Chapter 174: Chapter 174
I squinted my eyes beautifully, exhaled, and lazily swung my legs, my body leaning into the sofa.
Life like this is very sweet and leisurely. I must have been the most leisure Luna in history.
I placed my hands on Zierk, raised him, and began to play with him while smacking playful kisses on his cheeks.
Since two weeks ago, after the fight with Lorelei and the witch tribe, my mates and the whole tribe have been extremely busy.
Right now, the fight between the witch clan, vampire clan, and werewolf clan has come to an end, and the tribes have now become one.
Due to this, Rex had to return to the vampire tribe to make proper arrangements on his own part.
After the fight, Wyatt returned to the witch clan with their members and took charge of cleaning the witch clan and assigning a capable person as their king.
For years while Conan and Lorelei were in charge of the clan, all sorts of corruption had run rampant over the tribe.
Wyatt was the one to oversee the punishment and made sure none of the sinners went unpunished.
And just like Lorelei, Conan and the people who mixed with Lorelei were sentenced to death, lifetime imprisonment, or the punishment they deserved.
All of the chambers that accommodated Lorelei's wicked acts were directly destroyed and burned into nothing.
Asher made sure the red flame pack members were able to integrate with the power axis pack easily.
The Red Flame pack members were made to participate through fierce training and other responsibilities the power axis pack members go through.
Furthermore, all the sinners during Henry's time didn't go unpunished. Whoever deserves death shall be bestowed with death, and whoever deserves heavy or less punishment will be bestowed exactly.
Henry's spoiled children and his wife were ordered to be servants of the pack for five years, with their actions being watched closely. If it was found out that they hadn't switched for the good, then they'd have to continue until they learned their lessons.
Finally, Oswald was in charge of the power axis pack. Since the fathers and mothers had directly left after such a moment like this, there's an exceptional surge of work Oswald has to handle.
And for me, well, it depends on my mood. And even though I still try to do the important things as Luna, I'm still the most leisurely among the four.
Due to their busy schedule, I haven't set eyes on Rex and Wyatt. However, I still catch sight of Asher and Oswald once in a while.
Upon hearing the ringing of the alarm, I held my baby and sprang up.
The four will be home four hours from now; I have to make their return remarkable. The thoughts of my plans filled me with excitement.
The plans are one of the reasons I stayed home today.
I held my giggling Zeirk carefully, stepped out of the room, and descended the stairs carefully before approaching the kitchen.
One of my plans included making a feast of all their favorite meals. Just thinking about how happy they'll be made my heart surge with warmth.
“Madam,” Fox stretched out her hand, and her eyes landed on Zierk eagerly. Even though she hadn't said the word yet, I knew all she wanted was to carry Zierk.
Zierk is very popular, and everyone in the pack always wants to carry him due to his handsomeness and sweet character. I'm just lucky to have him.
I nodded to Fox and smiled at her before gently handing Zierk over. The cold Fox immediately softened, and she began to play with Zierk.
Zeirk’s loud giggling and laughter filled the mansion; it was clear that Zeirk already recognized Fox.
“Maia, hi. Filippa.” Arya poked her head in before running into the kitchen, her cute and enthusiastic actions not diminishing a bit.
Upon seeing me cooking, Arya's eyes lit up, and she threw her thumbs up to me. “Whoa, you truly take time to spoil your mate.” Arya cried out with exaggeration.
Suddenly, Arya's expression changed, and she burst into crocodile tears while feigning sadness. “Sister-in-law, let me tell you, I'm the one who's hit the most by our parents' leaves. I’ve always been spoiled by everyone. Suddenly, there's no one to spoil me. I can't even see my parents when I want to; don't I deserve pity…”
My lips twitched upon seeing Arya's dramatic actions. I knew Arya was feigning sadness just because she needed a word from me. “Alright, we'll make the pitiful Arya, her share. However, I can't assure my pompous mates...” I meaningfully paused and stated with a smile, my actions meaning that I didn't know if she'd be able to eat with us due to my protective mates.
Instantly, a wide smile appeared on Arya’s face, and she patted her chest nonchalantly as if to tell me to never mind my mate's possessiveness. “As long as I have my portion, then I'm fine. I'll help you.“ Arya immediately ran toward the apron section to take out an apron.
My eyes fell on Arya immediately. Although Arya is trying her best to act fine, I could see that she wasn't, and I know this wasn't related to the parents' departure. Moreover… “Arya,” I called, my voice having seriousness laced to it. “Have you found your mate?” Immediately, I turned to Arya and stared at her face seriously.
Arya's hand fixing the apron faltered slightly, yet she only bowed her head and stayed silent.
I held Arya's shoulder and met her gaze seriously. “That day when I was kidnapped by Rex's guard, at first he wanted to hit you, but he ended up letting you go. Is something between you two…” My eyes constricted. Could it be…
“Quincy is my mate. Rex's loyal guard is my mate.” Arya confessed, her playful expression changing. Immediately, Arya broke down into tears.
Upon hearing this, my lips parted in shock. The both of them must have definitely known for over a month, yet they hadn't gotten together. What could have gone wrong?
I exhaled, held Arya's hands, and patiently wiped her tears while comforting her. My brows knitted slightly, and my solemn gaze landed on Arya. “Why have you gotten together yet? Do you dislike his status? Or is it because he's a vampire?” I asked, cutting straight to the chase.
Arya looked down at her feet and shook her head. She bit her lower lip; anxiety and sadness hung on her face. “I don't have a dislike for vampires, and I don't look down on Quincy's position. I loved him just the way he is.” Arya paused and exhaled in a shaky breath.
“It's just that, will my relationship with him be accepted? I'm afraid I don't want to lose him.” She whispered, her voice shaky due to fear.
I smiled, patiently wiped Arya's tears, and sighed in relief that the reasons weren't due to the mentioned two.
I shook my head and seriously replied, “Right now, the clans have become one; there won't be any rejection.”
“Moreover, all the parents already accept Rex as their child. If the parents dislike vampires, they won't have accepted my relationship with Rex. Furthermore, you are the most loved princess; our parents will definitely not want to see you in discomfort.” I patiently explained while doing my best to coax her.
Upon hearing my explanation, Arya's eyes brightened and a trace of hope appeared on her face, but in the next second, she deflected like a ball and pouted in sadness. “But ever since then, he hadn't appeared before me, and when he did, he didn't cast a glance at me or act like he wanted to see me. What if he never wants me?”
“I don't think that's possible,” I interjected solemnly, wiped Arya's tears away, cupped her cheeks, and pulled her cheeks playfully. “Arya is the most beautiful and hardworking princess. How can he dare? I'll ask Rex if Quincy is coming along with him.”
Arya nodded, sniffed, and muttered a silent thank you.
I shook my head and took out my phone. I tapped on Rex and I's chat interface and swiftly typed, ‘Rex, is Quincy coming with you?
Within a minute or two, Rex's message infiltrated my phone. ‘Yes. Any problem, princess?’
I swiftly typed in response, ‘No. No problem, hubby. Be safe.’ I completed the chat with a kiss emoji and tucked my phone into my pocket.
I turned to Arya and conveyed with a smile, “He’ll be here. You can both talk.”
Upon hearing this, Arya's eyes lit up and she exhaled with a smile. “Filippa, thank you. I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for you.” She held my hand and sincerely conveyed. Suddenly, her face broke into a smile. “Let's continue, please.”
I nodded my head and returned to the meal preparation.
