Wyatt strode toward me carefully. Upon seeing my pale face, his brows knitted, and his face contorted slightly. He cupped my face and carefully inquired, traces of worries hung on his face. "What's wrong?"

I shivered and burrowed into Wyatt's embrace pitifully. "Wyatt, it's so scary." I stuttered nervously, my heart racing and my eyes stinging due to unshed tears. I stuttered, "The cat led me here. It disappeared..."

Upon hearing Lorelei's words, my brows furrowed, and my face contorted in a frown, finding something amiss.

Oswald clarified.

"Hm." I nodded my head sweetly and wrapped my hands around Wyatt's neck.

Recalling what had just ensued, I couldn't help thinking that Wyatt knew in advance. "Hubby Wyatt, do you know I was being led out?" I tilted my head and asked curiously.

Wyatt placed a gentle kiss on my nose. "You'll be fine." He declared as if he would have made sure I was regardless of whether he knew or not. "She wanted to lead you out. We want to beat her to her plans."

Although Wyatt only made a simple explanation, I understood that Wyatt meant that Lorelei wanted to put me in danger, so they had made me fall for it while acting clueless, so they would oversee my safety and beat Lorelei in her scheme at the same time.

I burrowed into Wyatt's embrace and shivered upon recalling the scene of the cat vanishing in my presence. "Hubby, I was so scared."
