Chapter 17: Chapter 17
Havana's POV
At that point, I could taste my own blood in my mouth, as the atmosphere became cold. My hands and legs were shaking on their own as I stood still staring at his eyes that screamed anger.
"If you think I will just sit back and watch you ruin the name I have struggled to build over the years, then believe me I will do unspeakable things to you.
Things that you can never be able to imagine. I will do something that even you will find hard to believe that I am responsible.
So you better be a good girl, and don't drag my name in the mud" he warned me,and released me, walking away from me as if nothing had happened.
To say that I was scared is an understatement. I have never been so terrified in my entire life. He hadn't even done anything to me yet, and I had already begun to wonder if this was the same man that I got married to not too long ago.
What type of threat was that? And is he willing to go that far, just so he can punish me?.
Our conversation, no not conversation, but his threatening section was interrupted by a lady's scream. I knew that voice all too well.
I got so scared that I rushed out of the room, running towards the direction where the sound was coming from. I almost refused to believe my ears, but I had to check, just to be sure.
"Let me out of here, please! Can anyone hear me? I said let me out!!" Stephanie was screaming at the top of her lungs from one of the visitor's bedrooms not too far from ours, as she kept on banging hard on the door.
"Stephanie?" I asked, just to confirm that she was the one inside.
"Havana? Havana, is that you?" She asked while she made a clicking sound by turning the handle of the door.
She was desperate to force that door open, but her efforts were in vain. It was a metal door, and so it refused.
"Yes, it's me" I tried to force the door open from the outside but it wasn't working at all. The lock didn't even budge.
Lucian slowly walked up to me, like this wasn't an emergency.
"Maybe because it isn't one. She is locked up in a room, the room isn't on fire" he raised an eyebrow. He brought out a key from his pocket and opened the door.
Immediately Stephanie heard the door opening, she rushed out of the room and hugged me and cried at the same time.
I don't know, there was this dark aura around Lucian that made it difficult for Stephanie to be around him. She seemed to be scared of him, but I wouldn't blame her though.
Not so many people are brave enough to look Lucian in the eyes, not even me.
"Who put me in there? I…I was so scared" Stephanie cried out.
She is usually the brave one amongst the both of us, but she didn't like being locked up.
She always refused to lock the door to her room back at home, she said it made her feel captive.
And for the fact that someone locked her up for real, it was traumatic for her.
"I did, I locked you in there," Lucian told her so cold-heartedly. If I didn't know him well enough, I would say he was acting like a complete demon because only a demon would be so heartless to hurt someone like this, and not give a f*ck about the person's mental state.
Stephanie was still clinging to me when Lucian simply walked away.
"Your husband isn't a very nice person, is he?" She broke down in tears.
Struggling to catch her breath, Stephanie watched as Lucian walked away from us, not even turning back to see if we were okay or not.
"He is sometimes. Don't mind him, just go get freshened up, I will give you some new clothes, and then you will go back home, alright?" I asked her and she nodded.
She was also in a haste to leave, I think she had become terrified of Lucian, not like she liked him in the first place.
And if I was in her place, then I am sure, I would be scared too
Lucian's POV
I was busy on my laptop when Havana barged into my room.
"There is something called knocking. It would be polite if you put it into practice" I closed the laptop and turned my attention to her.
"Hearing a lecture on manners coming from you, actually makes my ear ache. You know there was no need for you to be so rude to Stephanie, especially after how you treated her" she confronted me.
At least that's what she was trying to do, but she looked more scared than a cat stuck in a tree. I mean if you are going to do something, do it right.
"And how exactly did I treat her?" I raised an eyebrow at her, patiently waiting for the ridiculous answer she was going to give me.
"You locked her in a room, that wasn't very nice" She shook her head.
"I did that for her safety. Should I have left her at the club, so that those hooligans will come for her? Should I have just taken you along with me?
Sometimes before you say something, I would advise that you think about it first, before you let it fly out of your mouth?" I put the laptop away, and stood up to talk to her since she refused to sit.
"Do you know what would have happened if that video of you was to spread on the internet?
Do you know how it is going to tarnish my image, if people find out you were at a cheap club, disgracing yourself?" I questioned her, pointing my index finger at her.
She didn't reply, as I had expected.
