Chapter 311: Chapter 311: Level 10 breakthrough- Is it really possible? (3) Devising a plan

"Don’t mistake me, Theo." The baron spoke.

"I am not asking you this because we are just having troubles. It was just to state what the scale of these ants have reached." He spoke and continued, "And I will tell you what consequences this will actually have."

Theo sat there with all ears on the baron, even Clara and Elias were curious.

"When we enter a gate, the first few days are okay because things have not noticed us. But with around a couple hundred individuals all trying their best to level up in this environment... things start to change."

"What will happen in a while should have happened a lot sooner if there were more individuals with us. Not even my aura can stop the stronger beasts from coming if they come up in big groups, Theo." The baron explained.

"And now that these ants are taking so much of the territory, getting big and being a big part of this ecosystem in eating these crawler beasts... I feel like it’s inevitable." He spoke and ended speaking, making Theo just look at him and nod.

"But you can’t control this, right?" He asked again, and Theo thought about it.

"...No, father. They will keep growing like this, and maybe, in a month, they might just increase to 10,000 individuals. All as big as my whole hand." Theo spoke while showing his hand as if he was a proud father showing others about his children.

The baron nodded, "Then I guess I need to get you three prepared more than before."

Hearing that, Theo looked at Clara and Elias who were doing the same. Wasn’t all this training leaning toward the extreme to begin with?

"If another one of those bigger worms comes to the camp, how are you going to take care of it?" The baron asked while looking at the trio.

"Make a plan right now of how you will individually defeat the big worm and then as a team. I will give you some time to think about it." He spoke and went to the smoker to check out if the jerkies were done or not.

The trio fell silent and thought about it dearly hard.

"The worm was quite big and we never got to see if it could use any ability as my lord and the mantis took care of it the moment it came out..." Clara thought out loud.

"That makes sense, for something this big, we need to be sure what we will be doing. Are any of you confident to solo this creature?" Theo asked.

"...That might be a bit difficult if I am being honest. The big crawler was around level 12, which is highly above our level of strength. I think the only option is to work together." Elias spoke and looked at Theo only to see him in a daze.

’Can I get the ants to do something about it?’ He questioned himself and started thinking what could be done.

"The mantis is going to be one of the key attackers in my mind, it can travel up the body with speed and dodge its attacks. Its main skill’s cooldown is not that long so the attacks will keep coming every quarter of a second.... I am not even sure if there is anything I can order it around with." Theo spoke and started to draw a small head on the ground that looked like mantis with a stick.

"The boar and the pup will have to take the ground, they both have skills that can do heavy attacks but the main problem will be whether they will be able to tear through its skin." Clara spoke.

Soon her eyes widened in realization and so did Theo and Elias’s.

Their eyes went on the half eaten worm’s body where all the skin that was skinned was kept too.

It was rotting a lot more and was supposed to be out of this camp soon but Theo told the ants to use the meat instead as they ate in quantity and a lot faster. The mantis dabbled in its meat a lot often too.

Clara gave a mental command for both the pup and the boar to come forward while Theo gave it to mantis.

Elias did the same thing but it seemed the ape didn’t take it that well when he had finally found some freedom up in the trees.

In five minutes, all of them were in front of the worm’s body looking at it with drooly mouths.

Clara was up first and she told the boar to use its skill.

The boar’s tusks got covered in the reddish aura and it went sprinting toward the worm only to ram them in with as much aggression as it could.

Everyone heard a loud thud noise and when the boar retracted, everyone could see two small holes in the worm’s body leaking a lot of blood.

"It can damage, young master. But as you see, the ability is already off. Everything was used in that one attack and now there is a wait for a minute." Clara spoke and felt disappointed in the results.

"This is already good enough, boar." Theo went and patted its head making its eyes flicker and the tail wag a little, "Good job."

When Clara saw that, she came back to her senses and went to show her love too. The boar did its best and that was all that mattered.

It was the turn of the wolf now and it was sent sprinting toward the worm.

Its claws started glowing at the last moment and it pounced on it like a predator and scratched it with both its front paws’ claws.

It even bit down on the worm’s body in the process only to not be able to pierce through with the teeth.

But when it got away, everyone could see the lines of clawed scratches deep inside the worm.

It oozed out blood with intensity too, and Theo felt like it had also done its best.

He went and patted its head too, and the pup just stayed with him for the whole time forward asking for more pats.

It was now the turn of the ape who just seemed to have smirked and bared its teeth at the big worm before moving forward with loud ape noises.
