Chapter 1942: Chapter 1942
As soon as these words were spoken, Hu Ji, Heiya, and Saio all turned their eyes to Chu Zha. The other party also felt embarrassed, but even zombies have some face. Chu Zha immediately got angry and said, "Why are you all looking at me? Why don’t you say what can be gifted?"
The three zombies remained silent, each of them turning their heads away. They couldn’t think of anything the Royal Court could offer. Seeing their expressions, Chu Zha chuckled proudly and added, "Why don’t we just draw some old pupils from the mother nest and give them to her? If she doesn’t accept, let Ha Zhen whip up a batch of active weapons for Su Sigui’s army to optimize her forces."
At this moment, Heiya retorted indignantly, "What kind of lousy idea is that? It’s better not to give anything at all!"
Equipping an entire army with active weapons seems extravagant, but what does it matter how well-armed a military is? In front of the Zombie King, aren’t they as fragile as clay dolls, ready to break at the slightest touch?
Compared to the Divine God Armor that could enable a Level 8 New Human to have the ability to restrain the Zombie King, these things still seem too paltry.
"Then what do you suggest?"
"Don’t ask me, your daddy doesn’t know."
Listening to the bickering of the surrounding zombies, Tang Ye suddenly raised his hand to silence them all.
"Stop it, all of you."
Just as Chu Zha suggested equipping Su Sigui’s army with active weapons, Tang Ye suddenly recalled the scene from a while back when Su Sigui used her rib as a weapon to deal with those few radiated species trying to destroy the Siphon Tower. At that moment, he came up with a good idea.
"Boss... you have an idea?"
"Don’t ask, just go get the box." Saying this, a highly mysterious smile appeared on Tang Ye’s face.
Two hundred kilometers from the Cloud Gorge Base, in an old factory on the outskirts of a small town from the old era.
A beam of light from a flashlight suddenly lit up in the darkness, shining into the pitch-black factory. For a moment, countless pairs of scarlet eyes looked over.
"Someone found their way here," a hoarse voice spoke, addressing the man with a thick scent of blood, piercing and eerie in the dark, like the whispers of a devil.
But the man showed no fear. When he tried to press the nearby switch and found that the factory’s power system was completely damaged, he gave up, simply turning his gaze towards the direction of the hoarse voice and said in a low voice, "I know your master is here, let him come out."
"Master?" The hoarse voice carried a hint of doubt, and the man leisurely explained, "I think you should know the term ’Zombie King’, let him come out. You don’t have to hide anything from me, I know he’s somewhere watching me."
The man’s words were astonishing, yet the hoarse voice fell silent. Soon, a young voice came from another direction, "An interesting guest has arrived. May I ask what you want from me?"
The man directed the flashlight towards the voice’s direction and quickly saw a handsome, foreign-looking teenager standing on the second floor of the factory, dressed in a neatly tailored suit, holding a gentleman’s cane, looking at him with a half-smile.
This individual was none other than the Radiation Zombie King, Ryle, who had just concealed himself in this place!
He, too, was puzzled as to how someone found him and knew precisely where he was!
Yes, the man with the flashlight was indeed a human, not some non-human creature. Ryle could clearly see the internal structure of this man’s body, along with all his color compositions, unlike a mutated form disguised as human that even Tang Ye, the Zombie King, couldn’t see through. What was strange, though, was that this man gave him a very odd feeling.
It was as if he had encountered something repulsive, making Ryle instinctively uncomfortable.
But... this person was just an ordinary human, so why did he evoke such a feeling?
Ryle couldn’t help but grow curious about this man, and with this curiosity, there was an underlying scheming at play. The man wasn’t aware that the clothes on Ryle’s back had changed colors, with tiny tendrils extending and swaying. Before long, the man noticed something amiss and, touching his nose, found an unstoppable nosebleed, while the skin on his arm began to decay, a severe itch spreading throughout his entire body!
He knew that the state of his body was undoubtedly the work of Ryle, the Zombie King, but he paid it no mind. Despite the discomfort, he remained unfazed and, addressing Ryle, said, "I want you to do something for me."
His tone carried a hint of command, almost making Ryle burst into laughter, as he found the man’s confident demeanor laughably absurd!
"You want me to do something for you?"
"Is this how you ask for a favor? Buddy, that’s no way to ask for help."
"I’m not asking you." Within a few seconds, the blood flowing from his nose had already dampened the collar of the man’s shirt, but, unfazed, he calmly took out a folded piece of paper from his pocket and handed it to Ryle’s direction.
Ryle, somewhat puzzled, eventually jumped down from the second floor, took the paper from the man, and opened it to find it was a satellite image of the whole Cloud Gorge Base, with a prominent red ’X’ marked on it!
"Hmm?" Ryle hummed doubtfully, and the man quickly said, "You have one objective: destroy the building I’ve marked and kill everyone above and below ground."
Hearing this, Ryle sneered, then said to the man in a somewhat sinister tone, "Buddy, I don’t like your tone very much. This laughable goal, I won’t do it. I only guarantee that you’ll die a miserable death next."
The man listened expressionlessly to Ryle’s threats. Once the other finished speaking, he tilted his head back and swallowed the blood that had flowed from his nose, calmly stating, "You will do it."
"Alright, then let’s make a bet? Will I be the one to kill you, or will I help you with these tasks?" Google seaʀᴄh 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡•𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚⚫𝙣𝙚𝙩
The man’s answer caught Ryle off guard. This level of calm in the face of the threat of death puzzled him. This might be the most frustrating thing Ryle encountered since arriving in China. He didn’t want to say anything more to this man, as his presence gave him no sense of pleasure and was merely a disturbance!
A disturbingly unpleasant interference for the zombie!
