Chapter 80: Chapter 80

"Where's my sweet wolf? It's definitely not this stinky wolf that's tearing me apart. Oh no, I miss my pretty and sweet Maia, who cares for me and comforts me. My Maia also stood by me no matter the type of danger lurking by, different from this stinky little wolf that had been talking to me." I cried out pitifully, using my mind-link.

Maia scoffed. "You're being dramatic now. Better get ready before Wyatt thinks you're not coming down because you find him scary." She chided in a gentle tone.

I sat up immediately. I couldn't believe that I'd forgotten the important things to do.

"Yes, right? Aw. My sweet Maia is back. Maia, whenever that devilish Maia is there, please alert me before I get high blood pressure due to shock." I playfully warned and got off the bed. I began to make my way out of the room.

Maia snorted at my words, but she suddenly smiled. "I'm glad. Filippa, you're changing. You're becoming bubbly again. I hope it'll be permanent this time, and we'll really recover permanently."

I fell silent and pondered Maia's words. I couldn't help but agree with Maia's words.

I'm changing faster than I thought I would. I now have food to eat, a place to live, close people around me, and someone who always puts me first.

Overall, my state has changed ever since I was saved. It felt as if I had been given a new life ever since he saved me.

And it was all thanks to that youth that's currently sitting on a black sofa, with deep black eyes staring at me.

I felt emotional at the thought, and it made me bow to him silently. "Thank you so much. I…"

Before I could complete my words, Wyatt stood up and approached me. He grabbed me by the waist and planted a deep kiss on my lips.

"Next time you say thank you to me..." Wyatt separated from me and eyed me from head to toe with a meaningful gaze, causing shivers to run down my spine. Although Wyatt didn't complete his words, I was petrified by his cold gaze and tone.

I wrapped my hand around my chest fearfully.

Wyatt smirked and separated from me without saying anything further. He sat on the sofa and patted the space next to him. "Come over to sit." He commanded.

I nodded stiffly and trudged toward Wyatt, exceptionally feeling his hot and burning gaze. It felt as if I were an important treasure to Wyatt.

I took a deep breath and sat next to Wyatt.

Next to Wyatt was a glass table that had a platter filled with different chocolate bars, cookies, lollipops, sweets, etc. It had a list of snacks I love eating and many snacks I had never seen before.

Upon seeing the things I've been missing for years, my eyes lit up with joy. Without thinking, I joyfully reached out to grab one of the strawberry bars. "This is my favorite."

I paused and dropped the bar, my face flushing with embarrassment upon recalling the presence of the man next to me.

Wyatt's lips curved slightly. He picked up the strawberry bar and stuffed it into my hand. "They all belonged to you." He instructed.

I nodded with a smile and almost said thank you to him, but upon recalling Wyatt's warning, I smacked my lips together and bit down on my words. "I'll eat it."

Wyatt's eyes softened, and he turned to me. "Any movies you want to watch..."

"Rock Creek High." I blurted out impulsively.

I sighed upon recalling the comedy series. I was watching the third episode of that series when I got thrown into different situations by Henry. I can't help but miss that high school series for teenagers.

"Let's watch," Wyatt uttered and he grabbed a neatly folded white blanket that was placed next to him.

My jaw dropped in shock. I turned to Wyatt and pointed at myself before pointing to him. "Me and you?" I couldn't believe that somebody like Wyatt could watch such a movie with me! Did he know that Rock Creek High is a comedy-romance series?

Wyatt's brows furrowed slightly. "You'd rather watch it yourself?" He asked.

I don't need a prophecy to tell me that Wyatt will leave if I reject him.

I shook my head like a rattling drum. Since Wyatt is interested in watching the movie with me, why would I stop him? Moreover, this is his mansion! "No, having company is good. I don't mind."

Wyatt smiled and stretched his arms out.

Before I could blink, Wyatt's hand wrapped around my waist; in less than a second, I was made to sit on Wyatt's lap.

Wyatt's strong hand wrapped around me, and he cuddled me tightly.

My hand fell on Wyatt's chest in shock.

Quickly, I tried to get off his lap, but his strong hand that wrapped around me didn't let me go. "Wyatt."

Wyatt's expression fell, and his eyes lowered; at that moment, he appeared vulnerable, making my heart ache on his behalf. “Just once, ok? Please.” Wyatt pleaded; his voice surprisingly sounded weak, vulnerable, and helpless.

My heart panged immediately. This person, who had always been strong, had actually been keeping his pain to himself. Wyatt had been the reason for my current happiness; how could I push him away?

My hands that were on Wyatt's hand fell next to my side. I looked up at Wyatt worriedly. "Wyatt, is everything fine?" I softly inquired.

Wyatt's eyes directly stared into mine. There were a lot of emotions in his eyes, but I found the emotions indecipherable no matter how I tried to read them.

Wyatt raised his hands and cupped my cheeks. “Can you not leave?” He slowly asked. His eyes were filled with persuasion, yet confusion and some other emotions that I couldn't decipher.

Wyatt doesn't want me to leave. “Huh?” I tilted my head, hoping for more explanation.

"Never mind!" Wyatt brushed me off in a calm tone. His vulnerable expression had disappeared, and his cold facade had donned his face again, giving me the illusion that I was the one seeing things.

“I…"

Wyatt's eyes turned glazed, and they fell on my hands meaningfully, interrupting my words.

I smacked my lips together, swallowed my words, and hooked my hands around Wyatt's neck just as his gaze expressed.

Wyatt's eyes twinkled with joy, and he covered us with the blanket immediately, his strong hands wrapped around my waist.

My head lay on Wyatt's chest, giving me a chance to listen to his powerful heartbeat. I felt a calmness wash over me immediately, and I snuggled properly into his embrace.

The television lit up, and the series began to play.

I sighed and couldn't help but agree that being in Wyatt's hands is perfect!
