Chapter 77: Chapter 77
The man scoffed coldly, "Choosing to work for someone else when you could have lived a cushy life."
The woman’s originally gentle eyes gradually dimmed, "Should I stay by your side and watch you get all cozy with that so-called sister of yours?"
Sienna Quinn interrupted Landon Lawson, this excuse had been used countless times over the years.
"Can’t you come up with some other excuse? I’ve heard this one so many times I could recite it in my sleep."
Sienna mimicked cleaning her ears, showing some impatience.
Landon squinted at the woman who doesn’t appreciate his kindness, his words never seemed to get through to her.
Mentioning Landon, Sienna turned her head, her gaze towards the man was icy, "Landon, our relationship ended with that divorce agreement. From now on, stay away from me and Chloe, we don’t want anything further to do with you."
Landon chuckled lightly, "Sienna, how is it possible that my own son wouldn’t be tied to me anymore?"
The woman’s eyelashes trembled slightly, her heart stopped for three seconds; the thing she feared the most had indeed happened.
"Are you joking? Your son? Where is your son?" Sienna pretended to look around, shaking her head and shrugging helplessly.
"President Lawson, I don’t see your so-called son here."
Seeing the woman making a fuss, it seemed like she wasn’t planning on telling the truth.
With arms crossed, his gaze amusingly landed on Evan Quinn standing at the podium.
"Don’t you think that little kid looks a lot like me?"
"Like? In what way? I think President Lawson is desperate for a son. Maybe you should go find Actress Vance to have one, instead of being interested in someone else’s child."
Sienna mocked, her indifferent gaze fixed on the man.
Landon stared directly at the woman, his eyes narrowing gradually, as his gaze traveled downward to her hands clutching the hem of her clothes; he smirked.
Sienna appeared calm and aloof, but the way she was gripping the fabric betrayed her inner turmoil.
"Then, look at this – does it seem alike?"
Landon handed a document to Sienna, his squinted eyes were full of interest, as if he was trying to see right through her.
Holding the document, her fingers pressed tightly, turning pale from the force, trying to suppress her fear and anxiety.
Paternity test results!
How? How could this happen?
Sienna’s expression changed drastically. When did Landon take Evan for testing and how did she not know?
Was it... that time at the hospital?
Sienna’s face showed a myriad of emotions, then she coldly sneered, returned the paternity test results to Landon, her expression was full of disdain, "President Lawson, what can’t you do? You stole plans, and this report might just be forged as well. President Lawson, have you not forgotten about me all these years, thinking to win me back with means ? Just, President Lawson, your taste truly is unique, liking playing dad this much?" This text is hosted at novel_fіre.net
Sienna stubbornly refused to acknowledge it; delaying it one day was one day. Even if Landon found out, she would never admit it because if he did, he’d definitely fight with her for custody.
Chloe was definitely not to be handed over to him, absolutely not; her small fists were clenched tightly.
Landon squinted, smiled faintly, and put away the paternity test report, "Since you believe it’s fake, let’s find a day to do it again."
"Why would my son need to be tested with you?" Sienna squinted, pursing her lips to control her fear.
"Simply because I suspect he’s my son!"
Both pairs of eyes narrowed slightly, neither willing to back down, sharp gazes bursting through narrowed slits.
"Mommy... what are you doing?"
A soft voice sounded in her ear, Evan’s big eyes stared blankly at the two of them, filled with confusion.
Sienna coughed lightly, holding him in her arms, "Nothing, you were reading so well just now."
"Well? So many children reading together, how could you hear anything?" Evan rolled his eyes, not believing such a childish lie.
The little one squinted, sensing there was something fishy going on between the two.
Teacher Cole looked around at the parents and children, "Let’s end today’s parent meeting here. I hope all the moms and dads can spend more time with their children in the future."
Evan walked ahead with his little backpack, occasionally glancing back at the two behind him who seemed off, humming to himself. The adult world really is troublesome.
The two were walking shoulder to shoulder, the woman pursed her lips, "President Lawson, playing dad isn’t quite fitting for you, just go on and enjoy your love affair with your sister."
The woman scoffed coldly, grabbed Evan’s hand and walked away.
A somewhat greasy voice sounded in her ear, Sienna paused, turned around to see a family of three just exiting the classroom.
Sienna’s eyebrows furrowed slightly; the man who spoke seemed unfamiliar to her.
"You’re his mom, right? Your son hit my son and didn’t even apologize, what kind of parent are you?"
Nate’s father scoffed coldly, looking Sienna up and down, with a lustful gaze that made her uncomfortable.
"Great figure, looking at your outfit, you must be kept by some big boss in a company."
Sienna frowned, glanced at Nate’s mother who looked a bit awkward, and understood the situation.
"If you’re dissatisfied, we can meet in court." Sienna didn’t want to deal with this kind of person, turning to leave.
Suddenly, the middle-aged man stepped forward and grabbed Sienna’s wrist.
Sienna’s eyes flared in anger, she forcefully pulled back her hand.
The middle-aged man sniffed his hand with relish, murmuring in a trance, "So smooth, so tender, being young is great."
Seeing the man’s greasy face, Sienna felt disgusted, but before she could speak, a sturdy arm wrapped around her, pulling her into an embrace.
"Looks like you’re very interested in my wife, it seems you really should talk to my lawyer." With piercing eyes, Landon’s gaze swept across, frightening the middle-aged man who trembled slightly.
For some reason, he always felt uncomfortable when stared at by Landon.
"Hmph! Do you know who I am?"
Landon mocked, looking at him.
Sienna was held in Landon’s arms, turned her head to look at the man’s stern face.
Was he protecting her?
Knowing him for so many years, it was the first time she was held in his arms .
This unfamiliar feeling was something she anxiously awaited five years ago.
Sienna shook her head with a bitter smile; this feeling really came too late, only too late.
