I sighed so I walked down the dark hallway with my heart beating rapidly. I am very apprehensive about my future exchange with Greg. I would never have imagined that he would come to follow me to this place and that he would witness my meeting with my grandfather. Not to mention the fact that he heard almost everything about me. I feel more and more tense as I realize that the exit is near.

What am I going to be able to tell him? How to face without doubt his look full of reproaches, contempt, and disgust? Even though he didn't say or do anything inside to remonstrate, I'm sure he must have concealed his disappointment in me seeking information on the traitors in his pack and the Alliance.

That's the only reason he didn't vent his rage over the fact that I've been lying to him this whole time.

In my thoughts, I finally got out of that sweltering place that was the Shield of Rain lair and looked left and right to see if Greg and Chad were around.

Then I felt a presence behind me and scowling knowing who it was, I sighed first before turning to face the person.

" What else do you want Jessy?"

The man seems to study my expression as I wonder what else he wants from me. Am I not done with them already? What does he still want knowing that I can't stand his presence, even a tad?

* Hm, nothing. I just wanted to get some air."

It was suspicious, way too suspicious to the point where this excuse is tinged with bewilderment. Just get some air? To others not to me.

"Okay, I'll go then…"

" Wait, Sophia…"

" Listen, Jessy, I don't want to talk to you or have you right in front of me. Now that everything is clear between us I will go."

I heard a chuckle as I scowled at the man's actions.

I nevertheless take the road to the highway, deciding to ignore him and above all wanting to keep my role intact, to make Jessy believe that his bogus excuse of having thrown Chad near the highway convinced me. I started the path but Jessy spoke.

" Where are you going like that?"

I frowned, what else is there?

" I'm going to get my friend where you say you left him."

What was that stupid question? Of course, even though I know exactly where Chad is, I have to play along.

* Oh yes? And why would you go somewhere you know your friend isn't there?"

I turned sharply looking at Jessy who has a deep and critical look on my person. Does he suspect that I am acting? With his searching eyes, I have the impression that it is.

" What are you talking about? You told me that's where you left it. So what is the explanation for all of this? Would you lie to me? No, would you have lied to my grandfather?"

I smile as I see Jessy flinch at the mere mention of my grandfather. He must be terrified of him, but I guess I can't blame him for that. With what I've seen of his actions, there's reason to be afraid of this kind of crank.

Jessy, who went pale for a moment, pulled himself together before clearing his throat.

" No, do as you want."

He turned without staring at me one last time, I glared at him before walking but in the wind, I heard Jessy's voice.

" You are much too calm for someone whose condition of his friend is uncertain. I feel like you've been playing us from the start. But either, no matter what you're up to, I'll know I'm not fooled. My regards to Chad once you find him... wherever he is."

I gasped before turning around again to find the place empty. Jessy had already disappeared and I knew that asshole was suspicious of me. Maybe he's already read my attitude and knows Chad is safe.

I frown before shaking my head, no I must be worrying in vain.

I walked towards the city while on the side of Jessy, he returned to his master.

" Master, I think that Sophia is not very honest with us."

The latter smiled before looking at Jessy.

" Maybe you're right, but for now, she's very useful to us, so we'll put up with her until she accomplishes what she was born to do and once she's done... I'll let you have fun with her as you want. I can see your desire for her in your every move, once I take back what's mine you can have fun with her impregnating her again and again."

Jessy smiled, if he had the blessing of the master then it will be with pleasure that he will ruin Sophia's beautiful body as well as her will.

" But are you sure that she will obey our orders? She seems to care about her mate."
