Chapter 301: Chapter 301: Ant Queen’s evolution complete (1)

Theo looked at it with full curiosity, a smile crept over his face naturally.

The ant’s head wiggled around and soon, half of its body came out.

Theo kept his finger near it, only to realize its body was as big as his index finger.

’It’s broad too... how the hell did we get this, ant queen? Was it the food?’ Theo thought and checked its status.

Reinforced Shardjaw Worker Ant

Uncommon

Level 1

Type: Insect type

’It’s the same??’ Theo thought in dumbfoundedness.

There was one of the reinforced normal ants right near the big one and despite the same size and a substantial level difference between both, Theo could see that the new one was almost five times bigger than the normal.

The ant queen showed images again that meant the more it ate, the bigger or stronger the variants of the ants would come out, making him realize that he was missing such vital information all this while.

’So they became so big because you ate all that crawler meat on your own... Will other types of meat have a difference?’ Theo asked, wishing from the bottom of his heart that the ant queen understood the question.

The ant queen took a while, and Theo saw the big ant start moving here and there. Around ten of the normal-sized shardjaw ants perched all over its body, making the ant queen and Theo both know its capabilities.

Its mandibles were so big that they looked almost as large as its body. The bite size and the force also looked to have increased.

Theo checked the stats and felt like he hit a jackpot. The ant had double the stats of a reinforced one, which had the highest stats till now.

Aside from intelligence, that is. All the ants had less intelligence, and Theo used the ant queen’s help to make them allot the points not only in dexterity but intelligence too.

All the ants had the tendency to select dexterity if not instructed on time, which was a little weird as other beasts didn’t do something like this.

Soon, the ant queen sent some emotions again, making Theo realize that other types of meat could have a different outcome.

’How did this never happen when I was making it a lot before? Was it because I only gave glass and crystals? Those didn’t seem to work, huh... and then I gave them insects to eat too... which also didn’t work... that only points at one thing now... I need to make it eat a lot of different types of meat before its evolution,’ Theo thought.

’I still need a lot of these reinforced shardjaw ants. They are already increasing in size... I should not leave this opportunity.’

’Ant queen, how many more of these ones do you have in the colony?’ Theo asked, making him see images of two more of these ants inside the big chamber.

They seemed to be using their big mandibles to haul more soil than the others, making the digging process a lot faster.

And the last moment of the image told Theo that they were only collecting big amounts of soil in their mandibles and throwing them to the side while the smaller ants took them outside.

This showed a level of professionalism Theo felt like he wouldn’t be able to find in a commoner village. The ant queen was a lot more intelligent.

’It makes me wonder why the ones that tamed insects before weren’t able to make them work this well...’ Theo thought.

Only to already have some inkling about it.

The ant queen and the workers were very useful currently. But what about when there were no different ants in the colony? He had one with water affinity, one with fire affinity, and now ones with better earth affinity.

A normal tamer wouldn’t be able to do something like this.

’Ant queen, try having more of your brood while having this food. Get as many of these new reinforced shardjaw worker ants as you can before we start your evolution. This might be the last time we get our hands on the shardjaw ant queen.’

’Well, not until I get you another colony from the forest. Let’s try getting a queen partially tamed this time.’

The ant queen showed emotions of ’nodding’ and felt surprisingly fired up at the thought of partially taming another queen ant.

Just like that, a few more days passed. Theo kept up his muscle training while the mantis kept going on those secret monster trainings during the morning and then fought those crawlers later in the day.

The experience gain was at an alarming rate as the ants also found something inside the colony.

Theo had to look it up, and apparently, through the images he saw through the ants that were tending to it, there seemed to be a small community of insect-like beings living attached to one of the roots of a tree that got exposed during the digging process.

These beasts, or much to say, small creatures were not partially tamed by the ant queen as apparently, they were going to tend to them and eat their kind the more they grew.

Theo found that concept very unique. The ants were now turning their new home into an ecosystem that could sustain itself if given the opportunity.

But much to Theo’s dismay, he didn’t have the opportunity to derive a lot from this little research as he was getting trained by the baron every hour of the day.

Sometimes his body started having excruciating pains, but according to the baron, he had to just let go of the pain and keep moving forward.

In a few days, Theo started getting used to the excruciating pain, which didn’t seem normal, but his situation was not any normal either.

The camp had now turned into a small wooden village with everyone having a hut of their own.

There were even spiked wooden log fences all around the camp to have some extra protection.

But Theo soon realized that there was no use for it, and the baron had just made it for fun.
