The baron took the undershirt out of the box and looked at it with curiosity.
"Oh my, the quality is really good." The baroness spoke after feeling the texture of it.
"That’s not it," The baron muttered, "I feel healing energy coming out of it, honey." The baron spoke while feeling the soft texture too.
He looked at Theo and Clara for clarification, and this time, Theo took the front.
"This is made from the healing silk of the new silkworm I evolved, Father. With Clara’s help, the silk was made into fabric and then this tunic." Theo explained, making the baron marvel over it.
"This is my size," the baron muttered and looked at Alfred, who nodded to confirm where the measurements came from.
"You keep coming up with crazy things, Theo." He snickered.
"This amount of healing energy should be enough to heal a small injury at a faster pace." He diagnosed, making Theo surprised.
"Is it really that good, honey?" The baroness asked and then moved the fabric along her face to feel the softness.
"Yes."
Theo leapt on that opportunity and asked, "Father, how did you know this when I haven’t even told you about it?"
The baron looked at him and smiled, "Since I last broke through, my senses have been heightened a lot, Theo. The same should happen to you when you reach this level one day."
Theo nodded and noticed his mother in a deep thinking state.
The baron elbowed her arm to get her out of it, which made her look at Theo and Clara with seriousness this time.
"How long did it take you to make this, Clara?" She asked, making Clara smile.
"Once young master Theo provided me with enough silk from the silkworm, the fabric was woven in 2 days as I am still relatively new to this. Taking care of young master Theo was also the first priority, so I only did it in free time." She spoke, making the baroness nod.
"The tunic was prepared in another 2 days after I had enough fabric, my lady." She continued.
"That’s a lot of time for just one tunic. But I understand that you had to take care of Theo. And also, it’s a lot bigger in size than normal due to my husband." She spoke without batting an eye from the undershirt.
The baron was perplexed — he didn’t know whether to take it as a praise or not.
But when the baroness was done thinking, she looked at Theo again.
"What are your plans for this, Theo? The quality is good enough for us as a Barony to sell it on our name’s value. Hm... but a tunic won’t do..." She spoke before going into thought again.
"Theo, why don’t you make bandages out of it? If the healing is as good as he stated, we should test the fabric and know the true potential." The baroness spoke with an excited smile.
The atmosphere was unlike a few minutes ago when everyone was tense. With the baroness’s mood now a lot better, Theo sighed in satisfaction.
"To make it as a bandage..." Theo thought and then looked at Clara, who did the same. "Why didn’t we think of this before, Clara? It was right there." Theo spoke while shaking his head.
"How much fabric is left, Clara? Even a small portion could bear enough results to know if it’s worth putting the effort in or not."
Clara thought for a moment before blurting out, "We have a meter’s worth of strip still with us, my lady. It was going to be waste, so I kept it aside to throw out later."
"Don’t throw it out, bring it to me right now, I will take care of it from there." She spoke with excitement.
"But this is too surprising, Theo. Since when did you have your eyes on making such a thing? And did you make Clara study the books that were meant for you?" The baroness asked.
Theo chuckled, "I have been thinking about it since I got my affinity. I only started when I was finally able to tame the silkworm. As for the fact I am making Clara learn the fabric-making skills — I want her to be involved in this business for the future."
Clara looked at Theo and then her eyes filled with determination. The amount of trust Theo had for Clara made her feel like she had to keep her doubts away from now on.
"You... what?" The baroness asked in utter shock again, making Theo confused.
"You tamed a silkworm this time? But how? And when?" The baron asked frantically too, as if he had a headache again.
"Didn’t I tell you both? The ant queen can help me partially tame any insect as long as it is willing. I have tamed not one but 30 silkworms the past month already." Theo spoke.
Only to realize the problem soon enough — he might not have told them the partial taming thing yet, which made him believe that there was yet another big shock on his parents’ heads again.
"You... what will I even do with you?" The baron spoke while massaging his temples while the baroness kept staring at him in daze.
"Theo, tell us each and every thing about this partial taming in as detailed a way as possible. Don’t you dare withhold a single detail again." The baroness spoke with sharp eyes, including the baron, who nodded in agreement.
Theo chuckled awkwardly but started telling them everything related to the partial tame.
From the point he tamed the spider to the silkworms and the other evolution variants that he had already shown them before, Theo was as detailed as possible.
To have the best help, he needed to first tell the people who were the closest about everything.
When he was done, the baron had a grave expression on his face.
"We were right to not send you back to the academy again... They would have taken you if anyone outside this room even gets to know about it..."
