Chapter 149: Chapter 149
After reading each of the Evolution Paths descriptions, I made my decision. I chose the Sealed Indestructible Primordial Horned Giant Dung Beetle Evolution Path and its requirements weren’t that difficult to meet. All he needed was to obtain a large quantity of Regal Gold, at least planet sized. This metal is said to be indestructible and extremely valuable, often called Divine Metal by Blacksmiths.
He also had to obtain Sealing Metal of large quantity and finally, he had to enter a Defence type Realm Heart, meaning that in this Realm, its aboriginals prioritised defence over everything. It sounded easy enough and Zixin started to prepare and checked the Guild Market through his watch. There was Regal Gold and Sealing Iron but there wasn’t any Realm Heart for sale. Zixin first checked just how much of these two he would require if they had to be planet sized and was shocked to see so many zeros.
"Twenty four...twenty four zeros...So two septillion kilograms of metal, one septillion for each..." he muttered to himself and checked the prices of the two metals. The Sealing Metal was much cheaper than Regal Gold.
A 1kg of Sealing Metal was sold for one thousand GP while a 1kg of Regal Gold was sold for one million GP, an extremely insane price. Meaning that Zixin had to spend one octillion GP for Sealing Metal and one nonillion GP for Regal Gold respectively.
The total money Zixin had was just barely above 2 septillion GP, money he made from the auction and now, the money he needed was many times greater than this and he’d thought that he was already rich.
’I guess I’ll have to visit the library to find more legacies to sell but I doubt even that would be enough for me to buy these two metals, not to mention the Realm Heart which is basically priceless at this point.’ thought Zixin and no longer continued to meditate but left his room instead after collecting all his insects and putting them in the Heart Space.
Outside the doors, the old couple stood up when Zixin came out and looked like something was bothering him.
"Call the girls, we’re going to the Capital City so tell them to take all their belongings because we won’t be coming back here for some time." said Jace and by the time he left the mansion, everyone was prepared to leave with him. He took out the whistle and blew it. He didn’t have to wait long before someone came to his aid and it was a maidservant with feathery wings.
"I wish to go to the Capital City." said Zixin without wasting time.
"Which Capital City?" the maidservant asked.
"The Capital City with the largest library this place has to offer."
"Ah, then that would be the Agen City." said the maid and took out what seemed to be a mat with a magic formation drawn on it and the magic formation had the name ’Agen’ written at the centre and placed it on the ground.
"Everyone, please stand on the mat." she said and everyone did as they were told and stepped on the mat, she too stood with them. And after a minute or so, the magic formation on the mat lit up and everyone disappeared. The mat turned into nothing after everyone had disappeared.
Everyone then reappeared inside a beautiful gazebo with a sweet scent of flowers and comfy seats.
"Please take a seat as I prepare a carriage for you. In the meantime, have some tea." said the maidservant who pulled out a table cloth from her sleeve, snapped her fingers and a cup and teapot with hot water inside appeared in the air and she poured the water into the tea cup. teFrom the gazebo, bees flew over and dropped honey dew into the teacup and voalà, tea was ready.
It was Zixin’s first time witnessing such applications of Magic and he was impressed by even such a simple act. The maidservant then left in a hurry.
"Can all of you also do this?" asked Zixin while drinking tea. The old couple shook their heads but Anita and Lillian nodded.
"What she just used is called Mundane Magic or Day-to-Day Magic, whatever one prefers to call it and only those living in a safe environment learn such magic, as for the rest of us, we learn Combat or Battle Magic. I can do a few basic Mundane Spells but I’m not that good." said Anita.
"Isn’t the Url Kingdom a safe place or the other cities and kingdoms?"
"No, that’s not true safety. This place is true safety. In the Url Kingdom and other places, anything can happen. One minute you’re strong and the next minute, someone stronger comes to kill you or sell you as a slave. So why waste time on useless magic instead of practicing my Spells. A difference in environments leads to different lifestyles." explained Anita.
"I see." said Zixin thoughtfully as he continued to drink his tea. Soon, the maidservant came back with a gold and white carriage, pulled by unicorns. She was sitting with the coachman and quickly got off when she arrived.
"My Lord, the carriage is ready, we can depart anytime you want." said the maid.
"First introduce yourself and give me a refill before we leave. This tea is delicious." said Zixin.
"My humble name is Dorothy and I was assigned to serve you with everything you need and want by Her Majesty the Queen." said Dorothy while performing a curtsy then made another cup of tea for him. After drinking the tea, everyone boarded the carriage and it left the gazebo. This carriage didn’t have a bed inside like it was a portable house but a normal and standard carriage.
The journey was also smooth since the road was paved. Looking through the window, all Zixin saw was flowers and trees and immediately got bored. Just as he was about to fall asleep, he sensed something with his antennae and ordered it to come to his location which it did. Since the carriage wasn’t moving very fast, whatever insect Zixin had called quickly entered the carriage through the open window and everyone looked over.
