Tasha had just returned from the hospital, where the doctor had just given her the news of her pregnancy, there was a light in her eyes as she touched her stomach, replaying the doctor's words in her head, perhaps, this child will make Dave love her, he would finally look at her as his beloved wife and not a substitute for his runaway bride, she loves Dave but she loves his money more and she won't give up on any of them, she can't wait for him to return so she could give him the news, she got changed and wore her best gown for him, she just finished applying makeup when she heard his car drove in, soon she heard his footsteps, she put on a smile and went to him, hugging him, he pushed her away from him, eyeing her like a plague, Tasha felt hurt but quickly masked it, he would soften when he heard her news.

Dave eyed her coldly, he felt disgusted by her sight but like a leech, she wouldn't let him be, he wondered why she was so dressed up, he got inside and removed his suit, his business was slowly winding down and the thought of going bankrupt scared him, his dad had given him that business to test his capabilities, he had often ran into debt and his dad had always bailed him out, the last time he had gone to him, his dad had told him that was the last time and Dave had readily agreed, but now, the same story was happening over again and all Tasha could think of was more ways of spending the money, he felt irritated and annoyed just at the sight of her.

She placed his favorite drink in front of him and sat opposite him, she cleared her throat and he glanced at her, "I visited the hospital" she paused but he only grunted in reply and poured a drink into his glass. "I am pregnant" Dave paused the wine glass he was about to put on his lips, his expression looked like he has just been punched, "what did you say?" He sounded as if he didn't hear her, maybe his hearing played a prank on him.

Tasha smiled nervously but in anticipation, "the doctor said I am four weeks pregnant"

"Who's responsible?" He asked coldly and Tasha frowned in confusion, how could he be asking her who the father of her child was, "you are the father of cause"

He stood up slowly and walked towards her menacingly, Tasha moved back, eyes widened in fear, Dave was going to still hurt her even after knowing she was pregnant, he cornered her to a wall and held her by the throat, "should I remind you that you had sex with my friends?"

Her lips quivered as she recalled that painful event, her eyes glistened, "you forced them on me Dave"

Dave snarled and raised his hand as if to hit her and her knees buckled, she closed her eyes ready for the blow, but he suddenly let her go and she fell on her knees, "I won't father that bastard you're carrying, it's not mine".

Pain reverberated through her body, squeezing her lungs and she gasp for breath, she had thought this pregnancy would bring him closer to her but she had been mistaken, she quickly held his knee as he made to walk away, "Dave, it's your flesh and blood, believe me when I say that the baby is yours"

Dave kicked her grasp away from his knees and walked to where he placed his drink, he swallowed it in one gulp, "I'm already pregnant Dave, there's nothing you can do, you have to accept it"

Dave stared at her broodingly, "abort it" he said before walking out of the house.

Derek stopped by the hospital and handed the remaining juice to the doctor so as to know if the juice was actually poisoned, he waited for over an hour before the doctor came out with the result, "we found traces of the same poison found in her blood in the drink, I can assure you that your wife got poisoned through this drink"

Derek's blood ran cold at what the doctor had just disclosed, Kathleen had been poisoned through the drink, he had a nagging feeling that Nicole was behind it, although he wasn't ruling Marcella out completely. Still, Geoffrey had explained to him how Nicole had acted the day that Mary touched her purse, he wondered if she just acted weird or if she had something to hide, he would have to find out.
