CRAIG'S POV.

'What just happened? I kept asking myself. I couldn't tell if it was because of me that she fainted. I only wanted to make her jealous. I didn't mean for her to be sad, I was just..... I heard a knock on the door, and it was Sandra, what was she doing, looking at me in a seductive way, and smiling, just at the same time, Jade walked into my hotel room.

"I knew I would find you here". Jade says, while Sandra sat down on the couch, unsure of what to say to me, or how to act.

"Yes, I was waiting for you here". I replied, then I turned to Sandra and asked with a serious tone.

What are you still doing here? The conference is over, so you can go home". She looked like her eyes would shed blood, she was so sad, she etched, squint and winced all in pain, and I could see it all, but I pretended like I didn't.

"I was thinking...... She tried to say, but she got caught up in her own word, as she couldn't think of the next thing to say.

"Stop thinking Sandra, and go home". I know I sounded harsh, but I needed to, so she doesn't get any funny ideas, as soon as she was gone, Jade started laughing, I didn't bother asking him why he was laughing in such a way, because I could already tell why he was laughing, when he saw that I didn't want to ask him, he stopped laughing then said.

"You need to be careful of that Gender, you cannot be playing with that gender, else, you can consider yourself already burnt, because that gender you see right there, is fire". I raised a brow, acting like I didn't understand what he was saying.

"What happened to her? I asked him, and he shook his head.

"I don't know, I really cannot say, but I guess she was really sick. You know, at first, I thought she didn't want to come for the conference because of you, but with what happened today, I could already tell that she was really sick, and that was what she was trying to tell me. I feel so bad". He says, while I thought deeply.

"She is sick, really sick, when she looked into my eyes, hers looked pale, and I feared that she might have been pushed or stressed too much. You are going to have to give her a break. She needs a break from work". I told him and he nodded as to agree.

"Yes you are right, especially because of her performance today, I will give her a day to rest". When I heard a day, I glared, wondering if he was joking in his usual way, or if he was serious about giving her a day, when I was thinking of a week.

"What do you mean by giving her a day? I asked, getting up from my seat, while he stared as if I was asking the impossible.

"You will give Samantha a week break". It was a command, and he couldn't disagree with me, even if he wanted to. I pay half her salary, so I could take up to two weeks, if I want.

"Don't you think she will find the act suspicious, it's not like she is pregnant, so why give her that sort of time?

"She isn't pregnant, I just think she is stressed. Jade you have been stressing her too much. First she tells you that she wouldn't be able to come, you forced her to, and now, the stress is telling on her, but not to worry, after that one week break, she should be feeling better".

"But Craig, why don't you make her understand all you do for her, she might appreciate you more, if she probably knows that you are the brain behind every good thing happening to her? I shook my head to disagree with him.

"She seem to be happy with that Maxwell guy, I am okay, just watching her, that happy, the only time, I might come in, is if I feel, she isn't happy, but the fact that she is happy, I am happy too". I told him and he was dumbfounded.

Call her now, so she doesn't start planning to come to work tomorrow, tell her she has a week break, so she can plan her rest immediately". I added, and for that single moment, my heart skipped a bit, looking at him dial her number.

Put it on speak out, I want to hear everything". I said again, and he did as I have said. Each ring, she didn't take the call, my heart kept beating. Jade was looking at me, and smiling sinisterly. I could tell he has a different plan, and I already showed him my second finger after my thumb, In a warning mood, that he should not misbehave, and just when I thought she wouldn't take the call, so that she gives me enough time to tell Jade what I really want him to say, she took the call, and she sounded so weak.

"Samantha, how are you? Jade asked her, while I just stared .

"I am fine now, thanks for asking". She says, and I closed my eyes. Her voice sounds so sensual. She must already be on the bed. I was expecting Jade, to just cut to the chase and tell her about the break, but he chose to play some more with her.

"You really scared our new partner, the Apple. If not for your outstanding performance, we would have lost the contract". He says and I opened my mouth, but I couldn't speak.

"I am sorry sir, it won't happen again". She says, sounding too polite, which suddenly became annoying.

"Anyways, I am in a really happy mood, and that is why I have decided to give you a week, to relax in the house". He says, and the sleepy voice, seem to awaken, and sounding so happy, she thanked him.

"Thank you so much sir, I really appreciate it". She says, I was happy, her voice sounds different, and she happily, responded to her boss, saying she really needed it, at least, to visit the hospital, to know what is wrong with her". The call soon came to an end, and once again, the dark cloud in my heart appears again. Just hearing her voice brightened my world, and now that I couldn't hear her voice again, she have covered my heart with pain and anger. I wanted to be left alone, so in my usual way, I stared long at Jade, and shook hands with him, telling him the evening between us was over, so he could go home. Jade didn't like me sending him away, but he doesn't have a choice, he needed to leave, so that I could stay alone, thinking about my world. Jade soon got up and left, while I jumped back on the bed. Now I am going to have to get my guard to follow her, I want to know what is wrong with her, so that I will know, if the break should be extended, or she will stop working. If Maxwell cannot take care of her, then I will take care of her. That is what I have decided.
