Chapter 119: Chapter 119
Craig went back to the office and found Juliet, sitting, and staring at the image he gave her to work on. It didn't look like she had been able to do much job on it, so he decided to retrieve it from her.
The way she was sitting, is enough to let him know, that she had tried all she could, but no luck. He surely knows such feeling.
"Give it to me, there is a new app I am working on, I will be able to find the worse image to work on with that app". He says, and Juliet, knew that if she gives it to him, he might figure out that Sandra is the girl behind the image, which can make her not get what she plans to get, so she decided to delay him a little. Of her delay tactics works, she will have to destroy the image the more, so he never gets the chance to work on it, and he won't have a choice, but to give up.
"Please allow me work on it, I want to try my luck with this one". She says, and since she has never asked him anything before. As a matter of fact, she had never been bold to ask him for anything before, so since she was asking, he decided to oblige her, as a matter of fact, he wasn't going to work on the image, even if he had collected it, just that, since one was gone, he wants the other to also be fine, so that he could shock Sandra in court.
He could give Sandra all the money she could ever need in life, if she asks him nicely, but trying to play on him, was so not what he thought of her.
With Juliet not releasing the blurry image to him, he decided to go home to his family.
On his way himey, his thought was filled with what he would say to Samantha.
She must be worried, and he needs to make her feel better, however way possible.
His parents were still at his house, and surprisingly, Linda was also there. She stopped him half way, and for the first time, she looks angry with him.
"I had so much respect for you, but the way you are acting, is not what I thought of you. Your wife had a baby, and you have been busy moving about and granting interviews when she needs you around? He didn't know how to reply her, but he brushed her aside calmly, and walked into his house, and straight to the room where Samantha and their baby lay. He was not expecting to see Whitney in the room, but she was also there. It was as though she was waiting for him, for as soon as she heard his voice, she woke up from the bed and jumped on him. He stroke her hair, played with her, and just like that, the little baby also woke up, but he didn't drop Whitney to get him, he was still with her, till she asks him to get her brother.
"He only wants your mum". He tells her, but she shook her head in disagreement.
"He wants you too, he had been sleeping, but now that you are around, he wants you to touch him". She defended.
Craig carefully drop Whitney, before lifting the boy. He played with the both of them, before handing the baby to Samantha who breast fed him, while he had a long chat with Whitney. While he was chatting with his daughter, he still noticed that Samantha was looking at him, he could see her from the corners of her eyes, but he didn't look her way.
He accompanied Whitney to her room so she could sleep, on his way back, he saw Linda, then he approached her.
"I see you really want to speak to me, but next time you want to tell me something, I will advise that you speak respectfully. Only my wife, is allowed to be rude with me, only my wife is allowed to yell. No one else. I don't take it from anyone". He says, then he taps her on the shoulder before adding.
Anyways, thanks for the advise". Linda was so embarrassed, she knew she had over stepped her bounds, but she was worried for the new mother on her bed. She still thought of apologizing to him, but there was no way that would happen that night, for the moment he gets on the bed with his wife, he would not come down again. She will just have to wait for him till the next day, so she can apologize to him. She soon slept on the couch, while the laughter of Samantha could be heard around the house. She was happy to have Craig around with her.
