Parth's POV

" You wanted to say something, Dr Riya?" I asked.

" Sir, one of my bags... is here in your cabin, I forgot it here earlier. " She said looking at the table.

" Yeah, take it! " I said and she picked her bag and left before I could even get to know.

Sid also left after some time as he was planning to go for dinner with his sister-in-law.

I reached home after eating my dinner and knocked at her door.

She opened it after a minute. She was tying the belt of the robe. And her hair was open and a bit damp.

I was shocked to see that she had such long and beautiful hair. Why does she always keep them tied so badly in that messy bun??

" Yes, sir?? " She said and looked a bit uneasy.

" I need to talk to you for a minute regarding something important. " I said looking at her as she looked very different from her usual appearance.

" Don't worry sir, I will not say anything to anyone, it's your private matter. You can rest assured. " She said.

" What?? What does that mean?" I asked.

" Oh nothing, sir. Let it be... I was about to make a coffee for myself, would you like one?? "

" Coffee and you together have usually been dangerous for me, but I will take it provided you make it and leave it on the kitchen counter, I will pick it up and step back. " I said with a smile she rolled her eye and smiled.

" You wanted to talk about something?" She asked.

" Yeah, see as your senior and your neighbour, I wanted to suggest you stay away from Kunal. I can see a friendship budding between you two since you helped him." I said and tried to look away from her but somehow she looked very different, very innocent, vulnerable and beautiful.

Her long silky straight hair was freshly combed, were still dripping an occasional drop and even her skin looked, damp and fresh as if she had just scrubbed her face.

Her eyes were beautiful which she always hide behind her glasses, today she was not wearing any and I could see her long dark and naturally curled eyelashes. She looked different and pretty.

Shut up, Parth!! You said this 4th time. My inner voice said.

Hmm... But she is...

Ughhh!! Yes, she is. I agree now for god sake, stop saying that. My inner voice said.

Yeah... You just shut up, let me talk to her.

" Sir, there is nothing like that, I just helped him as I thought that he had too many things to do. While both Disha and I were free. Sir, can I ask, why do you always give him more work? " She asked.

" There is nothing like that, he needs to learn to take the pressure. " I said.

" So do we, sir!! We need to learn to work under pressure as well. We are also your interns, sir. Don't you think, you are giving him more opportunities than us?? Why?? Because he is a male Doctor and just like others, you think that a man is more capable than a woman?? I didn't know you could think like that. " She was confronting me.

" Will you please stop?? There is nothing like that... I am not giving him extra work because I think that you are Disha are less competent than him, in fact, I think you both are much better doctors than him. " I retorted.

" Then why do you do that? Because there is no comparison between the work you give to him and us, the amount of work he is doing is more than we are doing. This is not fair, he doesn't even get proper time to eat food. "

" That's not true I always give him one I break just like you before or after the break. " I said.

" But why can't he have a break with everyone else? Sir, he doesn't even get a chance to socialize with other people because he is always working during break time. " She prepared the coffee and gave it to me.

" Dr Riya, please stay out of it and away from him. Trust me, I know him for a long time as he has studied at this institute only. He is not good... I can't say more than that, you must understand. " I replied.

" So, he was right, it is about some old personal grudge. " She asked.

" Yes, it is... But he deserves that. How can he create problems between a couple? What is wrong with it, if I am keeping him busy so that he can't do more damage? " I retorted.

" Oh!! "

" Yes!! He knows very well that they are madly in love, yet he is creating misunderstandings between them. Please stay away from him! He is bloody... " I said but controlled myself.

" Don't worry, sir. He is just a colleague to me. " She assured me.

" Nice to know... So tell me something about you. "

" I am from Meerut, but wanted to do my internship from here, so I am here. " She said.

" Want to continue your studies or just internship and then job?" I asked.

" No, I plan to do my MD. "

" In which field?? "

" Well, let's see... I am confused, Radiology, pathology or dermatology. "

" Oh, then you must meet my best friend, Siddharth. He is the head of the dermatology department here and his elder brother is Radiology. You saw him today in my cabin. I will introduce you to him, you can ask him about dermatology and radiology in detail and make up your mind. " I said with a smile.

" I have seen him with you once or twice before today as well. The relationship between you seems to be rather special. " She said with a smile.

" I love him, he is the most important person in my life. I can do anything for him. Kunal is hurting him, I would not spare him if he continues to hurt Sid. " I said getting emotional all of a sudden.

" Well, I must say, Dr Siddhart is very lucky to have you in his life." She said.

" No, I am lucky to have such a person. He is sweet, simple, very loving, caring but very emotional. Takes care of others' emotions... So when his overprotective elder brother is not around him, I become overprotective of him. " I said and she smiled.

My eyes drifted to her lips. They looked very soft and beautiful. What would it be like, to taste them??

Wanted to kiss those plump lips. Beautiful!!

What the hell!! I must go home...

I started drinking my coffee fast as I wanted to go to my home. I was behaving a bit weirdly today.

" Oh, please have these cookies, I got them fresh out of the bakery today. " She said and was coming towards me with a plate of cookies when she slipped all of a sudden on the water droplets, which must have dropped from her hair.

I ran towards her, she was trying to gain her balance. It looked like a scene from some slow animation film with cookies flying in the air around her.

I was standing too far away from her so before I could save her from falling, she fell on the hard floor.

Ouch!!
