Chapter 104: Chapter 104
When Chris woke up, he was on the floor and an old man with kind smile had his hand on his chest. The old man’s eyes were closed but it seem he could see perfectly fine. Chris knew who this old man was and he was his role model.
"Bishop Mayers, it’s an honour to meet you again Sir." said Chris with deep reference and fanatism.
"Oh child, it is my honour to meet you. Your faith on the Lord didn’t go unnoticed. You’re a Light Bringer and a very important asset to the Holy Church. Hence you shall be leaving this place with me to return to the Dome. Even the Pope wants to meet with you, your light was just too resplendent not to be noticed." said Bishop Mayers.
Christopher was so elated that he was completely out of words. He’d just met his role model and was now told that he was going to meet the Pope whom he was fanatic about. For him, this was truly a dream come true.
"Pack your stuff, we leave in an hour." said Bishop Mayers. Chris nodded and was about to go and pack when he remembered something very important.
"Bishop, before we leave, there’s someone I want to say goodbye to, is that okay?" asked Chris nervously.
"Don’t be nervous. It’s good that you remembered the person close to you and didn’t just leave without saying goodbye. Hael will accompany you."
A knight fully clad in golden armour with the word "Protect" on his cape stepped forward. He exuded immerse strength and Holy power that was almost on the same level as that of Bishop Mayers. Chris nodded and immediately left, Hael just followed behind without saying anything. Chris stopped a carriage and entered then told the horseman where he was headed.
Arriving at the Adventurers Guild building, Chris didn’t immediately enter but turned too look at Hael with a nervous and conflicted expression.
"Would you be so kind as to wait for me here?" he asked and Hael simply nodded and stood by the door like a security guard.
"Thank you." said Chris before entering the building and took an elevator to the second floor.
When Chris entered the apartment, Zixin was doing push ups and was half naked and covered in sweat.
"Ah, Chris, what a pleasant surprise. What brings you here?" asked Zixin with a smile. Read full story at 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵✶𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮✶𝓷𝓮𝓽
"I figured out something with the Vassal thing..." Chris then began to explain to Zixin all that had happened yesterday without leaving out anything. Hearing this information, Zixin’s breathing became uneven as his face couldn’t hide his excitement.
"Hahaha, good job! Good job! You’ve done stunningly well and for that, you deserve a reward. Here, take these, they make it easier to learn spells or memorize and completely understand knowledge." Zixin gave Chris a three hundred Bookworms, a hundred for each rank and explained clearly to him how each was used. Chris was internally shocked that such magical worms actually existed.
"When you reach Rank 6, I’ll come to you. Now you can go, there’s a lot of stuff I gotta do." said Zixin and pulled the man out of his house and locked the door. Chris stood at the door for a long time before walking away in large strides. Since he hadn’t gotten a chance to thank Zixin now, he figured he’d thank him the next time they met.
Chris then left the building and Hael hadn’t moved from his spot, in fact, he hadn’t moved at all and some had people had mistaken him for an armour display by some blacksmith.
Once Chris had left, Zixin immediately set up his tent then entered it with enthusiasm. He first took out a Fire Fly and it landed on his palm. Its abdomen had a little of the light it had devoured from Chris.
[Transform!] But he didn’t immediately transform. In his mind, three options appeared which he had to choose from. There was Partial Transformation, Complete Transformation and Humanoid Transformation and after choosing, every time he transformed, it would be a transformation he chose now unless he specified which transformation he wanted.
[Partial Transformation!]
The Fire Fly turned into a mote of light that entered his chest at an alarming speed and after that, Zixin started to transform. His lower body was that of the Fire Fly without the head and wings. His torso was human, wings grew on his back and his six arms had turned into sharp claws.
His transformation was similar to that Tiger, who had the lower body of a tiger, a human torso and a tiger’s head but Zixin’s head wasn’t that of the Firefly.
With a thought, he returned to normal and he didn’t feel any pain, weak, tired, drained or with any side effects. Zixin then took out some of his Rank 3 Gu that were equipped for battle. It was a giant centipede that was 1.5 meters long, a red praying mantis with razor sharp forearms, the was also a vampire spider, a killer ant, Baby Poldi, a giant hornet, a killer bee and a wasp.
When he transformed with the praying mantis, his lower body was that of the the abdomen of the praying mantis with its four legs, his torso was still that of a human but his six arms had turned into razor sharp forearms with immense strength and defence. He above around two meters tall and exuded bloodlust and Killing Intent. Some of his Innate Abilities had loosened a little bit.
’I can probably take on a Four Star Mages and Rank 4 beings.’ he thought. For the giant centipede, his only option was Complete Transformation and he’d turned into a five meters long giant centipede with Rank 4 combat power. With all his other Rank 3 Gu, they had Rank 4 combat power and he could even add other Gu to his already transformed body.
For Baby Poldi, he chose Human Transformation and he didn’t change much. He only grew blue fur all over his body and his hands turned into claws, his head was that of an eyeless spider with long and curved fangs. His physical strength though was off the charts, strength, speed, power and weight that maxed out. He was absolutely certain that he could take on a Rank 5 being or Five Star Mage.
’Hahaha, finally, I’m no longer weak and helpless. I can now protect myself to a certain extent.’
