Chapter 81: Chapter 81

"Good morning. Did you miss me? I'm sure you did!" The cheerful voice of Arya, coupled with her opening the door to my room, woke me up from sleep.

I opened my eyes drowsily, stunned for a few seconds. Has time ticked that fast?

Wyatt and I continued to watch the series late into the night, and if it were left to me, I would've continued watching the series.

However, Wyatt had made me eat dinner before sending me upstairs strictly, unbothered about my vivid reluctance, but still, I didn't expect to sleep this late.

I took a glimpse at the wall, and I discovered that it was twenty-one minutes after four o'clock.

I heaved a sigh and rubbed my eyes gingerly, so it wasn't that I slept late; rather, Arya had been an exceptionally early bird. How come she arrived at dawn?

I yawned and naturally went deeper into the bed in case Arya planned to sleep on it, which Arya did.

Arya immediately took off her shoes and got onto the bed while smiling. Since the blanket was a big one, it was big enough to drape five people sufficiently, not to mention Arya and me alone.

"You're early?" I mentioned with half-lidded eyes.

Arya nodded and reached out to hug me. I froze at the sudden action.

Arya retracted her hand and touched her nose awkwardly. She lowered her head and pouted cutely. "I like to cuddle. I have a large teddy at home." She explained in a remorseful, low tone.

"Oh." I nodded and fell silent. I haven't noticed that Arya likes cuddling.

To be truthful, I haven't been paying attention to Arya's sleeping habits since most of the time she's on her phone. "Sorry." I apologized.

Even though I didn't want to, my body still rejects body contact. I guess it's not easy to let go of things from the past.

"No. No." Arya waved her hand. She suddenly heaved heavily. "I was so eager for Sunday that I couldn't sleep, so I decided to come over directly." She explained, using the medium to change the subject.

I couldn't help but chuckle at Arya's explanation. How excited must she be that she left home at four o'clock?

"Big excitement. It's four." I commented and took a glance at the watch.

"I can't help it." Arya shrugged and yawned sleepily. I nodded and closed my eyes sleepily.

I woke up to see Arya's hands wrapped around my waist. I pursed my lips in amusement while thinking that she was clingy; she really likes to cuddle while sleeping.

I wonder if it was the same thing with Wyatt, but recalling how Wyatt also cuddled me yesterday, I couldn't help but think that he's the same.

I sighed while thinking of what to do with Wyatt. Even if I wanted to deny it, I knew Wyatt had feelings for me.

I bit my lower lip. I also have feelings for Wyatt. However, it's obvious that things won't work out between us; there's my identity lie, which Wyatt mustn't know about; there's Rex; and there's also that jerk Oswald who doesn't know what he wants.

I took a deep breath, shook my head, and tried to push the thoughts away. It's too early to be depressed.

I carefully removed Arya's hands that were wrapped around me, being extremely careful not to rouse her from sleep.

I took a look at the clock, and it was ten minutes before six. Immediately, I strode into the bathroom to take a bath.

Since it was still early, I decided to have a morning jog and basic workout.

Although I'm on holiday, Rex will be infuriated if he discovers that my skills and strength have worsened; he'll definitely go harder on me.

After putting on a workout outfit and doing the necessaries, I carefully jogged down the stairs while trying to make my footsteps as quiet as possible.

I paused in my tracks upon seeing Wyatt stride into the mansion with his workout t-shirt on his body, glistening sweat trickling down his skin.

My face flushed and grew hot immediately. I couldn't help but remember how lovely and rock-hard Wyatt's skin felt when I touched it back then. It gave me the urge to... I quickly shake my head like a rattling drum to snap out of my thoughts.

I can't think like this. No. No. I took a deep breath to calm my chaotic thoughts. However, I can't deny that Wyatt is a walking temptation, especially when he's being like this.

I bowed my head to hide my flustered expression. "Good morning, Beta Wyatt." I tried to greet him in a calm voice, but my voice ended up shaky.

"Beta?" Wyatt chuckled immediately. His footsteps suddenly began to approach closer, and his masculine sandalwood scent grew thicker with every step he took toward me.

I took a gulp; my face grew hot, and my legs turned weak.

Although I wanted to escape badly from Wyatt's blatant teasing, I also wanted to stay and watch what he'd do to me.

"Exercise?" His deep, husky voice suddenly sounded.

Although Wyatt only said a word, I felt myself turn into a puddle due to the pleasure that ran through my spine.

My mouth turned dry, and my lips quivered. I couldn't help feeling that only this man could quench my thirst.

I shook my head. I can't think like this. I can't. I gritted my teeth. Wyatt must be purposely teasing me.

Upon thinking like this, I quickly nodded my head to express my agreement.

"Shy?" Wyatt stopped in front of me; he lowered his head and blew hot air into my right ear, causing goosebumps to fill my skin.

I jumped in shock and puffed my cheeks angrily. How could he tease me so much?

Since the beginning, I knew he was purposely doing it. I huffed and ran out of the mansion, not missing his silvery laugh.

I paused in my tracks in regret. How could I miss seeing his smiling face? Seeing Wyatt's smile is very rare!

It was after an hour that I returned to the mansion, and by that time, Wyatt had left for work.

After eating breakfast, I spent the day watching Rock Creek High with Arya. It turns out that Arya also loved the series.

30 minutes after we had our lunch, I decided to go to the pack market after I'd written down all the ingredients and items I needed for tomorrow.

Since I'm preparing different meals, I don't have everything I need in Wyatt's kitchen. By going to the market myself, I can stock up on things and also choose the brands I'm familiar with.

"Arya, it's time." I reluctantly stood up from the sofa after watching another episode of the series.

Arya's eyes lit up, and she quickly stood up and said, "Yay. Leave with you." She happily announced and took hold of my hand.

Immediately, we made our way toward the door to leave the mansion. I stopped in my tracks and eyed Wyatt, who was leaning against his car with his car keys in his hand. Isn't he in the office? How's he here?

Upon seeing Wyatt, a thought suddenly overtook my mind. "Wyatt, you're going?" I blinked in curiosity, and he nodded in agreement.

My lips parted slightly. Wyatt left for work just to accompany us to the market. Incredible! This is something that I hadn't expected, but how many more will he shock me with?

My eyes darted toward Wyatt's conspicuous car, and I couldn't help but look into the sky in disbelief. Is Wyatt driving the car to the market? For real?

"With that car?" I eyed Wyatt and the car he leaned on.

Wyatt stood straight and threw the car keys toward a guard, who immediately caught them. "We can change it if you want," Wyatt replied, and he immediately left for the car park without waiting for my reply. Immediately, I knew he wanted to choose another car. I hope it's a low-key one this time.

"You guys are so unfair. I'm a teacher and a doctor; two different useful things to you; why is Wyatt getting preferential treatment, but I'm not?" Asher suddenly cried out dramatically. His face was downcast, and he clutched his chest dramatically, his whole body trembling sadly.

My lips twitched in bewilderment. How did Asher know anyway? I took a deep breath and calmly asked in return, "What do you like?" Asher was right; I shouldn't have excluded him in the first place.

Immediately, Asher beamed and wrapped his hand around my shoulder. "I know my students will never ignore me. Hehehe, I have lists." He responded and quickly sent pictures to me.

Without taking a look at the pictures Asher sent, I eyed him knowingly and said, "You're also coming along?"

Asher separated from me and made a pose like a model shooting for a magazine. He flashed me a wild grin and winked at me. "What do you think? The most handsome man in the pack is accompanying you to the market. How lucky! I'm only doing this for you." He expressed in a dramatic voice.

I snorted and clicked my tongue. "It's just a market. Why are two men coming with me anyway?"

Asher flashed me a grin. "Because I'm bored."
