Chapter 86: Chapter 86
ABUJA, NIGERIA.
The father and son talked for a very long time and before they knew it, the sky is dark an ominous emitting it's rage as if knowing what is about to happen will not only shake few people but a whole lot will have to be revealed. So many underground secrets are going to be reaped no matter how much they all would want it to be a nightmare. Not everyone knows about the many secrets about to be reaped, just one person and maybe another who is now dead. The real battle of a family is about to be issued sooner rather than later.
"I should get your blood tested first before we proceed with telling everyone that you are alive and kicking." Alhaji Malik stood up from his chair and rounded the table to his son, still in trance as if waiting for his one week old bride to wake him up from this nightmare but it didn't happen. He is now completely sure that his son is alive, right there in front of him looking healthier than ever before.
"Why do you think I have drugs in me? I don't feel any pain or addiction, nothing of that sort is wrong with me." Mika'il furrowed his brows this time around at his father giving him another once over. He can't believe his family is alive, living with the fact that he died two days after his mother's demise. What has they gone through with him enjoying life in Seoul and leaving them there to think he was dead? Were they devastated?
He found out about a month ago that he has a family back in Nigeria, never allowed Zara to suspect that he knows where he is from and that he knows about his family being alive. He started suspecting her the minute she yelled at him about his dead family one night when he asked why he didn't remember them.
And then he continue to take her phone at any given time to search about his family in Nigeria and the little information the media is giving him. Those information's aren't nearly enough but what could he do? He was desperate to know about them that he emailed on Nigerian media to ask about them and got a reply almost instantly, he was grateful for the instantaneous reply since Zara won't see it.
"Mr. Anonymous, thanks for the generous charity you gave our company. You are asking about the Masari family right? Well, the matriarch died some months ago along with her first son who followed her few days later. May their souls rest in peace... And now, the patriarch of the family is focused on his hospital. The children, Kauthar Malik Masari got married to one of the youngest renowned soldiers here in Nigeria, Mujaheed Abubakar Danbazau. And Amir Malik Masari married the renowned tailor, Bushra Amani, Mika'il Malik Masari's ex-wife. Afrah Malik Masari went back to school in Cape Town just few weeks after her siblings marriage. This is all we know going on around the family right now for they are really private. We hope our answer will give you whatever it is you are looking for. Once again, thank you very much."
And then his heart stopped, literally after reading that information. Yes, he's donated some money into their account which he's stolen from Zara, anything to get that expensive news. He knew people won't just tell you about someone else's family just like that, hence, he followed his way and got some money from Zara. He actually transfered the money from her new account that has a fake name, more reasons why he should be suspicious of their whole life for the past many months.
After reading those, he asked about the Danbazau's as he felt connected to them. His younger brother married his ex-wife whom is rumoured to be the love of his life around the media. He's seen the short clips of his marriage with Zara and seen the dances with his first wife. There is no way he wasn't in love with that woman and for some reason, his heart bloomed at the thought of going back to her arms again. Some of the articles said he's divorced her, he didn't know when all that has happened, he has no idea he's divorced his first wife, or not.
He saw her photos on the internet, he remembered her and some bits pieces of their life together. The first memory that came to him was when he brutally divorced in front of his mother's corpse and the world in a fit of rage. There were a lot of people present there, watching the scene of a son divorcing his wife atop his mother's dead body. He can't exactly say whether he was fully in his head or not, he knew what he did was utterly wrong. Yes, he might be under the influence of something or someone but he still did divorce her which islamically, is untied.
He was in his senses then, he felt his mother's death after all.
The news about them brought him back though he had to waste some more time getting tickets and hiding those facts away from a very vigilant Zara. She has her eyes on him especially lately, he don't understand why she was paranoid. It is a wonder that he managed to leave the country like that, she didn't see it coming so he took advantage of that and swerved her by surprise. He enjoyed that, the feeling of energy and freedom after sitting inside the cheapest flight to ever exist but what could he do? He can't steal too much from her.
Finding his passport was another hard thing he went through, she hid it very well in her closet where one wouldn't think something like that exists.
"Hello again, Mr. Anonymous! Good day... About the Danbazau family? Bar. Abubakar Sadiq Danbazau is a very renowned lawyer and a judge with his own growing law firm recently opened. He has four children, three males and a female, the youngest. The matriarch of the house is none other than Dr. Mariya Ishaq, the real definition of iron woman. Their three male children, Mujaheed and Mujaddad, twins and Murad, are amongst the top five youngest soldiers we have here in Nigeria. They all recently got married in a connected way. Mujaheed married Kauthar Malik Masari. Mujaddad married Fayha Bamalli, their cousin and Murad who just got married to Hanan Buhari Yakasai. Last but not the least, Bushra Amani who married Amir Malik Masari. That is all we can tell you about the family, Sir/Ma'am. Warm regards..."
And that was the point where he knew there is nothing on earth that could stop him from coming down to Nigeria. He is going to face it up front but first, he had to make sure Zara won't get a whiff of where he is for a day or two. He lied about going to some aviation test in another side of South Korea and will spend two days. He even kept some fake papers to back up his lie so he is sure, she won't find out in the next two days. By then, everything will be sorted and his wife will be back in his arms alongside his daughter.
Darn, was it one divorce or three? He doesn't even know!
"Because, you don't look like yourself and the only thing I can come up with after what you've told me is that, you are under the influence of something." His father explained taking the syringe he will use on him. His son doesn't like injections but Mika'il didn't flinch confirming his doubts on him having something else.
"Oh, okay then. But how about my wife? Should I tell her to come back here in Nigeria so she can give birth?" His son is acting like those headless husbands and that has never being the case when he was with Bushra. That witch Zara did something terrible to his son, it makes his chest ache. How can she be so cruel to someone she says she loves? Then love should not exist again if this is how they do it nowadays.
"How months pregnant is she?" Oh, but he is excited to meet his new grandchild even from a woman as venomous as Zara. His children are all grown up and his first granddaughter prefer his children then him. He shall spoil this one to bones, no one will stop him from doing that. Their lives could be lively, at least.
"Eight months now." Mika'il wasn't sure, he don't want his father to think he is not caring enough but she is either seven months or eight, one of the two.
"It might not be safe for her to fly here heavily pregnant but as far as I know her, she's going to come here even illegally." He murmured those last sentences knowing fully well that Mika'il still doesn't believe that Zara is pure evil and nothing else.
"Yes, you are right. When do I get to meet my family? I want to see them all and my first wife too and daughter." His voice took a desperate turn that had Alhaji Malik faltering from taking off the injection from his skin but he did seconds later. He don't understand what is going on too, he should check himself alongside.
"Hope you know you've divorced your wife and she is married to your bro..." He trailed off sensing just how wrong this sounds. Something worse is going to take place for lives are going to get ruined in just a matter of small time. Maybe now, later or tomorrow at max, he can't hide it and be cursed by Allah.
Amir and Bushra's marriage is going to be nulled!
A brother cannot marry his brother's wife if she is divorced by him, he must be dead before that ever happens, same goes to sisters. And Amir married Bushra because Mika'il divorced her and he is dead but Mika'il is now back! They cannot stay married, for some reason, his heart literally broke inside of him. Bushra deserves each ounce of happiness coming her way, Amir gives her that happiness which Mika'il couldn't. They both are happy, Anaan included in all that set of joy and blissfulness gracing their lives. He does not wish for that to get ruined, if only he could do something else.
Both his sons are going to lose a woman but then again, Allah knows best and they will have to go and ask a scholar immediately. That should be the first thing they do after they are get reunited in the morning. He has already decided to call for a meeting tomorrow in his home. Afrah is only the one absent, she will have to answer her facetime to see what is going on in their threshold again.
"I know, I know. I have divorced her because I thought she killed mother even though it doesn't make sense. I've made a gravest mistake but was it one or three? I cannot be sure what I said, I just knew that I divorced her." He furrowed his brows, not turning around to look at yet another timid nurse taking the syringe from his father. They all are seeing someone risen from the dead, he doesn't blame them.
"It was one, son, luckily." He didn't understand why he added the luckily, he wasn't sure what his intentions were but he's heard from Kauthar that it was only one he did. He didn't say them three times neither had he mention three when he said those. It doesn't mean everything will be alright.
If he is going to be honest with himself, he has no doubt that Bushra Amani won't go back to Mika'il after she gets separated with Amir. He cannot wait to get more knowledge about this marriage thing. He's read somewhere that she can still be married to him since he's divorced her. He would want nothing for them than to be happy forever, Mika'il should also find his merriment somewhere else. From the looks of things though, if Mika'il regains his memories which is about to happen in a day or two after he gets the antidote, he would want Bushra back in his arms.
That is where the danger lurking around will blow so many hearts and lives into little fragments.
"Oh, okay." Mika'il has so many things to ask but kept quite, he does not have the right to question about the woman he so bestially divorced, hence, he'll keep his mouth shut. But can he do that?
"Yes. The reports will be here very soon but before then, tell me what has happened in your life for the past several months we thought you were dead." Alhaji Malik folded his arms on the polish oak table, clearing a fee papers from there so as to not crease anyone medical report.
"I don't know anything about my death honestly until a month ago from the internet. When we were on our way to Seoul, Zara only told me that all my family members are dead and my first wife is locked up in some jail there in Lagos for the murder of my mother. She told me that we need to leave the country or else, that my first wife will come after me next since she is the suspect of my family's death too. She didn't tell me anything about my daughter, nothing. My memories got erased, whole of the late three years and some fragment pieces too. And later on, I stopped remembering everyone and stopped asking her questions about myself because she says it 'triggers' my mental stability..." He kept telling him what happened and transpired between him and Zara.
"Wow, such sly woman you lived with. All of that is a lie! Bushra wouldn't hurt your mother even held at a gunpoint. Zara's stepbrother, raped her and she died a natural death not five minutes later. He confessed everything Zara did then we heard the news about your death..." His father also rearranged the story for him which he listened intently to like a kid who begged for their nighttime story.
-
"He dared to leave me here, hmm? He thought I was stupid, that I don't understand what just happened. Did he think these fake papers are going to lure me into thinking I will keep shut for the next two days?" Zara continue to rant to her friends, her hands going through her hair in utter annoyance.
"Calm down and think things through. You've been rambling like that for hours already, keep shut and think." The petite Asian woman. Jjngrui, pushed her back to sit on the couch like a sack but being careful of her pregnancy.
"So what if he goes back to his hometown? Fly there and get your man!" Mai furrowed her brows when both the ladies glared at her and she remembered the story Zara told them. That her family don't like her with Mika'il, they tried so hard to separate the two of them. Oh gosh, how cruel can this people be to lovers?
"So I thought." Jungrui rolled her eyes before bringing it back to Zara, "What are you going to do next?" She inclined her head. The girl always have something off her sleeve, always up to play the next role.
"I have no choice but to fly there now. I might not be allowed to fly in my condition, but there is no way I'm going to stay here without Mika'il. I'm going to get my husband back no matter what they do." Her eyes blazed with wickedness that rendered them both speechless. The nefariousness and malevolence in her eyes had them both blinking in surprise. They've never seen such obsession and fierceness in anyone's eyes.
"Take it easy though, anything you are going to do. You are now pregnant!" Mai touched her stomach to remind her of the life inside of her, the flesh blooming in her. It worked, she snapped out of her trance and stared at her stomach too, calming down.
"Book me a flight back to Nigeria. Legally or illegally!" She stood up and dashed to their room. Mika'il's clothes are all present except for the few he took with him for his so called 'aviation' stuff. The guy didn't know just how intelligent she is with games like this!
She is the extraordinarily capable!
"She's gone crazy." Jungrui shook her head but started making arrangements to pull out a ticket for their mad friend as soon as possible. They are not sure whether they are going to ever meet again. The case they'll be solving in Nigeria is something different, difficult and crazy! She might never come back again, war shall fall.
"When is the flight?" She came out dressed in long jacket that looks like a cloak, obsidian coloured one like her heart. She has on kitty heels that won't affect her pregnancy, huge kitty Louis Vuitton shades shrouding her eyes. She's tied her head in blue veil, to give herself colour and not allow people to suspect a thing. You never know when you will bump into another fellow Nigerian.
"In about... an hour." Mai took her car keys from the coffee table, adjust her sneakers around her legs. The airport from where they are is quite far, about thirty minutes and if they don't move now, they shan't make it there.
"Get your man!" They both kissed her, watching as she gave them a firm nod of determination and swerved around to board the flight. Her steps are filled with determination, focus and one goal in mind, get her man!
He shouldn't have ran away from her like that, she is deeply hurt!
