Chapter 87: Chapter 87

Sienna Quinn took deep breaths, wondering what might have happened if he hadn’t let her go in time.

The consequences were simply unimaginable for her.

It was just like the scene earlier, so much like that night five years ago.

Landon Lawson lowered his head, once again pressing forward, a blend of unfamiliarity and familiarity.

In his heart, there was a self-mocking smile.

Five years ago, he had disdain for her, five years later, he thought of possessing her endlessly.

It’s truly ironic, but even if it’s ironic, so what?

As long as she was still his, it didn’t matter.

Even if she hated him or blamed him, what of it?

The sudden move left Sienna Quinn at a loss, and before she could react, Landon Lawson was as invasive as a robber.

So reckless, regardless of the consequences, just as domineering as five years ago.

Did he think she was still the same Sienna Quinn from five years ago?

She was no longer that person who could be trampled over, who bore grievances silently.

She wanted to resist, to no longer be oppressed by him.

If she continued to let him do as he pleased, wouldn’t that be just like five years ago, without any change?

Sienna Quinn’s eyes became cold.

Suddenly, the taste of blood filled her mouth, causing Landon Lawson to leave the woman in pain, wiping the fresh blood from the corner of his mouth with a finger.

He lifted his head, looking at Sienna Quinn’s lips, which were adorned with bright red beads of blood.

She had truly changed, now like a rose with thorns, capable of wounding him at any moment, but Landon Lawson preferred being hurt by her rather than having no connection to her at all.

Smack! Another crisp sound rang out, but this time it wasn’t on the man’s hand, but on his cheek.

Five clear finger marks appeared on his face.

"Landon Lawson, don’t go too far." Sienna Quinn panted heavily, her hand that had just slapped the man trembling lightly behind her, in a place where no one could see.

After speaking, she opened the door like someone escaping and ran away.

Landon Lawson stood stunned, that slap waking him up; how could he do such a thing? To act impulsively the moment he saw Sienna Quinn.

This feeling of being out of control felt unfamiliar to Landon Lawson.

But why did he find himself somewhat addicted to that feeling, wanting to hold her in his arms once more?

What kind of magic has this woman learned in these five years, making him lost in it, unable to extricate himself?

Shortly after Sienna Quinn left, Nolan Shaw entered, seeing the blood at the corner of Landon Lawson’s mouth, he rushed over in alarm: "President Lawson, what happened to you? Are you vomiting blood? Did the madam poison you? Even if she resents or hates you, she can’t take your life."

Pulling Landon Lawson outside, Nolan Shaw appeared so worried that he was on the verge of tears.

"Take your hand off me."

Landon Lawson’s expression was not good, as he looked coldly at Nolan Shaw.

"President, it’s just that your mouth is bleeding. If it’s not poison, then—is it the madam... why would she..."

Before he could finish speaking, his voice grew softer, and he sneaked a glance at Landon Lawson, noticing the upward curl of his lips. Could it truly be what he was thinking?

But wasn’t Sienna Quinn not fond of Landon Lawson? Landon Lawson turned his head, his gaze towards Nolan Shaw losing its gentleness.

"Aren’t you going to let go of your hand?"

Seeing this, Nolan Shaw quickly released him, but his expression was still abnormal: "President Lawson... this matter..."

"Don’t tell Vera Yates yet."

Mentioning Vera Yates made Landon Lawson frown; if she found out, she would certainly cry for many days. He had explained to her many times that his feelings for her were nothing more than brotherly, but Vera Yates always avoided this issue. Nolan Shaw nodded; it was better to keep this from her, otherwise who knew how she might torment him. Landon Lawson couldn’t be disturbed by them, but Nolan Shaw dared.

"President Lawson, where are we going?"

Nolan Shaw followed behind Landon Lawson, only to see him smiling without turning, "Buying gifts for the son and wife."

Todd Lowell closely followed Sienna Quinn as she exited, silent since her departure, without uttering a single word.

"Miss Quinn, your conversation with President Lawson..."

"He said he wouldn’t fight me for the son, as long as he could see the child."

Todd Lowell nodded, at least this seemed the best option for both parties to take a step back.

"Have divorce proceedings been filed?"

Sienna Quinn suddenly turned around, her eyes sparkling; she’d never imagined before today that Landon Lawson hadn’t signed the agreement, the agreement he had coveted for so long. Was he refusing to divorce? For what? To torment her?

Todd Lowell nodded; divorce matters had been handled many times.

It was his first time encountering a case like Landon Lawson and Sienna Quinn, the latter staring at Todd Lowell, thinking if divorce could indeed be settled swiftly, it would be better to proceed carefully, given Landon Lawson’s nature.

"Actually, you can file for divorce after two years of separation. If you want to divorce, I’ll do everything to assist you."

Todd Lowell looked earnestly at Sienna Quinn.

"Only two years?" Sienna Quinn murmured lightly, not noticing Todd Lowell’s gaze.

Evan Quinn received a little phone from Sienna Quinn last night, and after getting the phone, he saved Sienna Quinn’s number first, and after thinking for a moment, he saved Landon Lawson’s number next.

He took out the phone, his fingers deftly tapping on it.

"How’s the progress?"

After the text was sent, the reply came back quickly, "Very smoothly."

Seeing those three words, Evan Quinn chuckled softly; he couldn’t let Mommy know about this, lest he face her reprimand later.

The sound of a car horn caught Evan Quinn’s attention, and he looked to see a black car parked at the kindergarten entrance, its window slowly rolling down. Landon Lawson sat inside, beckoning to Evan Quinn.

Evan Quinn walked towards the car, a small hand resting on the car door.

Teacher Cole stood nearby, watching Evan Quinn board Landon Lawson’s car, feeling a bit helpless.

Teacher Cole still remembered the instructions from Sienna Quinn not to let other men near Evan Quinn, but this was Landon Lawson, Evan Quinn’s own father.

Half a two-hour later.

An adult and a little tot sat in a milk tea shop, Evan Quinn holding two cups of milk tea obediently.

"Thank you, sister!" His sweet, soft voice was so endearing, garnering affection from everyone in the shop, whether servers or customers, all very fond of this little one.

Evan Quinn held the two cups of milk tea and, in his little voice, walked towards the man sitting in the corner by the window.

"Here, it’s for you." Evan Quinn placed a cup of milk tea in front of Landon Lawson.

The latter wore sunglasses, covering most of his face, yet despite this, his chiseled features and sharp aura attracted all surrounding light, an undeniable presence. Read full story at novel~fire~net
