After walking through the long corridor Celeste finally reached the room which she had long used as hers. She slowly pushed open the door and made her way inside the room and pushed open the door. She slowly entered the room and closed the door behind her back.

It wasn’t Liam's room but it was the room she stayed in when she had first come into this house two years ago to be Liam Rodriguez's bride.

Contract bride to be exact. Celeste roamed her eyes through the familiar furniture and decoration.

Two years ago she came here to be Liam's wife and this time she again came but as his ex wife.

How ironic!

Celeste heaved a sigh and shook her head to get rid of the unwanted thoughts. She was really tired and she didn’t want to remember those old memories which will give her nothing but pain.

Getting a control over her emotion, Celeste decided to take a nap before the dinner time arrived. She was really tired because of the long journey. Besides, recently she started to get tired very easily.

Celeste went to get freshen up first before heading on the bed. She came out of the washroom after freshening up and went directly to the bed to take a quick nap.

When Celeste woke up, it was already dinner time. She again went to the washroom and freshened up before changing into a pair of comfortable clothes. When she came out of the washroom, she found Clarissa sitting on the bed, waiting for her.

"Mom?" She called out. Clarissa looked up at her and smiled before getting up from the bed.

"Oh Celeste, I came to pick you up. The dinner is ready. Let's go dear!" Clarissa said. Celeste nodded at her.

"Ok but you could have sent someone else instead of coming by yourself." Celeste said in a soft voice after putting the towel away.

"Of course not. I got to see my daughter after so long, so I couldn't possibly send anyone else except me." Clarissa replied while caressing Celeste's hair softly.

"Mom!" Celeste said softly before hugging Clarissa. Clarissa hugged her back and heaved a deep sigh.

"I'm sorry!" Celeste whispered as her eyes got wet. Clarissa shook her head.

"It's not your fault. My soon is so stupid to let go of a gem like you." Clarissa said with a sad smile.

"It's alright. It's not his fault either. It's just we weren’t meant to be." Celeste said with a sad smile as she looked at the floor while trying to hold her tears back.

"No. He should have been with you but he left when you needed him the most. I can't possibly ignore his mistake just because he is my soon. I don't know how you must have felt at that time. We weren’t there for you. I'm sorry. Please forgive us. We have wronged you and Marielle. She must be so disappointed in us. We promised her that we will take care of you but we failed her. We failed you too. I'm sorry dear! Please forgive us. We weren’t there for you when you needed us the most. I'm sorry. Trust me, I felt terrible when I heard the news. We were so sad. Andrew and I tried to contact you but we couldn’t. You have completely cut us off from your life and It's our fault. I'm sorry. Please forgive us." Clarissa said while holding Celeste's both hands in hers. She completely broke down as she sobbed. Celeste let go of Clarissa's hands and hugged her tightly.

"No mom! What are you saying? It's not your fault. It's not Liam's either. It was just my fate. I don't blame any of you nor My grandma does. Please don't say anything like this. Please!" Celeste said as she also started to sob while hugging Clarissa. She felt terrible when Clarissa blamed herself and her family. It wasn’t their fault. It was her fate and she had long accepted it. She didn’t blame anyone. Liam wasn’t at fault either. She would be selfish if she blamed him. He was clear about his side from the beginning and most of all none of them knew what was going to happen. So how could she blame them?

"I'm sorry dear! Please don't cry. Calm down." Carissa said while getting a grip on herself. She let Celeste cry for a while. She had been strong for too long.

"Everyone's waiting for us, Let's go." Celeste said after she was done crying and wiping her eyes. Clarissa looked at her for a moment and wondered if she was the same girl who had been crying in her arms for so long?

How could someone be so strong at the most vulnerable time of their life?

It was only possible by Celeste.

"Yes. I just want to say one thing. Please don't cut us off from your life again. You might not be my daughter in law anymore but you will always be my daughter. My son might be stupid to let go of you but we are not. I hope he realises his mistake soon." Clarissa said while caressing Celeste's cheek. Celeste didn’t say anything. She just looked down at the floor and nodded her head. Clarissa sighed and smiled sadly. She didn’t know what had happened to his happy family but she prayed to God that it would soon go back to how it was before.

Clarissa and Celeste entered the dining room. Everyone was already present except Liam. Celeste felt like it was similar to the day she had first come into this house and had dinner with everyone. Everyone else was also present that day except Liam.

Celeste shook her head and smiled at everyone before taking a seat opposite to Amelia. She smiled at Celeste and Celeste smiled back.

"Where's Ronin?" Celeste asked.

"He's sleeping." Amelia replied. Celeste nodded and then looked at Rafael who was sitting there quietly. He looked calm and collected. Celeste wanted to talk to him but kept mum thinking it was better to give him some time to adjust.

"Celeste dear, Did you rest well?" Andrew asked in a caring voice. Celeste looked at him and smiled before nodding.

"Yes dad. I did." She replied and Andrew nodded.

"Where's Liam?" Andrew asked, looking towards Clarissa.

"He just came back a while ago and is getting freshened up. He will be here in a minute." Clarissa said while taking a seat beside Andrew. Two helpers started to serve the dishes to everyone. Celeste slowly started to eat her food while listening to Clarissa's words. She was also wondering a while ago where he was.

"Sorry. I'm late." A deep husky voice rang in the whole room making Celeste froze. She instantly turned around and her blue eyes locked with his smokey grey ones making her world upside down. She felt as if time had reversed back and took her back to two years ago. Everything seemed the same yet she knew how different it was from the day of the past.
