Chapter 28: Chapter 28

I woke up from a dream all sweaty and a bit embarrassed. What was that? I just dreamt the same dream that I had every night. I always dream about having s*x with a man that as if it was real. His face is blurry and I can't see it but the one I had last night was different because the man has a face already and it was my boss. Apart from that, the dream has a new scene, before we ended up in the room we are on a bar. It is really strange and it seems that it really did happened I tried to remember, somehow, my head hurts again I stopped thinking so hard because it will trigger as per David's advice I should not force myself to remember.

"Hi Emily, good morning." Cecile greeted.

"Hi." I replied weakly.

"What's wrong are you okay? It seems you are not in the right state." Cecile asked.

"I'm fine." I said and she just nod.

"I'll go ahead and start to work work work!" she said in a sing song voice.

I then went to Rick's room to check up on him. But when I went inside my boss is there sitting on the edge of his son's bed. My cheeks immediately goes red because I remembered my dream last night. I feel so guilty. He then look my way and smiled. I bowed my head because I can't look at him. Before, I can't look at him because my head hurts but now it has two reasons and the new reason is very embarrassing. I can't tell anyone about it and it made me miss my friend more. If only Kimberly was reachable I can tell her everything without judging me.

"Hi, there Miss Palma. Good morning." my boss greeted.

"Good morning boss." I said while looking at the ground as if he was there.

"Rick is still sleeping. Once he wake up I need the two of you to get ready. We are going to the airport to pick up my Mom." my boss said and I nod.

"Okay boss. I have to prepare breakfast." I said.

"All right, thank you. I'll just stay here and when he wakes up we will go to the kitchen together." he said.

"Okay, Sir." I said and went outside.

I was a bit nervous knowing that Mrs. Altagracia is coming over. Though I heard positive feedbacks about her. Most of the helpers here says the same thing, that she is a very kind and generous woman. Even Aunt Roberta said so because they know each other and have been friends for decades. I am now preparing breakfast when Cecile came and suddenly bumped my shoulder. I then look at her and give her a questioning look.

"I heard Madam will arrive today." she said.

"Yes, she is. In fact, we will meet her at the airport." I confirmed.

"You know what she is a very generous woman. You're so lucky you will go out with her I'm sure she will buy something for you." she said excitedly while clapping her hands.

"That's embarrassing, Cecile. I will not let her do that." I said.

"No, you can't say no. She will insist and be offended if you will decline." Cecile said.

"Really." I said

"Yes, if you love your job you will accept it heartily otherwise you will be fired." she said threatening me.

"What? Is that true?" I asked surprisingly and Cecile laughed at the way I look.

"Kidding, your reaction was epic. Of course not but she will be offended if you refuse that's for sure." Cecile said while laughing.

She then grabbed a food after teasing me. Cecile is really naughty and playful. After a while, a few minutes when Cecile came out, the father and son went inside the kitchen. Rick was cutely rubbing his with his little hands while his father is carrying him. My heart melted looking at the two. They look so good together, I can't deny the fact that I am physically attracted with my boss. He is undeniably good looking. Everyone would immediately notice his presence.

"Mama!" Rick shouted.

The little boy's face lighten up when he saw me. He then reach out his arms as a sign that he wants me to carry him and I immediately obliged. His father then pass him to me and I then held him in my arms. We look like a family. I smiled at the thought, it's a good thing that it's just the three of us right now. I'm sure if my colleagues are here they will tease us. I just find my boss really cool because he just smile when everyone are teasing us that we two look like a couple and we look good together taking care of Rick.

"Hey there little man, good morning." I said.

"Good." he said as he was kissing my cheek. I laugh because it tickles.

"He was looking for you. He panicked not to see you first thing in the morning." Federico said.

"Really, Sir. Why is that baby boy?" I asked.

"Me scared you will leave." he said.

I was blown away with what the child says because working here is just temporary. I can now anticipate what will happen when the time comes that I had to go back teaching and I need to leave. This is not my profession, I am a teacher not a babysitter. I am now speechless and don't know what to say so I just embraced him tight and kiss him. I accidentally look at my boss and saw his beautiful smile. I quickly look away. There is really something in his smile that I can't tell why it take my breath away.

"Thank you Emily." he suddenly said and held my hand.

"My pleasure boss." I said without looking at him.

"I know it is your job to look after my son since you are his babysitter but you are doing far beyond and I really appreciate it." he sincerely said. I just now because I am out of words plus his hand is tightly holding mine.

He must have noticed the awkward position of my face since he cleared his throat and simply let go of my hand. I act like nothing happened and divert my attention to the child I am babysitting. I put food on his plate and instructed him to eat. I just trained him yesterday how to eat by himself like a grown up man and he is a fast learner. He is now eating like an adult using his utensils perfectly.

"Wow, buddy! You can now eat by yourself." his father looked amazed.

I just remembered he was not here yesterday because he has a meeting so he was not able to witness his child's excellence in eating by his own. I can see the amusement and adoration in his eyes. He looks so proud looking at his boy.

"He just learned that yesterday during lunch. You have a lunch meeting and during dinner you came home late." I explained while he just nod.

"Yeah I missed another half of my life again not to witness another miracle." he said while looking at Rick.

I can see regret in his eyes so I automatically give him a back rub for him to feel better.

"Don't worry as long as you make time to be with him that is the most important I guess." I said while giving him an assurance smile.

"Thank you. I will today and we will spend time together with Mom." he said.

"Oh yeah. I almost forgot. Rick wait for me here, I will just prepare your outfit." I said and hurriedly stand up to head on upstairs but before I could make a move Federico hold my hand.

"You better eat first." he said. I shake my head.

"No, we will be late Sir." I said but he insisted.

"No, you eat first. It's still early." he eagerly said.

It looks like he is determined to make me eat first. As my boss, I need to follow him. So that morning I eat with my employers like we always do. It's a good thing that my coworkers did not feel jealous about my set up in this house. It is very unusual that an employee will eat together with her boss. I am so thankful that I am working for a very kind family with a kind and helpful coworkers as well.
