Chapter 118: Chapter 118

Wyatt's eyes immediately burst with a golden light. Without hesitation, he raised his fist in the air to punch the infuriating Oswald.

“Wyatt, No!” I cried out, gently hugged him from behind, and reached out to pull his hands back.

Asher hurriedly made his way towards Oswald and then pulled him back.

Wyatt turned to me, his golden eyes glinting and his jaw clenched in indignation.

I shook my head and burrowed into Wyatt's embrace before gently coaxing him through the mind-link. ‘I didn't know why you brought me here, but it must have been for an important purpose, right? Hubby, let's not give Oswald the chance to dampen our joy, please.’ I coaxed and wrapped my hands around his strong waist. Gently, I stroked his hand, and his taut body immediately relaxed in my embrace. His golden eyes immediately turned black.

Wyatt nodded and lowered his head to kiss my forehead. I sighed in relief and gave Wyatt a pure smile.

Luna Queen Lena stood up and stared at Oswald with a furious expression. “Oswald, what's wrong with you? What are you doing?”

Oswald leisurely returned to sitting. “The pack is in such a critical moment; how could one in his right mind plan to get married?” He retorted nonchalantly.

I scowled while resisting the urge to punch his stupid face. What does he mean by one in his right mind?

Clearly, Oswald isn't in his right mind because Wyatt and I don't interfere with the pack-critical planning!

However, for his shamelessness, Oswald will use anything as an excuse to prevent Wyatt and me from getting married!

“Are you okay? But it doesn't interfere!” Luna Queen Lena rebutted angrily. Her body shaking in anger, Alpha King Hudson glared at Oswald before hurrying to hug and coax Luna, Queen Lena

“A party in the pack will invite low-guardedness. I won't let someone's wish for a party bring danger to my pack. The meal is ready; I'm hungry.” Oswald articulated with a sneer. He switched the topic upon seeing the maids begin to serve lunch.

The warm atmosphere immediately switched to a stifling one. The parent's glances fell on Oswald before they exchanged glances.

Suddenly, Natalie smiled and pointed at the dining chair. “We can't talk on an empty stomach. The food is ready; let's eat, please.” She announced.

Everyone immediately made their way to the dining chair and table and sat on their respective chairs.

The atmosphere felt so stifling and suffocating that I couldn't take it.

I separated from Wyatt and got permission to visit the restroom.

After rejecting Wyatt's invitation to accompany me to the restroom, Wyatt pointed to the nearby restroom, and I made my way there.

Upon stepping into the luxurious restroom, I closed the door with a sigh and leaned against the restroom door.

Oswald is such a jerk; how can Wyatt and I successfully get together when he is being like this? The more the seconds ticked, the more the trouble seemed to grow.

I sighed, leaned away from the door, and walked towards the wash basin. I opened the tap and washed my hands before I began to wash my face with the cool water from the tap.

Suddenly, the door opened behind me.

Before I could open my eyes, I felt muscular hands wrapped around my waist and a chin placed on my neck—a familiar agarwood scent immediately drifted into my nose. “Maia, I missed you.” Oswald seriously proclaimed in his deep voice next to my ear. His hand restrained my hands to my sides.

I paused my actions immediately.

My eyes flew wide open, and I glared at Oswald in fury.

After causing such a lot of trouble with Wyatt, did he come to me with the expectation that I'd accept him warm-heartedly? If he did, then he must be dreaming!

In fact, it's taking all of my patience not to punch him right in the face.

I clutched at my gown and stared at the washbasin coldly, refusing to meet Oswald's gaze through the mirror. “Don't be a jerk. Let go…”

Oswald tightened his hand around my waist immediately as a reply and blew warm air on my neck. “Maia, are you annoyed, hm? Nevertheless, I won't let you get married to Wyatt,” he proclaimed, his thick voice very calm, steady, and serious at the same time.

Upon hearing Oswald’s cocky words, a surge of fury invaded my whole being, and I began to struggle against Oswald's hold, but no matter how much I tried to break free, I found myself unable to.

I gnashed my teeth together and finally raised my head to stare at his face through the mirror, my eyes filled with anger. “Oswald, are you crazy?”

Oswald suddenly pressed himself against me, and his index finger suddenly began to trail my spine, sending tingles through wherever he touched. His lips curved up, and he smirked wickedly.

My legs weakened immediately, and desire burned into me. The tingles Oswald kept directing through my skin almost drove me crazy, but I bit down on my lips, refusing to let any sounds spill from my mouth no matter what happened.

I can't give Oswald satisfaction, no matter what happens. No, I can't…

“Right now, you look so kissable. I can hardly restrain myself…” Oswald suddenly conveyed and blew warm air into my ear, his lips curving proudly. Obviously, he wanted to see how I'd react to my powerlessness. After all, he knew that I hated cheating.

My face turned grim immediately, and I glared at him angrily. “Oswald, I'll yell for help…”

“You can?” Oswald taunted, his brows arched. Even though he didn't say anything, we both knew that the last thing I ever wanted was for the issue between the three of us to cause a mess today. “Can you bear to let them know what is going on between the three of us? I don't mind.” He threatened

I gnashed my teeth together. That bastard! He won this time! Despite how I didn't want to bow down for Oswald, I knew I had no choice but to if I didn't want to cause trouble today. I clenched my fist and shook my head, resisting the urge that was currently coursing through me. I really want to call Wyat in.

I took a deep breath and tried to make my voice as calm and sincere as I could. “Please.” I pleaded

“You're rejecting us because of our location, right? Alright, it's a debt. I'll find you later to repay it.” Oswald muttered domineeringly and finally separated from me and released me.

“Nonsense!” I glared at him and turned to leave immediately. What nonsense is he speaking? As if I'll ever let him kiss me!

I turned the doorknob, attempting to open the door, but before I could, Oswald straightened his back and fixed his gaze on me. “You both know I will keep fighting. Don't expect me to watch on.”
