Craig had been really sad since he got the message from Sandra's lawyer, but he knows just how to handle the issue. The money is not the problem, his anger is that, he doesn't even remember a thing about how he got to be in the same bed with her, and the only thing that hurts him more is that, he may have cheated on the woman he loves.
He was distracted, when his phone started ringing, He didn't feel like taking the call at first, thinking it must be the same case with Sandra, especially since he saw that the caller is the DPO, but it was a different case.
The killer of Edward have been found. He heard him say, and he made a fist happily. He also needs to prove to Samantha that he had nothing to Do with the death of Edward, so he left every other thing and went to the police, to know what they have found.
His wife just had a baby, he should be with her celebrating, but he just can't, especially since he knows that, there is a hurtful case at hand.
As soon as his car drove into the correctional center premises, paparazzi's and bloggers he didn't know were there, started taking pictures of him. His every step was shot and he knows that the next day will have different caption of why he was walking into a police station, especially since there is an ongoing case with Sandra.
"Welcome sir". He was greeted from the counter, and then he was shown the way to the office of the D.P.O.
He had sent an unckear image to the DPO, hoping that they might be able to trace the killer somehow, but since he didn't hear anything about the image since then, he decided to add it.
"So the image I sent to you, were you able to find the killer? He asked, as though he didn't hear it before he started coming. The DPO nodded.
"Yes, that is why we sent for you. We are very sorry for the misunderstanding that you had anything to do with his death, we have finally found the killer, but before telling you, we will love for you to meet Joe.
He was the one that first pointed the finger at you, and just the way he did it publicly, he said he would love to apologize in public too". And just then, some known bloggers walked in and only with Craig's permission, were they allowed to take pictures of him and even ask him some questions.
Joe walked in and after sitting close to Craig, he started sincerely.
"I am sorry I accused you of being the killer of my friend. I still call him my friend, even though he fucked my wife, but I try my best, to remember only the good part of our friendship, and not the bad side. I remember when he used to stand up for me and how much I cared for him, so having a woman come in between us, was not worth it". Craig likes the fact that the world was watching this, but he really cannot wait to get to know who the killer is.
"I am not angry, I am actually happy that things like this happen. It is part of my growth. And just as this one is clearing my name, I believe that soonest, my name about the other night issue will also be cleared". Craig says, forcing the bloggers to ask him some personal questions.
"The other one you are talking about, are you saying that, you have no idea, how you ended up in bed with your personal assistant? One of the reporters asked.
"I really do not know, and that is not the most annoying part. The part that hurts me most, is the fact that I have a wife and a daughter who looks up to me, and now I feel I have let them down, which is why, I would do anything to get the memory of what happened that night, so I can fix this mess". He says.
"Are you saying Mrs Samantha is your wife? one asked.
"Yes she is. we are legally married". He replied. Not wanting to stress it further, another asked.
"We learnt she I mean miss Sandra is asking for too Much, do you think the court will work in your favour? or are you going to just give her the money of the court say you should? Another asked.
"The law is not a respecter of anyone. If the law finds me guilty, then I am willing to pay anything, but just so she knows, that I am not going down, without a fight". He says. The reporter was about to ask him more questions, when he stopped him, cutting to the chase
"Now to the big question. Who killed Edward? He asked and then they shown him an image, showing the face of Joan, he stared confusingly at them, but they didn't stop there, the door opened, and she was brought in. She joined her hands together and started apologizing, but it was pointless. Craig only stared at her, before he got up from the seat.
Shook hands with everyone present, then walked away. Showing the typical boss character.
To Craig, one case was gone, he didn't need to call Samantha to ask if she saw the news, he knows she did, what he needs to know now is what is wrong with him.
He went straight to the hospital. He needs to know what happened to him, and how he lost a part, of his memory that night.
