Chapter 144: Chapter 144

Cheng Qingsu squinted her eyes, indifferently watching the strangers in the corridor.

From them, Cheng Qingsu felt a surge of evil Qi.

"They’ve arrived so quickly! Truly worthy of being M country’s most powerful and mysterious special force!" Cheng Qingsu sneered to herself.

Upon seeing Cheng Qingsu, the people in the corridor gave her a cold glance, then looked around warily at other strangers, but strangely, they did not immediately make a move.

"A bunch of cowards!" she muttered under her breath and entered the room.

As the door shut, Cheng Qingsu stood outside the bathroom and said, "Liyong, some strangers have come outside. Do not go out alone without me."

"Mhm," came Chen Liyong’s voice from inside the bathroom.

Pulling out two black Desert Eagles and loading the bullets, Cheng Qingsu carefully checked them over, a cold smile hanging on her beautiful face as she looked towards the direction of the door.

She was completely unaware that a yellow "Yellow Paper Mantis" was hiding in a corner, observing her every move.

Time, like water, silently flowed by.

In the night sky, thick clouds massed, leaving not a speck of moonlight.

Zhang Xiaohao spat out a chicken bone, took a sip of ’82 Lafite red wine, and through the Yellow Paper Mantis, he observed every action inside Cheng Qingsu’s room.

"Interesting! It seems my little aunt has quite the hidden depths!" Zhang Xiaohao murmured.

Withdrawing his gaze, his Soul Power swept out, taking in the situation outside.

Zhang Xiaohao said, "It’s already around ten o’clock, these guys sure are patient! They should be making their move soon, I guess!"

Zhang Xiaohao had barely finished speaking when the lights in the room suddenly went out at that moment.

"Here they come!" Zhang Xiaohao said with a cold laugh.

The door was kicked open from the outside, and a dozen black figures, clutching Desert Eagles and brimming with a murderous aura, rushed in.

"Die!" Zhang Xiaohao said calmly. Thıs text ıs hosted at 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡•𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚⚫𝙣𝙚𝙩

With a wave of his right hand, a golden light twinkled in his palm as a dozen playing cards shot out.

The playing cards, as if possessed by eyes, hit the Tianling acupoints of the dozen or so assailants.

With unwillingness and a sense of disbelief, the first dozen to rush in died.

After dealing with them, Zhang Xiaohao stood up from the sofa.

With a slight move, he was already at the door.

Just as a few Assassins rushed over from outside, Zhang Xiaohao let fly a few slaps, knocking them out. He grabbed their bodies and casually threw them into the room, then hid behind the door himself.

Rustle, rustle, rustle...

A dense series of footsteps sounded from outside.

A large group of Assassins, followed by men in black, charged in first.

Seeing the people in the room, they subconsciously identified them as the "targets" of the mission, furiously attacking them.

Seizing the opportunity, Zhang Xiaohao’s figure blurred, and he was already out of the room.

The dark corridor was pitch-black, where one couldn’t see their hand in front of their face.

But for Zhang Xiaohao, this was no different from broad daylight.

Taking advantage of the chaos, Zhang Xiaohao left the corridor and stood at the end, looking at the swarming mass of Assassins and men in black rushing madly towards his own room with a scornful expression.

"You all just dogfight amongst yourselves here! When you’re worn out, I’ll come to clean up the mess." Saying this, Zhang Xiaohao indifferently concealed himself in the darkness.

Watching them slaughter each other, he kept tabs on every move upstairs through Yellow Paper Mantis.

"Holy shit! Does my sister-in-law have to be this fierce? That’s way too intense!" Zhang Xiaohao exclaimed in shock.

From the images sent by Yellow Paper Mantis.

A dark silhouette with hands like white-jade held a sharp short sword in each, the blades dancing around her, turning her into a human meat grinder. Wherever she went, no one lived, each neck severed with a single, fatal slash.

Although there were many assassins upstairs, there were no formidable opponents! With her skills, she was more than capable of handling them.

Seeing this, Zhang Xiaohao’s lifted heart finally settled down. He withdrew his gaze and tasked Yellow Paper Mantis to keep an eye on his sister-in-law’s actions, standing in the darkness, watching the unwelcome guests dogfight in the corridor.

Sounds of killing, furious roars, and wailing like ghosts and howling like wolves crazily erupted from the corridor.

As time wore on, not only did their numbers not decrease, but they actually increased even more.

"Hmm? Interesting, a strong fighter from Hundred Veins Realm has arrived; the show is getting more and more exciting," Zhang Xiaohao suddenly said with a mischievous smile, sensing another group coming as his Soul Power stirred and he touched his nose.

Scampering footsteps increased rapidly as the third wave of people hurried over.

Leading them was a blond old crone with two huge cross-shaped scars on her face, leaning on a cane, looking like some kind of grotesque monster.

Standing at the top of the stairs, the ugly old crone gave a cold glance at the two groups of people killing each other.

"Kill! Not one left alive!" said the ugly old crone, murderous intent in her voice.

"Yes, my lord!" A group of mysterious people respectfully answered from behind her.

The more than fifty people she brought transformed, each displaying characteristics of wild beasts on their bodies.

After the transformation, the mysterious people moved like executioners, silent as the grave. They rushed forward, palms striking out, killing those in the corridor.

The two sides were not on the same level at all. Despite the assassins and men in black being well-trained, they wore down quickly under the slaughter of the mysterious people. Even teaming up did not help them withstand the massacre.

The battle started quickly and ended just as swiftly.

The men in black joined the fight and, in less than five minutes, the people sent by the assassins’ guild and the men in black were all cleanly executed by the mysterious people who arrived later.

Bodies littered the corridor, and the thick scent of blood was like a river, emitting a pungent stench.

"Reporting to my lord, they have all been slain, not one left alive," a mysterious person reported.

"Hmm, the person targeted by the assassins’ guild for a bounty kill is also dead?" the ugly old crone asked.

"To answer my lord, they are dead."

"Good! Follow me," the old crone nodded.

Leading the people, she rushed upstairs.

After they left, Zhang Xiaohao emerged from the darkness.

He gave a glance at the direction they left with a cold smile on his lips, then lightly floated after them.

A group of assassins and men in black were in retreat under Cheng Qingsu’s violent slashes, with limbs and bodies strewn across the floor.

"It’s your turn now. Dare to mess with this lady? Off to hell you go!" Cheng Qingsu huffed coldly.

With a tap of her ankle boot on the ground, she was about to rush at the few remaining men.

Just then, dense footsteps came from downstairs.

The remaining assassins hadn’t even registered what was happening when they were already cut down by the mysterious people surging up from below.

The crowd split, and the ugly old crone with a walking stick coldly made her way up.

"So you’ve come anyway!" Cheng Qingsu said coldly, looking at them.
