Chapter 92: Chapter 92
Wyatt's lips curved slightly, and his expression softened. Although he didn't say anything, I knew he was overjoyed by what I just said. He leaned forward to plant a deep kiss on my lips.
"Hubby." I beamed at Wyatt, feeling my sad mood reside.
Upon recalling the conversation between Wyatt and Oswald, I tilted my head curiously, wanting to know what could've inclined Oswald to make such a statement about Wyatt, despite the fact that it's perfectly obvious that Wyatt doesn't like Lorelei a bit. "What's with Lorelei, hubby?" I inquired while blinking my eyes cutely.
Wyatt isn't the type to speak much, and I'm afraid that he won't want to reply to this either, so I blinked my eyes cutely so he could change his mind.
Immediately, Wyatt's eyes darkened, and his expression changed into one of hatred. "She claimed to be my mate." He simply expressed.
My lips parted in gasps. "Huh?" Soon, anger blew up in me.
That bitch wanted Oswald and Wyatt at the same time? How dare she claim to be my Wyatt's mate? I've never seen a worse match before. She's not worthy of my Wyatt. Not at all.
Wyatt is mine, no other. My hands hooked around his neck and tightened unconsciously in possessiveness.
Wyatt's lips curled at my act, but he soon sneered in disdain, "The moon goddess isn't foolish; she can't pair us together." He firmly proclaimed.
Although I thought I hated Lorelei, compared to Wyatt, it's little. I wonder what Lorelei must have done to infuriate him. Although Wyatt is strict, he's very easygoing. "Oh." I couldn't help but nod my head in agreement. Lorelei and Wyatt can't be together!
"The next day, I heard she'd be getting together with Oswald as his partner," he finalized, and I couldn't help but realize how shameless Lorelei was. She wanted the two for her command. Such a bitch!
Immediately, it clicked. Oswald thought Wyatt was with me because Wyatt was unhappy that Lorelei got together with Oswald, so he thought Wyatt was avenging himself by using me.
I snorted at the thought. Two bad people are perfectly made for each other. How won't he think everyone is like himself?
My heart pang with pain immediately. I bit my lower lip and took a deep breath to calm myself. Stupid heart; he's not worth it a bit. But wait? When is he going to break the mate bond? We can't keep being like this.
I shook my head and scoffed deridingly. "Lorelei is a devil, and he's not a good person either. They're both perfect fits." I mumbled
Wyatt chuckled and poked my nose. "Oswald is good, but he has responsibilities…"
I smiled and pulled Wyatt's cheeks due to his honesty.
Oswald had just come here to plant misunderstandings between Wyatt and me, yet he was still speaking up for Oswald. "He's your competitor." I reminded him with a grin.
"There's nothing to compete. I trust you won't leave me." He proclaimed indifferently, and I couldn't help but smile warmly.
How can Wyatt be so sweet, cute, hot, and impeccable at the same time? He's really the best thing. "You're right." I nodded amid giggling.
"Let's leave?"
"Hm." I wrapped my hands around Wyatt's neck in agreement, and he sped out of the cottage.
In a few seconds, Wyatt carefully stopped in front of the school.
I couldn't help but sigh in envy. His running skills are so good that I wonder how much he trained to be this perfect.
Wyatt carefully and neatly dropped me on my feet.
I pouted at him while massaging my still-aching waist. "No hesitation?" I confirmed once more. Such a strict husband! He should've let me rest at home after tossing me about for two weeks.
"No," he replied curtly.
Hmph! I harrumphed at him immediately. "Wicked." I scolded and jabbed my finger at his chest before turning to leave in my limp stance.
Suddenly, two hands wrapped around my waist, and the person buried his face in my shoulder, hugging me from behind. A familiar scent drifted into my nose immediately, and I couldn't help but smile.
Wyatt planted a kiss on my nape before gently blowing warm air into my right ear. I couldn't help but rub my ear.
"I'll take you out on a date during the weekend." He conveyed seriously.
"Really?" My eyes lit up immediately, and I turned to him.
"It must be some distance away, okay?" Except to visit the school, the forest, Wyatt's place, the restaurant, and Luna Lena's place, I haven't explored the pack, not to mention taking a step out of the pack.
Thinking about it, I wonder if Rex will fulfill his promise. I doubt he'll after knowing what happened between Wyatt and me.
Who knows if Rex already knows about it? After all, his spies are deeply rooted in the power axis pack. I felt my happy mood deplete a bit.
"Hm." He diligently nodded and then patted my head.
I felt sweetness radiate through me. I squinted my eyes and pointed to him seriously. "You. You can't renege." I warned him, even though I knew he wasn't the type to break his promises.
"Ehn, I…"
"Oh my. Oh my." A dramatic cry suddenly befell the environment.
I separated from Wyatt and turned to see Arya, feigning tears while softly wiping her face with a pink handkerchief.
"To think I wasn't even seen all along. When they were single, they never ignored my presence. But now… All these couples. Where's my mate, moon goddess?" Arya 'bawled' and stared into the sky dramatically. I couldn't help but smile. I really missed her childish antics.
"Now My Maia is officially my sister-in-law." Arya beamed and ran toward me happily. She engulfed me in a tight hug, and I couldn't help but get infected by her smile.
"Congratulations, Maia," Arya whispered in my ear, and I couldn't help but pat her back in response.
It was after a minute or two that Arya separated from me. She grinned and gave Wyatt a thumbs-up.
"Wyatt Hayes, you did well. Really. Really well, I'm so proud of you." She praised while smiling happily.
"Sister-in-law." Arya grinned and stretched toward me to engulf me in a hug, but Wyatt pulled me into his embrace before she could, his whole pheromone leaking possessiveness.
"Betrayer. Childish!" Arya snorted and glared at him before walking toward him. She huffed and pointed at him unhappily. "You're lucky I don't have a favorite male friend. I'll have…" Arya paused in fluster upon being coldly glared at by Wyatt.
Wyatt ignored Arya and patted my head. "I'm leaving. Study well."
"Okay, you can leave. Bye." I waved my hand.
Wyatt's expression changed, and he bit my lower lip in response.
I pouted and huffed at him before I obediently called him hubby through our mind-link. He licked my lower lip immediately as if to coax me.
"Will miss you." He whispered next to my ear.
"Will miss you also. Don't work too hard, okay? Eat well and sleep well." I conveyed and kissed his cheeks and then turned to leave.
However, before I could take a step, he grabbed my hand and stared at me meaningfully.
I couldn't help but chuckle at how handsome and eager he looked. "Bye, hubby." I grinned at him, and he waved.
I turned toward Arya. Arya gave a stinky eye to Wyatt. Wyatt's lips curved slightly, and he turned to leave.
I held my aching waist and limped toward Arya, pouting. Everywhere hurts, but Wyatt won't let me take a break. Ugh!
Arya's jaw dropped in bewilderment. "Woah, really?" Her lips parted, and she eyed my hand, rubbing my waist in surprise.
'If it wasn't her cousin.' I puffed my cheeks and huffed. "Doing it for two weeks," I revealed honestly.
That lustful man! Despite knowing I was going over to school this morning, he still had the mind to toss me.
Arya's lips parted, and she suddenly grinned mischievously. "Woah, my big brother had huge stamina." She praised.
Upon recalling what Arya did, my expression changed to a cold one. I parted my lips and coldly called, "Arya."
Arya's grin disappeared, and she looked at me in beware. "Huh?"
I squinted my eyes while rubbing my waist. "How can you scheme at me?" I accused unhappily. To think she knew where the pills were but didn't say a thing?
Arya's calm expression broke, and her eyes darted about nervously. "What. What are you talking about? I knew nothing." She stuttered and evaded my gaze.
I smirked wickedly and straightened my back while trying not to wince. "You knew perfectly well." I snorted at her. "So as a payback, I'm not owing you a meal." I retorted in a feigned firm tone.
Arya grabbed my hand and pouted. "No way, sister-in-law. Do you want me to die? If you don't let me eat, I'll die." She joked and came forward to support me.
"Die? I was just kidding. I'm not annoyed." I conveyed.
Arya heaved a dramatic sigh of relief and patted her chest. "I was afraid that you'd tear me apart." She muttered, and I snorted. Arya is stronger than me; how can I tear her apart?
Arya fell silent and began to head toward my class while supporting me. "It's just that when I saw that claim bite on your neck, I was afraid that you'd become someone else instead of my brother's." She expressed in a thin tone.
I lowered my head, understanding that Arya was talking about the temporary mark Rex had given me.
Recalling the temporary mark, my hand fell toward the side where Rex had made his claim, and I found it free of a claim bite. I couldn't help but sigh.
"I understand." I bit my lower lip and fell silent.
Arya fell silent and didn't bother to say anything until she helped me sit down in my assigned seat. "Thank you, bye." I appreciated and she sent me air kisses. I couldn't help but chuckle.
Suddenly, a searing gaze pinned on me. I smirked wickedly and turned to face Lorelei. Upon seeing her twisted expression, I began to recall what Wyatt said about her, and I almost laughed loudly.
Perhaps she's sent to snatch my mate, huh? Oswald at first. She even wanted Wyatt. In her dream. He's mine. My hubby.
PA!
The sudden noise and downpour of confetti snapped me out of my daze.
