside the room. She saw both of them sleeping on the bed.

" What is this?? They are sharing a bed?? Why have you brought me here to see this? " She glared at me

" They are not sleeping together, they are unconscious. Kunal spiked their drinks with the help of a friend. They brought Shruti to this room to... we found her just in time and fought but just then Sid swayed and fell on the floor. I rushed to him and they escaped. I can't take them out while Shruti is in this condition and is unconscious. I can't even ask my friends to help. So I made him lie on the bed. Listen, I have said what was there to say, you can see what they did to her. Because you won't believe me. " I said and she picked just a corner of the quilt and the bedsheet, Sid had covered Shruti with.

She looked shocked and covered her again immediately.

" Please don't say anything more. " She said. Her face lost all its colour.

" No!! You need to see and understand... This could have been you, Riya. Stay away from him. I swear if I see him anywhere near you, I will kill him. I will complain against him and get him out of here or we may beat him to the pulp. " I said and she got very scared and burst into tears.

Oh, God!!!

I went to her and took her in my arms and kissed her head. I cursed myself for saying harsh words to her. She wrapped her arms around my torso. And kept sobbing.

I don't know why, but I wanted to keep her there forever in my arms. She was just like a sweet child.

" It's ok, everything is fine and under control. Nothing happened to Shruti, we reached just in time. Nothing will happen to you." I said assuring her.

" You are right, I could have been there... " She was still in shock.

" Don't cry! I am sorry, I didn't mean it that way, I just wanted to make you understand that you should not trust people so easily. It is not always the way it looks like. " I was feeling bad for being harsh with her.

" I am sorry for behaving like this... I didn't know. He said that... " she said but choked as she was still crying.

" Hushh! I am here for you, will take care of you. Don't worry. I will not let him or anyone even touch you. " I said and she nodded.

I wrapped an arm around her shoulder and took her back to the party to make her feel normal. But she was shattered, so I pulled her towards food counters. She shook her head but I made her eat food by bossing around her.

She ate very less but at least she ate something. We both came back to our apartments.

I didn't want her to go to her apartment so soon as I was craving for her company.

But it was getting late and she was a bit upset so I just said good night to her and opened her door for her she went in.

I wanted to ask why this doctor Vidyut was getting so interested in her all of a sudden. But she was already shocked.

I came to my home and went to bed after changing my clothes. I kept thinking about all the incidents and slipped into slumber.

I was woken up by a shrill shriek. What was that?? Was I dreaming??

Just then I heard another scream. I was wide awake now.

Oh, my God!! It was Riya who was screaming?? I jumped out of the bed and ran towards the balcony and saw that her window was open again. I jumped into her balcony and squeezed myself into her room. She was in her bed but it seemed that she was having a bad dream. She was crying and screaming, I could see that she was scared as hell.

I leapt towards her and shook her to wake her up from her dream.

She shrank away from me and pushed away my hands. " Leave me alone!! Don't come near me!!" She said.

I called her by name and shook her again. She opened her eyes and the moment she saw me, I could see the relief on her face and she threw herself in my arms immediately and hid her face in my chest. I hugged her.

She was so scared a few seconds ago and now she was weeping in my arms.

What have I done to the poor girl?? I should not have said that she could have been in Shruti's place. She was so scared, she wrapped her arms around my torso and it seemed that she wanted to hide in my arms. I patted her back, to soothe her.

" Hey, Riya... What happened? Calm down! I am here. Shhh, don't worry!! " I tried to remove her arms from my body as despite being concerned about her, I could still feel all her curves moulded against my body. To add fuel to feelings, she was wearing the tank top and shorts today.

I didn't want to think like that as she was scared as hell. But still, I could not help, what I was feeling. I tried to get some space between us but she was so scared that she tightened her arms.

" T.thanks... he was here... He would... he would harm me, like Shruti. Save me please. Don't leave me. " She said looking at me.

My eyes flicked down to her parted lips then down to where her bosom was firmly pushing against my chest, I gulped and took a deep breath.
