Chapter 157: Chapter 157
It's impossible. Jessy is dead. Chad and the other hunters attested to it and even Spencer confirmed it to me. So how come he's here in front of us and killed my grandfather?
Greg stood up, feeling better before extending his hand to me.
" I imagine that like all nasty clichés, you are going to give us the presentation of this scenario?"
Greg spoke, wiping invisible dirt off his shirt.
" Ah, it's stronger than me, I have to explain to you"
Greg rolled his eyes as he helped me up. I wanted to understand, it was not normal.
Jessy sat on my grandfather's torn body making the scene both morbid and disgusting. I put a hand over my mouth in an effort not to throw up and waited with Greg, too quietly, for Jessy to finally speak.
" Hmmm how to say, I am a rogue wolf? My name is Hayce and I started the war between the alliance and rogues decades ago."
Greg frowned. He remembers this story. First fifty years ago, an alpha who had lost the fight for the title of pack leader had been banished for refusing to submit to the new Alpha. With his sympathizers, he had created the wandering rogues pack and returned years later only to be defeated by the Alliance again this time around. Then he tried something again, but this time, his father and his mother had united.
He was still alive?
" I have repeatedly tried to take control of this city, fortunately, I am a very persevering scientist. Using the research of this dear Frankenstein, I knew how to lengthen my existence while keeping my youth. But I never gave up my dream of domination. This is where you were born young alpha, your power was what I was missing. I wanted to take you away when you were born, but your parents got in the way and I had to give up. But at the same time, I had another string to my bow."
Hayce confessed that he met André thirty years ago. He wanted to reclaim the so-called Alpha position that had allegedly been stolen from them. Hayce wanted him to conquer the mystical world so he decided to use André for his plans. Without knowing it, André had become Hayce's puppet.
Hayce had also decided to keep an eye on the outside world and so had inseminated a random Omega so that the child that would be born would be his eyes and ears.
Jessy.
Hayce had therefore kept an eye on everything happening in the city until he discovered the existence of an exceptional hybrid between alfe and lycan. It was the only thing he needed to stabilize the far too uncontrollable and powerful powers of this young Alpha.
This is where his consciousness took control over André's beginning to place his cards until this moment. There was no longer any question of hiding, he finally had all the pieces in hand and could carry out his projects.
"So, these mutants... Chad had been right."
The two men looked at me strangely before Hayce understood my thought.
" Ah... I see... Yes, mutants are mostly creatures. The rogues from my pack and the other creatures I've gathered around my project."
I frowned before feeling Greg's hand squeeze mine.
" And you want to absorb us for that?"
" That's the plan, yes…"
Greg sighed before changing into a wolf as I nodded bringing Cici out. I'm still a little weak but if I can at least support Greg, I'll do my best.
"You know, you can't beat me. I have over fifty years of experience and I know you better than you."
Greg Smiled.
" Yes, you only know what I wanted to show the others. Do you think Dominium is my power? No, it's just the faculties of my real power. Sophia?"
I looked at Greg a little lost but in his eyes, he wanted me to create a diversion.
I nodded as Hayce burst out laughing
" Even if you tell the truth, my boy, it is impossible for you to touch me. I can predict your every attack and your Luna's wolf attacks can't do anything against it....ah"
Cici had just bitten Hayce's arm inflicting a deep wound
"How?"
" You don't even know my unique ability, how can you claim to have all the strings to your bow?" I laughed
Hayce gritted his teeth as I continued to attack him like this for long minutes. Finally, weakened, he looked up at us and Greg smiled before looking at me.
" I am ready."
" Good… Transposition."
I blew. Greg is full of surprises.
A few minutes later.
** Sophia, you will be the only one to know my power so I will explain my plan to you **
** Yes**
** Dominium is the evolution of my basic power which allows me to impose my will on a large number of people in front of me. I developed this faculty after discovering that my original power could be limited at some point... Who would have thought that this power would be my last resort...**
Greg chuckled before sighing.
** My power is transposition and allows me to....**
" Project your mind into another person's body? But how?"
"Greg understood that you had developed a particular barrier against his pheromones and Dominium. So he decided to break right into you to break your conscience. After your nice explanations, thank you, Greg understood that it was not your body that made you immortal, but your mind. You can migrate from one body to another eternally so then to destroy you, we will kill your conscience."
Hayce screamed as he got trapped by this kid.
" Get out of my body you dirty kid…"
He struggled before he felt his body go still.
**Sophia**
Greg called me and I nodded.
" In addition grandpa, you also forgot a fact. I have alves and lycans powers, but as a hybrid, I also developed my faculty in line with that of my soulmate."
" Mind break"
"What?"
" I will absorb every part of your mind before gradually crushing them. It is a painful and exhausting process so you will suffer for a long time without being able to do anything. But for that, I need my soul to extract your consciousness and present it."
What happened next was long and painful for Hayce. Greg left his body as he writhed on the ground until he was going crazy. Every time I broke a part of him, it was like his soul was erased. Again and again, I erased his existence and after about thirty minutes Chad and the others joined us.
"Is it Jessy?"
They asked dazedly and I smiled.
"We will explain to you."
Serena was in Chad's arms with her face broken and her eyes red as I imagined the outcome of the fight. I know how it feels to lose her only family and I hope she gets over it.
The remaining allies were able to defeat the mutants thanks to the improbable but undoubtedly incredible coalition of alves and witches and it is still thanks to this fabulous coalition that the memory of the atrocious events had been erased from human collective memory.
A year and a half have passed after these terrible events and great changes have taken place in the city of Capital City. The biggest but most important was that the once despised and banished alves were now able to live among other creatures. The hunters, however, insisted that they be at their side considering them their deities.
I had the chance to get closer to my alfe family and it's something really good. Hunters joined the Alliance which was no longer just for creatures but for the mystical world. Hunters are fully part of it since they are not as human as they say in their strengths.
I met Greg's dying dad and introduced myself. The man just smiled before asking me if I wanted to kill him. I sighed. My life was bitter and I almost ruined everything because of revenge. I no longer feel anger or hatred for this man and just want him to spend the last moments of his life making amends for his bad choices.
Life went on quietly, well at least, a big surprise was mine when I found out that Chad was getting married.
"Pardon?"
Chad smiled shyly and I was dumbfounded. I think I'm not the only one because all of Elsa's family and even Greg were taken aback. Especially when you know who the lucky winner is.
"What surprises you about the fact that I'm going to marry Chad? The fact that he is human? That he's five years younger than me? Or is it too fast?"
We looked at the woman who spoke with her usual arrogance and the only answer was... That you were the bride.
Serena came into the living room arrogantly and distinguishably, and I felt sorry for Chad.
" Sweetheart…"
He got up quickly like a little dog and I struggled. Serena smiled before sitting down and crossing her feet.
" It turned out that Chad is my soulmate. An Omega is powerful as Iams to a mood for the alphas. The hunter was fine."
Chad blushed but we were just a little... Confused.
" And you Sophia, how is the little one doing?"
Serena smiled at my baby bump and I nodded.
"It's strange, he's rather calm today. Usually, he is very violent."
" I hope he will not be like his father when he was born. Greg's pheromones had knocked out the whole medical team and I had to perform the delivery that day."
Elsa spoke as Greg came to pat my head
"Anyway, we have nothing to fear because he will be well surrounded that day. Between you Elsa and Neltu, without forgetting Aisha, our son will be in good hands."
I smiled as my phone vibrated.
"Ah, it's Stacy. Chad, did you tell her about your wedding?"
Chad smirked and I knew that was a no.
" Hm…* Serena sulked and Chad went to calm her down.
" Baby, I love you, you know that don't you?"
" She's not a competition, let's see... I'm the most incredible woman that exists. But I don't like her hovering around you, it's simple."
We laughed like that and that's how we left each other.
At night, I looked at Greg who was lying on my stomach and I smiled.
** Cici, you were right. It's only when I see him this happy that I can savor life to the full**
**I told you so... His happiness is our happiness**
I nodded before stroking Greg's hair making him look at me. His beautiful red eyes are captivating, I hope our son will look like him.
" Thank you, my love"
" Hmm?"
" For your unconditional love and support. Thank you for everything."
Greg smiled before coming to kiss me.
" Whenever you want. "
I closed my eyes thinking of my mother, this is certainly the life she always wanted for me.
I'm satisfied.
END.
