David was trying to help Emily and Federico. But all of a sudden, she disappears. He can’t find her and he can’t reach her phone as well. He was being anxious that something bad might have happened to her. He knows and was sure that she is still in the country, he investigated with the airlines company with the help of his friend.

Did Emily change her mind? She can’t back out now. Federico is getting worst every day and David can’t just watch his buddy to ruin his life. He has heard from Samantha that Lindsay was continuously brainwashing the man by adding salt to the wound and pretentiously caring so much for Rick.

“Sammy!” David said when Samantha finally accepted his video call request after so many rings.

“What now? I’m busy and I will have a date tonight. Can’t we settle this matter of yours tomorrow?” she said as applying lipstick.

David suddenly felt infuriated hearing from her that she will go on a date but he can’t tell her that. So, to save his dignity and for her not to notice, he refuted, “The audacity of you to assume that the matter is mine. I will never be in contact with you if not for Federico. I called to tell you that Emily is missing in action. I am worried, also I want to know what is going on there right now.”

Samantha just rolled her eyes. What does he think of her? Has he taken her for a fool and a stupid woman who will not know what he was up to? She can see that David was making Federico’s issues as an excuse to pester her. However, Samantha can’t be bold to tell him that she was aware as she was one hundred percent, he will deny it.

“My cousin shuts Lindsay. She is not allowed to go near my cousin and Rick anymore. She probably be desperate right now but I don’t think that she has the power to touch Emily over there. I have been assigning guards to protect her family since I’m sure that vile woman would do something to threaten Emily since Federico is rejecting her.” Samantha explained. “So, there is nothing for you to worry about. I am in contact with Emily’s best friend, Kimberly, and she said that Emily is in constant communication with her and her family so she is fine. You okay now? Can I hung up because I will run late for my date.” She then hung up without getting David’s reply.

David stared at his laptop with disbelief in his eyes. “Hey! That woman is so rude and how can she go on a date with a random man? Does she even know that person so well? What if she gets into trouble and worst comes to worst she will be endangered.” He said to himself.

He was dumbfounded as a thought popped in his head. He clearly saw Samantha on his vision being taken advantage of and taken to a hotel. He was having goosebumps with such thoughts and he can’t take it anymore when a scene also popped in his mind seeing Samantha getting killed. Her dead body being thrown in a secluded area in the suburbs.

With pure panic, he dialed Aunty Feliciana’s number. With just three rings the call did went through. “Honey, I’m glad you called. How are you?”

“Aunty, I’m well but Samantha she is in great danger right now.”

“What are you talking about my child. Samantha is perfectly fine. In fact, she will go on a dinner outside with-“

David did not let her finish. “Yes, that’s what I’m talking about Aunty. Please don’t let her go outside with a stranger. How could she be so stupid and desperate for a man to the point of going outside with a person she doesn’t even know?”

Aunty Feliciana laugh which made David confused. “Dear, my niece is not desperate let alone stupid to go with someone she barely knows. She knew this person since young. She is going out with Dr. Snyder the doctor in charge in the shelter which Samantha’s mother owned.”

“Still, she shouldn’t go out with him. Samantha just transformed from an ugly duckling into a very beautiful swan. What if that man has an ulterior motive? Why can’t he just visit Samantha at home? That would be safer.” David was aware that he was not making sense but the idea that Samantha would go out on a date really pisses him off.

“David, calm down. Samantha is a grown-up woman now. She is super smart and she does know what she is doing. Also, if you are concern with her safety. There is no need for you to worry, Samantha is a back belter so taking her down will never be that easy. I am glad that you care about her.” Aunty Feliciana said as she looked at Samantha meaningfully who just descended from upstairs.

David who was from thousands of miles away did not know that Samantha heard Aunty Feliciana and his conversation. The phone was on loudspeaker and Samantha heard everything which made her really furious. Her fists curled into a ball.

“All right, Aunty. Got you. Thank you so much. Please take care.” David then hung up.

He was still feeling uncomfortable thinking that Samantha will go out with someone else. His intention was to convince Aunty Feliciana to stop Samantha from going out. But Aunty Feliciana was the kind of person that once she decides on something no one can ever change her mind. Also, she was a rational person. She must have seen that the man who Samantha will go on a date to was indeed someone Aunty Feliciana knows.

She sounds so confident as she said that the man is not a total stranger. Samantha knows him since she was young. With the looks of it, Aunty Feliciana does know him or must have meet him before as well. David subconsciously slammed the table in annoyance.

There is nothing he could do since he is far from her. He wanted to hide her away from all the men in the world. He feels frustrated as he can’t understand what was going on with him. Why is he feeling like this? He was acting like a jealous and possessive boyfriend.
