Parth's POV

It was evening, I was annoyed to see Kunal and keeping him at work constantly to keep him away from Riya. She seemed to be upset about something but I could not ask her. I wanted to distract myself and as was a bit free so I went to meet Sid.

" Sid?? Sid?? " I walked into his cabin and I saw that he moved away from Shruti hurriedly.

I was pleasantly surprised to see her there and smiled.

Oh, so he was going to kiss her. Great timing by me. He teased me in the morning, now it was my turn.

" Oh, I hope, I didn't disturb you both?" I winked at them.

" No ! " She said too quickly.

So Cute!!!

" Yes! " Sid said glaring at me. But I didn't bother.

" Awwww... You are looking like a grumpy old man. Won't you introduce me to this lady ?? " I said.

" What ?? But I know you, Dr Parth. " She said.

" Well, I also know you, Dr Singh, but I intended to meet my best friend's girlfriend. " I said and laughed.

" Ok, Parth meet my girlfriend, Shruti. And Shruti, meet Parth, my best friend. Ok?? Done? Bye! " He said and pushed me. But how could I go out and miss such an opportunity to tease them??

" No way... You get lost. Let me talk to her. As she is your girlfriend now and you both are serious, then she and I need to be friends too, to be able to tolerate each other. So, finally, you are together?? " I asked though I knew their situation.

" Parth !!! Yes, we are together. You will get enough time to be friendly with her... But at least, let me spend some quality time with her first. " Sid said, glaring at me, he was really desperate to be with her. He signalled me to leave and even glared at me but I wanted to tease him.

" What ?? You forgot your me for your girlfriend?? I am not important to you now? That day you said that you love me and you will tell the whole world about our relationship. You even wanted to spend the rest of your life with me... How can you forget all that? " I said dramatically and Sid's jaw touched the floor.

Idiot !!

" What?? " Shruti asked. I looked at Shruti, she was glaring at him.

Ouch !! Sid, you are dead, brother!

" Joke !!! It was a joke to make you laugh. He has a weird sense of humour. Ha ha ha... " Sid said to her and glared at me to confirm what he said.

Tough luck, Charlie!

" What ??? What are you saying, Sid??" I said looking as if I was shocked and broken by his words.

" Truth !! Now shut up, please. " Sid said immediately. I wanted to laugh at his condition. He was trying to convince Shruti but she was looking at him with doubt.

" Ufff !!! I wish I had not lived to hear this. I love you so much, Sid... " I continued with what I started.

" Parth !! Enough!! " Sid shouted as Shruti looked shocked.

" Dost, dost na raha... Pyar Pyar na raha... Zindgi hamein tera aitbaar na raha. ( My friend ditched me...there is nothing good in my life.) " I literally made a pose like a Devdas.

" What is going on?? " Shruti asked. She was about to kill him any time soon now.

" Nothing... He is all yours now. Bye!! Hum ji ke kya karenge.... jab dil hi toot gaya. ( I am so heartbroken, I don't want to live anymore...)" I sang the song in K.L. Saigal style.

" Abhi tera moonh tootega. ( I will break your jaw now) Stop this nonsense !! " Sid said and punched me.

I burst out laughing all of a sudden. Shruti was looking at us with shock.

" I am sorry, I was just teasing him. We both are just friends, best friends. " I said and shruti exhaled as if she has been holding it for too long.

" It took me 5 years to clear all the misunderstandings. Please don't say all this. " Sid said and I nodded with a smile.

" Sorry !!! But how could I leave this opportunity to tease you?? Shruti, Please, be rest assured... This idiot is only and only in love with you. So much so, that he irritated me to hell. " I said to Shruti.

" Are you sure?? " Shruti asked.

" I am absolutely straight yaar. Can't say anything about Sid. " I winked again.

" Siddharth?? " Shruti looked at him with an eyebrow raised.

" Parth !! I will kill you. " Sid glared at me.

" Ok, fine !!! It was nice meeting and teasing you Shruti. Sorry for that... But I enjoyed every minute of it. " I said and smiled.

" Yeah... Ok !! "

" Ok, bye Sid, enjoy some quality time with your girl... We will catch up later." I said.

" Oh, no... Wait!! You can stay, as it is, I was waiting for someone to pick me up from here. " Shruti said to me.

" Oh, yes !!! Who is coming?? You are not going anywhere with anyone. I will not let that happen. " My over Possessive friend said.

" Well, it is bound to happen. I am all set to go. I even packed a bag. " she said and he was getting angry.

" You are going with me. I will break the jaw of the person who is coming to pick you up. Where are you going with a bag?? "

" Don't you dare to even say that... Or be ready to be a punching bag. She is going to my place with me. I dare you to stop me. " We heard a voice and turned towards it.

" Hey!! What are you doing here?? You came to pick her up?? " Sid smiled and went to give her a light hug.

Oh, god!! She was so pretty.

" Now, break my jaw. " She said.

" Are you mad?? I don't have a death wish. I am yet to get married. I don't want to die before that. " He said and Maurvi and Shruti burst out laughing.

" Oh!! My god, she is so beautiful? Sid, you idiot, why did you never introduce her to me? " I said going towards her.

" Because I don't have two heads on my body. " Sid said with a broad grin.

" What does that mean?? " I asked.

" That means that I have only one handsome face and I can't afford to let my brother rearrange it. " He answered.

" What? From where does your brother comes into this?? " I was confused as hell.

" Because she is Maurvi, my would-be sister-in-law. Gautam's fiance. Maurvi, he is my best friend, Parth. " He introduced us.

Oh, God!! I loved my face too.

" Hi, Parth !!," Maurvi said with a smile.

" Sorry bhabhi... Even I have only one face. I am ok with my face, I don't want to get it rearranged. Sorry. Don't tell Gautam bhai... Bye !! " I said and Maurvi nodded with a smile. I said bye to all of them and came out of his cabin.

"Sir, someone came to call you l from your department, you have a patient, you need to see him. " A nurse said putting down the phone. I nodded and went to my department.

I saw that Disha was talking to the patient and Kunal was doing what I had instructed him to do. But where was Riya?

The patient turned to me and showed me his reports. His doctor had prescribed certain tests including biopsy.

I told Disha and Kunal to take the samples in front of me.

" Where is Dr Riya?? " I asked. Just then she walked in and joined us.

" Where were you, Dr Riya?? " I asked.

" I had gone to the washroom, sir. " She said without looking at me.

She looked very serious and upset. What happened to her?? Was she having pain in her foot? Poor, clumsy girl.
