Anna's P.O.V

It's like ages. Fear is rising in me ,I ran to be safe but now I'm nowhere in the woods as it's getting dark.I tried my best to find the way back but I couldn't because I'm lost,my legs gave up again as I stood there burning my face into my palms and cried.

My whimpers stopped as my breath hitched when I felt someone's palm over my right shoulder abruptly.

Immediately I turned around,I didn't know why but I was not afraid thinking it would be Andrew.

Turning around I paused as I met his eyes. Those eyes concerned with care and fear.

"A...,"I hugged him for a second before he could speak.

Burying my face deep into his chest where his scent was kicking through my nostrils. Letting out a sigh I pushed him more into me. Crying over him gave me comfort,I knew that I was drenching his dress again but I didn't care. I just needed this,I needed this so much. This comfort I get.

I ran to find a place to be safe but I never knew that this place is safe for me , it made me feel safer and better,the fear which was draining into me is slowly being vanished I feel warmth.

It was when he wrapped his arm around me gently. Hugging me slowly and tapping my back slowly to comfort me, but he never knew that he had already comforted me. He made me feel secure.

Resting his hand on the ground he leaned backwards and looked at me. With a gentle smile on his face he took his phone from the pocket and dialed a number. Removing his gaze from me he looked at the lake which was flowing in front of us. We were seated on the ground.

"Hey,"Jackie spoke "she is fine,"

Bray:Where was she?

Jackie:Near the lake.

Their conversation made me feel awkward as I didn't know how to react because it was about me. I pulled my legs towards my chest and hugged,by swinging back and front listening to Jackie.

Bray:hmmm,she has gone too far.

Jackie:yeah.hey what did you tell mom?

Bray:I just told her that you both are busy making love (he chuckled)

Jackie:urgh.....

Bray :alright ,be back asap. The bonfire and food are ready.

Jackie:okay and tell Ella that she is fine because she will be worried.

Bary:definitely. See yah.

Jackie:hmm

He hung out and pushed his phone into his pocket whereas I was observing him in the side of my eyes.

"Uff,'he murmured and layed on the ground looking at the bright sky. With a slight smile on my face I also laid down next to him looking at the wonderful night sky where the full moon was surrounded with many twinkling stars.

"You know, "he said, moving his hand below his head"I love to look at the lovely sky with the person I love."

I gave no answer because I was observing the sky. It seems like you're going close to it.

"Anna,"he called out which made me turn towards my right to glance at him."You okay,"he asked with concern.

Removing my gaze away from him I paid attention to the sky again.

"Hmm,"I hummed in response.

"Don't wanna talk,"

"Hmmm,"I hummed again.

Sighing he moved his gaze from me to the adorable galaxy on top.

After a few minutes of silence he spoke"let me tell you a secret,"he blurted as I looked at him again where he was observing the dark sky. His side features made a smile to carve on my lips and I looked at the sky,giving no answer.

"Jon,Bray and I,"

"What about them,"I asked, not removing my sight from nature.

"We are not real brothers, "he stated softly which made me look at him immediately with astonishment.

"We are cousins,"he continued as I looked away."Jon is mom's son and Bray's parents are abroad,they didn't have time for Bray because of their busy schedule. Therefore Bray stays with us because he feels home. Couple of weeks back Bray's parents called him there saying that his visa is ready but he refused to go. ,"clearing his throat he continued"And my parents abandoned me,"his words made my eyes go wide.

Jackie doesn't have parents,but why. I didn't know how to react to his words,I didn't turn to look at him because I didn't know what to say.

"Mom is my mother's sister,she is my aunt. When I was fifteen my mother dropped over here and told me to be safe from my father,to stay away from him. ,"taking a deep breath he continued "She promised me that she will come back. That she will come back for me but she didn't."he paused and the surrounding was left in silence. The movement of dried leaves moving for the cool breeze could be heard.

"Alright;"he abruptly turned towards me but I didn't move an inch"I told you my secret,Now tell me yours , "he said by raising his eyebrows when I looked at him with a confused expression.

"Huh?why should I,"I scoffed.

"Because I told you mine, "

"I didn't ask you to tell me;"

"That's unfair,"he frowned and turned his gaze to the sky and grinned "come on speak up."

I was just looking at him,observing his every single feature,some of his strands of his messy black hair falling over his ivory skin making him look appealing.

"What,"he asked by furrowing his eyebrows at me.

It was when realisation hit me that I was staring at him for a long time.

"I know that my side view looks great ;"he smirked which made my lips to form in an 'o' shape. I quickly removed my gaze from him and moved to the sky "no,"I scoffed.

Seriously, how cocky.

After a few minutes of silence I inhaled a deep breath"My parents didn't die in a car crash they were murdered. ,"I was staring at the dark sky like I was searching for something.

I could feel his gaze on me but I refused to look at him as I didn't know how to react.

Gosh Anna.yo don't know how to react to any situation.

"When I was 15 my father handled a case of a very rich person who's been doing drugs and selling girls to other countries. ,"I tried my best not to let any tears roll down my cheeks''While I was walking back home from highschool with my friend ,abruptly a stranger came forward and began to speak to us. I tried my best to explain to Jessie that we were being late but she continued to speak about the route he was asking for. That's all that I could remember of what happened at that moment. Everything turned black and when I opened my eyes we were in some kind of a room. We had no idea where we were and what happened. Luckily we were not tied up so we tried to find a way out. ," a smile appeared on my face when I felt Jackie's hand on mine.

It made me feel better. Yes he made me feel better than Beca.

Taking a deep breath I continued"There was an open window so we tried to escape. I made it but Jessie couldn't. They dragged her out of the room. So I decided to help her. I walked in trying not to be noticed by anyone. ,"The picture of that building viewed in front of my eyes,it was so huge like a mansion"I began to record everything in my mobile. I was busy recording as I lost my way and I didn't know where she was. ,"the feeling of guilt raised inside because it was my fault. I should have saved her"I tried to call my dad but there was no signal,therefore I sent him the record. I didn't know how I got the courage at that time but I ran to find Jessie. Thinking to save her but ended up getting caught,"the incident was playing in front of my eyes the way they beat me."I threw my phone outside before they could get it. Later cops arrived and they were caught. My dad was in charge of the case so HE began to stand against my father because HE lost his business. All his workers were prisoned except for him. He wanted to destroy our family,"I looked at Jackie when I realised that he was staring at me.

"What about Am...,"

"She was here for studies so HE doesn't know Amy,"I replied. Before the question.

A tear rolled down my cheeks while I was looking at him. His eyes were concerned with care.

"Now he is here for me. He is stalking me.,"I wiped the tears with the back of my left palm because my right hand was held by Jackie.

"He knows where I am,"

"How do you know,"Jackie asked softly by wrinkling his forehead still looking deep into my eyes.

"I get messages and calls from him. I changed my number even though he knows it. I received a letter from him during the party. ,"I paused and looked deep into his eyes where tears pricked my eyes"I am scared,"I whispered.

He looked at me for a moment and moved forward while squeezing my hand gently. He moved forward where our forehead was against each other. His breath touched my skin.

"I'll protect you,"he whispered.
