"What did you say?" Liam asked while taking a step back. His voice was calm. To calm to be exact. Celeste didn’t look at his instead she focused her gaze at the floor. Liam carefully looked at her, hoping he heard her wrong. But looking at her face, his heart clenched. He didn’t hear her wrong. Her face looked determined. She wasn’t joking. She actually dared to say that.

"You heard me, Liam. I want an abortion. I don't want to keep this child." Celeste said while getting up from where she was sitting. Her face was blank. Her voice was soft yet determined. Liam kept looking at her, trying to read her emotion. At that moment he wanted to tear open his head and see what was going inside her head. What was she thinking? The doctor who was standing at a corner till now, hurried made his way out of the room, giving the couple their very much needed privacy.

"You don't mean that." Liam whispered looking at Celeste. She couldn’t possibly mean what she said. His Celeste couldn’t say that. His Celeste would never utter the word abortion. She would never dare to say that she wanted to kill their child.

"I mean every word I said." Celeste said firmly, looking at Liam.

"You don't mean that." Liam again said while taking a step towards Celeste. He reached her and took her face in his both palms. He slowly raised her face to look directly at his eyes.

"Are you mad at me? You should be. I know I have hurt you before and you have every right to be angry at me. But Celeste, baby please don't say something like this again. This is our child. This is your child. I know you were not prepared for this sudden pregnancy, but we can sort this out. I promise I will take really good care of both of you. I won't let you down this time but please don't say something like this again." Liam said in a very gentle voice. His touch on Celeste's face was also very gentle. For a moment, Celeste felt her breath hitch when he was looking at her with eyes full of pain but soon she composed herself and looked away from him. She slowly removed his hands from her face and took a step back.

"I'm being serious Liam. I don't want this baby." Celeste said stubbornly. This time Liam's expression turned cold as she glared at Celeste. His eyes turned stormy as he looked at Celeste with anger. Celeste could see him clenching his fists into a tight grip while clenching his jaw. He was trying not to get angry at her.

"You don't know what you are saying. You are just overwhelmed with this sudden news. It will get better soon." Liam said. His voice was still gentle but Celeste could feel the anger behind them. She knew him too well.

"I know what I'm saying. This is my uterus and I have the right to decide for myself. You don't need to put words together for myself. I already told you before and I'm again telling you. I don't want this child. I want to have an abortion." Celeste said. Her voice was loud and clear. She didn’t hesitate a bit to utter those words. Hearing her words, Liam looked at her in disbelief. She couldn’t be the same Celeste he knew back then. This woman had changed so much in a matter of a few hours that he couldn’t even recognise her.

"You are not fucking killing my child, Celeste. You are not. Whether you like it or not, you are giving birth to my child and that's fucking final." Liam shouted angrily while glaring at Celeste. He would die before he let anyone kill his child. That child was innocent. She might be mad at him but that didn’t give her the right to kill their innocent child who had yet to see the light of this world.

"You can't force me Liam. This is my body and I have the right to make a decision for myself. You can't force me to have a child when I fucking don't want to." Celeste also shouted while glaring back at him. She didn’t cower nor back down. This was the first time she had shouted and argued back at him. Liam looked at her with a surprised expression. She had never shouted nor argued with him before. Whenever they had any disagreement or fight in the past she would just listen to him silently and obediently.

"What's wrong with you, Celeste? Do you even realise what you are saying? You weren’t like this before." Liam said in a tired voice. He couldn’t just argue with her like that. It was a serious issue.

"Well people change and don't pretend like you know me well Liam cause we both know that's not true." Celeste said with a shrug while looking away. Liam looked at Celeste for a while before sighing. It's useless to argue with her like that. She was not being herself and he knew taking to her that time would lead to more arguments and he absolutely hated arguing.

"Well, I'm done being nice. Let's have it in my way." Liam said in a deep voice making Celeste look at him with a frown.

"What do you mean?" Celeste asked as she noticed him making his way towards her. He didn’t reply to her instead before she could react he picked her up in his arms in a bridal style and made his way out of the emergency room.

"What are you doing? Put me down." Celeste let out a squeak before shouting. She couldn’t help but wrap her arms around his neck in the fear of falling down. Liam didn’t look bothered by her shouting as he kept walking towards the exit.

"Liam Rodriguez! What are you doing? Put me down now! You can't do this with me! This is kidnapping. Help! Help!" Celeste kept shouting. Bit unfortunate for her Liam didn’t even look at her as he kept walking with a straight face. Few passersby looked in their direction with curiosity but none of them came forward to help her.

How could people be so cruel and selfish. That man was kidnapping her and they were watching that with smiles!

Celeste pouted and decided to keep quiet after a while. Liam didn’t put her down until they reached his car. Without any further talk, he put her in the car and locked the door so she could not run away from the car. He then went to the other side of the car and got in the driver's seat before starting the car.

"Liam! You can't do this with me! This is kidnapping. What do you think people would think knowing Liam Rodriguez kidnapped his ex wife? You have an image to protect." Celeste tried to blackmail him.

"No I don't and I don't care what people would think. Now shut up and sleep. You have given me enough headache in a day. I will wake you up when we reach home." Liam scolded Celeste with an annoyed expression making Celeste instantly shut up. Celeste didn’t know why, watching his annoyed expression and getting scolded by him like a child made her feel so bad that she couldn’t help crying.

"Why are you crying?" Liam asked dumbfounded.

"Why would you scold me like that?" Celeste asked back while sobbing and wiping her eyes at the same time. Liam sighed.

"I'm sorry. Please don't cry." Liam said. That time his voice was much more gentle than before.

"Whatever. I don’t care." Celeste said, still wiping her tears while looking towards the window of the car. Liam glanced at her and couldn’t help but smile. How could she turn into a child from a determined woman who wanted to have an abortion, in just a few moments?!
