Chapter 108: Chapter 108

My eyes constricted, and I shivered in Wyatt's embrace due to his threat. “I. I won't dare to, hubby.” I quickly replied while secretly sighing in relief.

I've just hidden a dangerous secret from Wyatt, but thankfully it's just between Oswald and me, so I can't help being relieved and assured that Wyatt will never get to know about the kiss.

I believe Oswald won't go tattling about the kiss to Wyatt.

Moreover, even if Oswald did, I'm sure Wyatt wouldn't believe him because Wyatt would think that was Oswald's way of trying to separate the both of us.

Wyatt stroked my chin and planted a kiss on my forehead. “You're not unworthy, Maia. You're powerful and have numerous true bloods in you. You might be stronger than I.” He stated, his voice carrying seriousness.

Upon hearing Wyatt's sentence, my eyes widened in shock, but in the next second, I snapped out of it.

I puffed my cheeks and glared at Wyatt angrily. Did Wyatt think I'm a naive kid that he's carving such hilarious lies with full seriousness? Did he forget I'm an adult?

How can Wyatt say that just to get to me? How can I be more powerful than Wyatt, who's a lycan? That's impossible!

Wyatt poked my nose and smirked. “So docile lately. Missed the arrogant Maia of the past,” he said.

I puffed my cheeks and glared at Wyatt before slapping his mischievous hand away. What did he mean, I'm docile? I'm never docile! I'm forever the arrogant princess of the Red Flame Pack who can never bow down.

I huffed and poked Wyatt's strong chest before solemnly replying one word after the other. “I never change. I'm not docile.”

I firmly declared and turned away from Wyatt with a huff.

Wyatt chuckled, his chest reverberating. I couldn't help turning to look; my eyes stuck to his handsome face.

Wyatt is so handsome. I could get lost watching his face. I'm so lucky to have him.

‘You know Wyatt is right. You're letting the setback get to you these days. Just an Oswald and you're provoked. Where's the Filippa who wants to take over the red flame pack?’ Maia suddenly articulated, making me freeze.

Upon hearing Maia's words, I lowered my head and played with my fingers in shame.

Maia is right; I've lost the fearless spirit I owned when I survived death. I'm just... how should I put it? Docile, like Wyatt said? Or weak, like that girl said?

Upon realizing this, I clenched my fist and inwardly promised myself to never back down.

“Come, let's go home.” Wyatt suddenly asserted, jolting me from my thoughts.

Upon hearing Wyatt's words, my eyes flew wide open due to shock. I stared at Wyatt unblinkingly, my brows scrunched up. “Ho… Home? But that's against the law.” I retorted.

Wasn't it to prevent Wyatt and me from getting together that Oswald made such rules? I don't believe that Oswald's eyes won't be on Wyatt and me to monitor us.

Wyatt's lips curved slightly in blasé. “Don't want to?” he simply replied.

Even though I know this may have consequences, I really want to come along with Wyatt.

So what if Oswald monitors us? Who cares? That jerk can't prevent me from being with my handsome man!

Moreover, I don't believe that he'll still have the strength to bother Wyatt and me after the earlier words I said to him.

I pucker my lips and demurely nodded before saying in a feigned tiny voice. “I want to. But. If we get caught, it's your fault.” I whispered in a tiny voice and poked Wyatt's chest.

Wyatt arched his brows upon hearing my word, a gloating expression on his face. I understand that he was mocking me for being scared. I huffed and playfully punched his chest.

Wyatt's expression suddenly changed. His brows knitted, and his dark eyes fell on my lips. “What's wrong with your lips?” he inquired

My heart flew to my throat due to nervousness, but I quickly pinched my palm to calm down.

I knitted my brows in feigned confusion and used my hand to touch my lips in feigned bewilderment. “My lips?” I tilted my head and questioned.

I shrugged and removed my hands from my lips. “Might be when I was laying on the leaves,” I explained.

Inwardly, I couldn't help but be grateful for the momentary decision to lie on the floor earlier.

The decision was the reason I carried no scent of Oswald, which was one of the reasons Wyatt believed me. If it weren't for that, I don't know how I'd successfully convince Wyatt.

Wyatt nodded and stood up. Carrying me in his arms, he gently walked us home.

This time, Wyatt didn't use his speed; instead, he walked us home in a steady stride.

It was as if Wyatt was trying to use the scenery to help me relax, and I can't deny that watching the scenery while listening to Wyatt's powerful heartbeat helped me relax a lot.

I don't even know when my annoyance and bad mood dissipated without a trace. I sighed and laid my head on Wyatt's shoulder, lost in the scenic view.

As soon as we arrived at the mansion, Wyatt gently placed me down on my feet due to the sudden ringing of his phone.

He raised his chin and pointed toward the stairs. "Go; I'll meet you upstairs." He ordered and placed a kiss at the corner of my lips.

I nodded and took a deep breath before I began to climb up the familiar stairs that led to my room.

It's been a while since I've been here. I mean, it has been over two weeks since I've been in Wyatt's mansion, and I can't help but miss it a lot.

Somehow, being here makes me feel special and helps me calm my nerves.

While ascending the stairs, I began to recall the first time I stepped into the mansion, planning to be Wyatt's maid while still having a petrifying feeling for Wyatt.

Never did I expect that weeks later, my feelings for Wyatt would change and my crush on Wyatt would develop into something more.

Realizing it, it felt like a dream come true, and I can't help but feel the joy that pervades my whole system. My face lit up with a joyful, silly smile.

I turned the doorknob to reveal my room still left according to how I left it. I took a deep breath and shut the door, feeling pleased to the core.

Feeling the traces of dust from earlier on my skin and recalling Oswald, my nose wrinkled in disdain, and I began to take off my clothes with speed.

As soon as I did, I picked up the dirty clothes, intending to wash them before bathing.

Immediately, I began to make my way to my closet to pick up a clean towel and pajamas I'd make use of after bathing.

Alas! By the time I open my closet, I find it completely empty.

My eyes flew wide in astonishment. "Wyatt moved my clothes? But why didn't he tell me earlier when he asked me to come upstairs? I could have gone to his room directly..."

Before I could complete my words, my door was suddenly opened from outside, and Wyatt leisurely strode into my room, shutting the door behind him immediately.

Upon seeing my state, Wyatt's lips smirked mischievously, and his eyes darkened as if he had been expecting it.

My eyes constricted immediately, understanding that this man had planned it all.

Ever since Wyatt raised the topic of bringing me home, he has been planning how our night will end. What bullshit phone call? It must be Wyatt's scheme!

And yet again, I've happily fallen into his schemes.

Gosh! I gnashed my teeth together. Does Wyatt have to be like this every time? Such a meticulous planner! He always caught me unguarded every time!

I knew if Wyatt told me that he moved my things to his room, I'd act very cautiously so I wouldn't trigger Wyatt, unlike how I did earlier.

That must have been the reason Wyatt took those steps.

I smacked my lips together, my eyes moist due to helplessness. Does he really have to do this?

"Beautiful view." Wyatt's brows arched, and he muttered in a husky tone. His black eyes fell on my naked body, eying me from head to toe, his dark eyes glinting dangerously.

My eyes constricted, but in the next second, I snapped out of it and dashed into the bathroom before shutting the door and locking it immediately.

My body trembled slightly. "Damn it. That lustful man is always scheming ahead. Filippa, how can you be so stupid every time?" I smacked my head and huffed immediately.
