Chapter 24: Chapter 24
The queen observed Richard by sending a branch in to the
palace. She was really worried as he remained motionless!
He looked normal as all the wounds had healed but his
consciousness had not returned…
Reans were always very confident about their knowledge
of medicine and healing but they couldn’t do anything!
In the meantime Ro had brought the gadgets with the help
of some Aatians and Zo and his team were trying to find
out if they were tools of communication! They were all
very primitive gadgets and one of the gadgets certainly
resembled a tool he had seen on Earth, a radio…He knew
it was used for sending and receiving signals. He could see
a repeated message was received… As no one was sending
from this end he assumed it was receiving some kind of
message from somewhere but he couldn’t decipher it…
Victon was called and he brought the Aatians’
communication team. They said it was kind of very
primitive, before their time. But the Aatians library would
have some answers!
So they waited…
Zo as well as the Aatians were not able to find the
purpose of the remaining gadgets… but they guessed them
to be some kind of weapons!
When the Cynig came to check the progress, he was told
of the developments… He tried to decipher the signal that
was beeping….he thought it was the same thing…
‘Where are you?’ yes he thought that the signal was asking
again and for the location!
He told this to Zo.., ‘It is dangerous to have a tool that is
still receiving signals! It should be wrapped in electricity
conductor! Victon get some of our metal foil that we use
to cover the gadgets’
The urgency in his voice made him to dash across the
foyer to get in to his orb which he parked near the palace
entrance!
The other Aatians who had gone to the library had brought
the old book that described about the signals and they
compared with what they heard. The Cynig was absolutely
right…
The signal was asking repeatedly, ‘where are you?’
The Cynig asked them if it was possible to locate the
origin of the signal and they said they could try. But he did
not want to waste much time keeping it open like this
would in turn make, whoever was sending the signals to
track them down…
Zo immediately understood the seriousness and placed
their metallic foil that they use for making their weapons,
on the radio… The signal stopped immediately.
The Cynig told them to wrap it properly and keep it
somewhere underground so that it wouldn’t receive any
signals and could not be tracked too …
The Cynig went near the queen and sat on the seat where
Richard usually sat! He did not want to think about any
scene where Richard was not a part… he wanted so much
to be with him and learn about Earth… It was really a
blow… Now it was the fifth day and there was no
improvement in Richard… He had always thought that the
Aatians were very good in healing and but even the best
healers were not able to heal Richard…
The queen interrupted his thoughts, ‘Why are you so sad
Cynig ? Did you consider King Richard as your alter ego?
I think the Reans were planning to modify his genomic
imprinting to extend his life span…. I think it was God
sent opportunity to do it! Hope they have done it!’
The Cynig was distressed, ‘why you and me are like dead
walking because of the same and why do you wish it on
him… Moreover, Richard should be asked for the
consent…if I were them, I would never ever do something
without his knowledge!'
The queen was pleased and sighed long, ‘as usual you
always think about what is correct than what is
convenient! I just wanted to know your opinion on this
matter! Now we have the mutual understanding, our
priority should be how to save him… This is the fifth day
and there is no improvement! I am worried!'
The Cynig agreed, ‘why don’t we call everyone and
discuss…we may get some idea or some useful
information that we have missed may come out! This
inaction is not alright’
The queen agreed , ‘ yes you are absolutely correct Cynig
…
I will ask the information to be passed to all… you do
the same… let us gather outside the city perhaps near the
beach, before Alpha sets’
The Cynig informed Victon the same and he asked all the
department heads and the head of other beings to come to
the beach.
So Victon sent word across the ocean, far and near. The
sea had never seen such gathering …. All the beings small
and big moved towards the particular beach… their enmity
forgotten and silently marched towards the beach…
It was spectacular to see the mass movement of the
plants… trees, shrubs, herbs, flowering plants, fruit
bearing trees … all of them could be seen moving towards
the beach.
They all knew that there was an alien invaders but their
King Richard successfully killed them all… It was a
puzzle and curiosity and concern brought all of them!
Victon had never seen this …. The ocean was teeming
with all kinds of beings! The land was covered by the
plants! There was such hushed excitement in the air.
He went back to tell the Cynig about the developments but
before he could tell , the Cynig had been lifted by the
queen… The trees carried him and dropped him near the
beach on a high rock.
There was a hushed silence and he looked around… The
land and water were completely covered with all kind of
beings! He had never seen them together like this!
He remembered the empty land and water once upon a
time…. In the course of time the reverse evolution had
brought diversity among the beings!
He was given Reans’ amplifier and the Reans stood at the
base of the rock in a tight group. They looked like the
dwarf humans and most of them had seen them for the first
time!
The Cynig called Victon and Re to be near him and Re
transformed into an eagle … and landed near him. He
asked Re to perch on his shoulder so that all could see
him.
Most of them had never seen Cynig before, but to see him
shining like a God and standing with the eagle on his
shoulder was a sight that they would never forget!
Cynig raised his voice even though he was given a
powerful amplifier!
Cynig greeted them all and there was a huge response
from the crowd. He waited for them to become quite!
‘
Well , We have not gathered here for a happy occasion…
we have called you here to inform that our King Richard
was seriously injured in the fight to save us all from the
alien invasion. The creatures were like weeds and
multiplied very rapidly and we had no choice but to fight
with them! King fought so valiantly, protecting all of us…
But now he is lying there unconscious and we have failed
in reviving him... We do not know what would be a best
solution under this circumstance. We welcome any
suggestion from anyone!’
The aathi the whale exhaled heavily and said loudly, ‘we
will give our life’
Cynig was touched by the whale’s offer… ‘Dear aathi ,
King Richard wouldn’t want it. Now we must find a way
to revive him’
One of the Aatians greeted Cynig and said, ‘What about
our healers and their crystals … The crystal would revive
even an almost dead person...’
Cynig, ‘ no use … we tried..’
The lion slowly came out and said, ‘ the King was not
from this place… we wouldn’t know how his body would
react… so we cannot do anything… perhaps the Alpha
light may bring him back’
Cynig became silent. The lion’s suggestion had one
important point… The King was not of this Arda!
Zo was excited, ‘We have a healer whom we know on
Earth … perhaps we could get her’
Everyone started talking as the suggestion sounded
feasible…
Cynig said, ‘Very good suggestion … but instead we
could take him there, heal him and bring him back!’
The queen’s voice boomed across, ‘Our King will never
be taken anywhere’
Re flew round and came back to perch on him. When he
knew all their attention was with him he said, ‘No way
Richard would be allowed to take such a hazardous
journey, especially in this condition!’
Cynig, ‘well then, you can bring a healer from the Earth as
soon as possible… yes… do we agree’
Everyone agreed by shouting yes…yes…yes
The noise level shook the mountains around!
So it was decided that the Reans would bring the healer
from the Earth to revive King Richard!
