Chapter 30: Chapter 30
Entering their house, she found her mother waiting for her.
She sat on the sofa while watching television.
"Good evening mom, I'm sorry I came home a little late, I was just taken care of at the office. I went through this paperwork at Paul's house because we need it tomorrow for the promotion of the employees." An explanation of this, she never waited for her mom to asked her why she came home late.
She didn't even wait for her mom to speak and ask where she was from. She knew that she was going to ask the same question, so she answered it first.
Her mother smiled at her then pinched her nose.
"Ma!" she rebuked her as if she was bored of her mother's child.
"You know how to make excuses, ahh? You already know what I'm going to ask you. You seem to have memorized it." She even pinched her jokingly.
"I knew it mom, you've been asking me that every day when I arrive late? Of course I already know that." She then leaned back in her chair. She raised her leg and then went to bed.
"You look so tired really. Is Paul's house going to die? It's like you walked a few miles away." It was her mom's comment.
Suddenly she felt ashamed of her mother's question. She knew why ahe was so tired. She didn't show it anymore, but she was just her mother and noticed even the smallest things about her.
"I'm just a little stressed. Paul doesn't have a business meeting abroad, he's not been in the office for a month or more, so I'm doing a lot. " her defense only half-true.Because that's not the real reason why she was tired that day.
As much as possible, she didn't want her mother to know that she and Storm were in the same office. She knew how to worry her mom when Storm was in question. She knew and she saw how much she was hurt then.
"How are you and Paul? How are your wedding preparations?" It parted her hair, blown by the wind coming from the veranda.
"It's okay ma. The organizer is busy. He'll only give an update when we need approval. For now, we'll let him do his part first." She looked at her mom to calm down any negatives she could think of.
"It's good that way, Ash. I'm always paying attention to his meetings abroad. Your wedding is approaching. Shouldn't you be focused on your wedding?" A query from her mom that she can't answer.
"Mom, you know Paul, he won't go somewhere as long as he knows he can still do something. The wedding is still far away, and there are people in charge of arranging it. They'll call. we do when something needs to be fixed. " She smiled as proof that everything was okay.
"It's good then. It's really different when the married person is rich. You don't have to move to exert efgort to have a good marriage. You can leave it to others. But sAsh, you should always remember that the most important thing in a marriage is how the bride feels. How happy they are and how much they will keep their vows before the altar. " Her mother held her hands.
She smiled a sweet, sweet smile that was bitter inside. Bitter because she knew one of the things her mother said was not in her future marriage.
"Don't worry Ma, Paul and I will be happy. We will be good to each other. You and Dad will be like us, who, until the end, loved each other. " she hugged her and then kissed her on the forehead.
After they talked, they ate. She helped her mother with the evacuation and then she went up to her room.
She dropped the body on the bed after she took a bath. While lying down, she could still feel the heat of Storm's body sticking to hee body. She could feel its warm kisses traveling through her body.
She just bit her lip as she recalled the moment of happiness they shared that she didn't know what the outcome would be.
The next morning, she woke up early. She didn't understand, but she felt excited about entering the office.
She bathed and dressed. She went down to eat as usual before going to work.
While she was in the kitchen, her mother looked at her in surprise.
It circled a few times in her seat before she spoke.
"Mom, I'm sick of you. Can you please stop? Don't start me again with your activities. " she looks angry at her mom as she smiled.
"You know, Ashy, I'm the one who's dizzy with you." She looked at the calendar on top of their refrigerator.
"Why? What does that have to do with anything?" she asked while pointing at the mother's hand.
"All I know is Ashy, it's Saturday and you're not supposed to go in the office. Don't tell me that you have overtime because it's not allowed in your office. Now tell me. Why are you dressed like that? " Her mother was able to smile while pointing at her office clothes.
She let go of the fork she was holding and quickly went upstairs to her room to get dressed. When she returned, she was already at her home outfit.
"What happened to my daughter? Why are you floating?" asked the mother, who was already sitting down, to accompany her to eat.
"No, the date here on my phone is just wrong so I'm confused. Don't make that a big deal, ma." She stared at her mother, who was then suppressing a laugh while eating.
"Because your aura is different now, Ash. It looks like you're having fun now. You know, I can see you are happy, but it's really different now. Is there anything I should know?" She asked deliberately.
She just smiled. If possible, she does not want to speak. She doesn't want to take the lead in whatever might happen.
"Nothing. Maybe it's just how it feels when the wedding is near. You know that with each passing day, it's like the duration giving me too much excitent.." Suddenly, she said.
Later, their companion came to the house.
"Sister, you have a visitor." She says.
"Who?" She asked in surprise. She did not expect any visitors. If it was Paul, their housemate knew him and he hadn't come home yet because it had been less than two weeks since he left.
"I don't know my sister, I just saw him now. He's a man, and he's handsome." She replied that the trembling was obvious on her face.
She was suddenly nervous. Who could that be? Ahe didn't even want to think that there was only one thing running through her mind at those times. She knew her mom was looking at her. She avoids looking at her.
"All right, just let him in." She answered this and let us see who the guest she was talking about was.
She had just taken her first step into the living room when she saw Storm entering the door. He was very handsome wearing a polo-shirt and jeans. The former is simple but very powerful. He was carrying two bunches of flowers.
Ashy frowned as she looked at him.
"Goodmorning! It's too early." He then handed her a bunch of flowers.
Later, her mother came over.
"For you. Good morning." He greeted the lady with a bunch of flowers.
Ashy's mother accepted it and then thanked him.
"Mom, Storm..."
"I know. He looks a bit mature, but I still know him. How are you?" Her mother asked and then pointed to the chair so they could sit down.
"It's okay, how are you too? You're not getting old ahh." It's a joke on the lady.
"It's also getting older. It's not like before. Now there are only limited things that can be done." She smiled at him as if he was comfortable talking to her.
She really felt those times that she wasn't what Storm meant. After all, he didn't even talk to her. Her mother is the one he talks to most often.
She said goodbye to prepare something to eat while they talked. She turned to Storm's seat and saw how it would stare at her and follow his gaze.
She was suddenly embarrassed wearing her short. She knew that Storm hated that. It was too late when she realized that thing. She can't go up suddenly to change her clothes. Naturally, her mom will be surprised.
She just ignored the look. She will only use the opportunity to annoy him even more.
When she returned, she found them laughing.
"Chill first," she offers them.
"Thank you," he said, his face tense.
"Ohh he's Storm because I still have work to do. Next time we'll talk again, huh? I'll miss you first. You're the daugther who will take care of Storm. I'll bring those flowers so I can arrange them in the vase.Goodbye" mother said was carrying flowers.
"All right," he smiled before they finally left.
"Your mom is funny. We just talked for a long time. You know, we didn't have a chance to talk then." He looked at her. Its expression changed after he looked at her from top to bottom.
"You're not funny!" Answer it.
"Why? What did I do?" taught himself to pretend to know nothing.
"What are you doing here? "Are you kidding? " she stared at him
