Chapter 76: Chapter 76
"Wyatt." I tried to whisper in a calm tone, but his cold gaze that bore into me sent shivers down my spine and made my voice shaky.
I bit my lower lip and quickly stood up. I subtly took a glimpse at his face before looking away quickly due to nervousness.
I fiddled with my fingers and gazed in another direction in nervousness due to feeling the cold pressure that exuded from Wyatt's whole being.
My mind began to spurn a variety of thoughts. Why is Wyatt here? Is he here to get me? But is that possible…
"You won't come home if I don't get you, will you?" Wyatt stopped right in front of me and towered over me. His voice was chilling and condensing to the bone, and there was an authoritative and domineering pressure oozing out of him.
I was stunned! Wyatt's arrival was really intended for me.
Immediately, my eyes darted around guiltily. After all, Wyatt was right.
Just as I did last week, I have no intention of returning to his mansion. I paused my lips and lowered my head.
Isn't it Wyatt's fault for confusing me and making me unable to know what to do? I bit my lower lip and tried to explain, "I..."
Wyatt's hand fell on my lips; slowly, his index finger pulled out my 'assaulted' lower lip that was in between my teeth. "Practicing with him?" His hand fell next to him, and he calmly asked.
Upon hearing the leeway in Wyatt's sentence, I quickly nodded my head in agreement. After all, even though I'm on holiday, I'm still practicing with Rex.
I nodded stiffly and stared at my feet. "En, still practicing with..."
"Ouch!" My hands flew to my forehead, and I cried out in pain upon being flicked by Wyatt on the forehead.
"You're on a holiday." Wyatt calmly interrupted before I could say a word.
Immediately, my face reddened in embarrassment. I didn't expect Wyatt to know that I was lying. Why did he give me hope in the first place? I pursed my lips grudgingly.
However, I still have to meet Rex, so it's not really a lie.
Thinking about it now, I could use the opportunity of staying at Wyatt's place to cook meals for Rex. Why didn't I think of these before?
It can't be that the school kitchen staff will lend me their kitchen, will they? That's not possible! They didn't even like me in the first place! "On Sunday, I have to meet Rex…"
"It's fine; you can leave from my mansion." Wyatt interrupted coldly.
I could see that he thought I was making excuses not to leave, but I was not. I let out a distressed sigh and ruffled my hair. Why are things so messy and confusing?
Suddenly, Wyatt's expression turned colder. My mouth turned dry, and I shivered due to fear.
Suddenly, Wyatt took a menacing step toward me, and his sandalwood scent invaded my nose strongly. His eyes narrowed wickedly, and it made me shiver fearfully. It felt as if I were the prey while Wyatt was the predator.
I gulped, quickly took a step back in fear, and looked away.
I took a deep breath and tried to stay calm. Why am I losing my calm? Get a grip! Wyatt won't do anything.
No matter what I did, I was unable to calm myself down.
I couldn't deny it; it's how much I loved this person that I feared him.
Compared to Oswald the Alpha, the one whom I found mysterious and most fearful of is undoubtedly Wyatt. And getting in his bad shoes is the worst thing I don't wish to let happen.
"Wyatt. Stop over. Let's talk. Don't come over." I expressed in stuttering yells.
However, Wyatt fell silent and continued to approach me while I took steps back due to nervousness.
I gasped slightly when my back suddenly hit a wall.
Seeing that I had no chance to escape, I blinked and stared at Wyatt with a fawning smile. I began to placate softly, "However, I might have offended you. Please, it's this princess's mistake. Be magnanimous and let me go."
Wyatt's right hand was suddenly placed on the wall next to me, and I stiffened due to nervousness.
Wyatt's face lowered until our noses almost brushed each other's. I gulped down at the close contact and darted my eyes around to avoid looking into Wyatt's perfect eyes, which were brighter than anything I had ever seen despite being cold. His masculine scent softly stirred my nose, making my legs weak. "Wy…"
"Next time you fail to come home..." Although Wyatt didn't complete his words, his condescending voice and darkened gaze were enough to frighten me.
I shook my head and nodded my head in confusion. I wanted to explain to Wyatt that I wasn't avoiding him, but I wanted to tell him that I understood his words perfectly. I felt so caught up in confusion.
I pursed my lips and nervously retorted. "Wyatt, I'm just... Mmhhh." My words were paused by Wyatt's cold lips, which suddenly sealed my lips.
In the next second, Wyatt separated from me, and his black eyes directly stared into mine. "Make excuses again, and I'll kiss you silly. You still have something to say?" He coldly inquired.
A wave of helplessness washed over me, and I slowly exhaled a joyful yet helpless sigh. Why did he kiss me? But why did he only kiss me for such a short time? The thoughts kept running rampant in my mind.
I silently shake my head to clear my chaotic thoughts.
Wyatt turned away and strode toward my bag hanger, picked up my bag, held my hand, and walked out of the hostel.
Soon, I found myself sitting next to Wyatt, right in Wyatt's 800 million wolvese worth car. I sighed in distress. Isn't this too expensive just to pick me up? Ah! I'll never understand this mysterious beta of mine flow of thoughts.
Ping!
The sudden notification made by my phone jolted me away from my thoughts. I quickly took out my phone, which was tucked in my pocket, and unlocked it.
Upon seeing a text from Rex, my eyes lit up with joy, and I quickly tapped on Rex's chat interface.
