Chapter 115: Chapter 115

Visiting the? What the hell? I never expected that Wyatt would bring me to his family without my knowledge. How can he do this? I wasn't even prepared for it. Not at all!

First, Wyatt didn't let me dress up in such a beautiful and impressive manner; how could he let me put on such a shapeless dress to meet his family? Who even does that?

Second, and most importantly, I didn’t even get the chance to prepare a gift for my in-laws. How could he do such a thing to me? Who even does that?

I smacked my lips and glared at him in grievance. This isn't a good surprise at all…

Wyatt leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on my forehead before susurrating next to my ear in a husky and deep voice, “I prepared gifts, baby. You just have to reward...”

“Reward you what?” I interjected his words with a fierce growl, despite my hoarse voice. How does he have the mood to tell me to reward him when I'm currently furious at him for what he has just done? I scoffed unhappily.

Wyatt's lips curved slightly, and he tapped my chin in amusement. His lips parted…

“I told you that once they’re in each other's presence, they won’t care about the rest of the world. How many times has a singleton like me been given dogfood by those two? It's enough that they do this in the hostel. Now… They won't even stop in my house. Ah, so infuriating.” Arya ran her hands through her hair and huffed dramatically in her tiny, cute, sweet voice. However, despite her words, she kept crossing her fingers and winking at me mischievously.

(A/N: Dogfood: public display of affection.)

Upon hearing Arya's voice, I quickly looked away from Wyatt after giving him one last fierce glare and cautiously turned to my left side in astonishment.

Upon catching sight of over ten people staring at Wyatt and me, my eyes widened, and my scalp tingles in embarrassment.

I expected no one to be out here waiting for us, but thinking about it, that will be the case. After all, everyone, including Arya, must have known, and only I must be the clueless one.

I pursed my lips grimly. Wyatt really has the ability to block me from receiving news, doesn't he?

If he doesn't want me to receive news, then there's no way I would receive it. No matter how I see it, it doesn't seem to be that much of a good sign.

I furrowed my brows, and I couldn't help thinking that I was forgetting something important. I tugged at my hair in worry while wondering what it might be.

Even Maia could only feel that we'd forgotten something important and what it was; she couldn't recall either.

I pinched my palm hard; the pain jolting me away from my trance. I quickly took a deep breath to regain my composure.

Instantly, I attempted to leave Wyatt’s arms.

Fortunately, Wyatt let me leave without hesitation this time, and I inwardly sighed in relief.

If Wyatt really insisted on carrying me around in his family’s mansion, then I'd be really embarrassed to death.

Wyatt wrapped his hand around my waist and began to carefully direct the limping me towards his family.

Upon seeing my manner of walking, multiple eyes fell on my legs immediately. Their eyes held an expression filled with teasing.

My face and cheeks warmed up because of embarrassment.

I lowered my head and subtly pinched Wyatt’s waist in grievance. He planned to bring me here, yet he insisted on tossing me about last night and this morning.

It’s all his fault! If it wasn't for him, I wouldn't be limping.

If it weren't for him, I would've known he planned to bring me to his family today.

Wyatt patted my head in amusement before we slowly came to a stop.

Wyatt and I bowed slightly to everyone present, which included Alpha King Hudson, Luna Queen Lena, Natalie, Wyatt’s dad, Arya, Asher, Lorelei, and two couples I hadn’t met before.

One couple has similar features to Asher, while the other has features similar to Arya. Even without being told, I knew it was the two parents.

My eyes squinted in curiosity, bewilderment, and suspicion. Lorelei’s parents aren't present this time either. Wasn't it the same thing every time? Just what is the identity Lorelei has?

Wyatt held my hand and calmly introduced me to everyone present. “This is Maia, my mate, and wife-to-be,” he introduced, and they all flashed me a sincere, warm smile.

Wyatt turned to me before he began to point at each of the people present to introduce them to me.

“Maia, these are Luna Queen Lena and Alpha King Hudson, Oswald's parents. These are the previous betas, Mrs. Natalie and Mr. Finley, yours and Wyatt's parents. These are Mr. Louie and Mrs. Phoebe, the previous gamma chief and Asher's parents. Mr. Ezra and Mrs. Willow—elders—Arya's parents." Wyatt calmly introduced me to the parents present.

My and Maia's hearts were sweetened upon hearing Wyatt introduce Finley and Natalie as our parents, and I couldn't help but stroke his palm in joy.

But in the next minute, I knitted my brows in confusion, wondering how to greet and create a nice impression on my in-laws.

I smacked my lips grudgingly. Only if Wyatt had let me know beforehand, I'd have practiced earnestly, and I'd never be at a loss for what to do currently. I bowed. “Hello, I'm pleased to meet...”

“Brother, won't you introduce big brother Asher and me to my sister-in-law?” Before I could complete my words, Arya interrupted with an accusing tone filled with grievances and pouted her lips in disapproval.

Immediately, Arya secretly winked and grinned at me, and I understood that she had purposely interrupted me upon noticing that I was at a loss for what to do.

I secretly gave Arya a gaze filled with appreciation, and she secretly gave me a thumbs-up. I felt my tense nerves relax immediately.

“Needing your big brother to introduce you to your roommate, you still won't stop messing around.” Mrs. Willow chided Arya immediately, but I couldn't fail to catch the fondness and pampering in her tone.

Everyone chuckled immediately, and the atmosphere turned cozy.
