Emily woke up very early. She don't want to be late for her interview. Aunt Roberta already texted her the address and it is very easy to trace. The village is a famous village in Madrid, the Somosaguas. It is an exclusive residential with luxury standalone villas and it is a home of famous people such as film stars, football players and artists. Rich people such as businessmen also live in that village. So Aunt Roberta's boss is really rich. He is not just an ordinary man. Emily felt a bit nervous. She is now on her way to the station to go to Somosaguas.
Luckily, it did not take long for Emily to get a cab. She is now on her way to the village. It was only a 4 minute ride. She can see luxury on the place. Everywhere she looks, the village shout of elegance and class. She felt a little insecure. This village shows the difference of the people who are living here compared to her. It makes her feel that she is nothing, she’s a nobody. Emily shook her head forcefully and erase the bad thoughts on her mind.
She came out from the car after paying the driver. She then dialed Aunt Roberta's phone to call her. She said the driver will pick her up once she arrives because her boss house is on the last part of the village and aside from that the security is very strict it needs approval from the home owner to let her in. They have a very strict protocol. The old lady pick up after three rings.
"Hello dear Emily. Are you in the village now?" she asked. Emily can hear the sound of a kid and a man laughing on the background. For some unknown reason it made her heart melt and she can't help but smile. She can see the father and son having a good time. "Yes, Auntie. I'm here." Emily replied.
"Fede, she's here." Emily heard Aunt Emily announced. Who is Fede? She thought. Is it her boss? But she should not call her boss on his first name. So it must be the driver. "Okay, Auntie." she heard a man with a baritone voice replied. "Emily, just wait there. I'll accompany the driver because he does not know you okay?" Aunt Roberta said.
"Okay, Auntie. I'll wait here." Emily said then end the call.
After 5 minutes a black limousine parked in front of Emily. While her mouth was slightly opened with eyes widely opened in amusement Aunt Roberta went out of the limousine smiling at her.
“Close your mouth baby girl, a bug might come inside.” She said then laugh. Emily covered her mouth and clear her throat to compose herself. The old lady tapped her shoulder and guide her towards the limousine. When they got inside she can’t help but be mesmerized and amused again.
“Wow!” she exclaimed. Aunt Roberta just smiled and let her be. She did not tease her anymore, she don’t want to embarrass her as the driver is with them.
As they were travelling, Emily was astonished with the architectural design of the houses in the village. Most of it are white bungalow houses and in rectangular shape. They passed on a golf area, a swimming pool, children’s playground which is complete with all playground equipment. It has merry-go-round, teeter-totter or seesaw, monkey bars, steel rings, swings, and slides. Emily thought those are recreation area for home owners and children of home owners. They also passes a marker, grocery store, pharmacy, and a convenience store. They have restaurants and fast-food restaurants. It has a clinic and even clinic for pets. They passed on a spa and salon, also a salon for pets.
Emily can’t help but admire what she is saying loudly and Aunt Roberta just smiles at her every time. Just when Emily thought she seen it all, the view keeps on getting even more and more amazing in her eyes. They are now on a secluded area surrounded with different kinds of trees, flowers, they passed on a butterfly sanctuary, a greenhouse, a fishpond on the center, and a treehouse. After they passed on the treehouse, Emily can see a house on top a hill. She can see from afar it is a two story house no scratch that it is a mansion. A white mansion with glass windows and doors. It is a bit far but she can see the glass windows are sparkling because of sun rays that hitting on it. The house is surrounded with different plants and trees. It has balcony on each room in the second floor. The house has an incredible design that she never seen before. Emily wonders how many people are living in there. It is very huge that even ten to fifteen people would fit to live in such a bizarre house. She can see the fountain in front of the house. Emily can see everything from the top. The limousine they are riding are now going on top heading to the mansion.
“We’re almost there Emily.” Aunt Roberta said which caught Emily’s attention bringing her back to reality. Emily nodded. She felt nervous all of a sudden as the car is approaching in the mansion. After 10 minutes, they arrived in the only mansion in the last part of the subdivision not just the last part but the only one who is on top of a hill. It was like the mansion was intentionally excluded among other houses in that village. The mansion was the only one standing on top of a hill. It is intentionally built on the top like the owner of the mansion says he is on top and the others are just below him. He is the richest, he is the superior.
As the car heads on its way to the elegant gate of the mansion Emily can’t help but to breathe deeply. The beautiful flowers, the fountain, and the rest of the beautiful view can’t help to calm her down.
