Chapter 9: Chapter 9
Now reading as Liza Lopez
I fumed in anger the moment my sister told me all that happened back there, I glanced at her, as she sits down letting go of a deep breath.
I couldn't endure seeing my sister in pains, thus I walked out of the room, both my eyes almost tearing up, as I rested on a Piller there with my hands on my mouth to ensure no one hears me crying.
So many things ran through my minds, I pictured how my sister will be able to cope with a man like him, seeing I won't be there to save her, but to add salt to the injury an invitation came through, as mom calls us down, hence informs that the wedding card had been fixed.
Stating that in two weeks' time Anna will be getting married to Christain at Saint Paul's church.
She zoomed out the minute she heard the news, as she Ploppes on the couch.
How do I get to save my sister" that was the pending question in my mind, it was all I needed to think about, hence I wasn't ready to let go without a fight, but I also wondered why he was in a hurry to get married to my sister.
I scanned her eyes and saw how devastated she was about the whole situation, whereas our parent's Walt's off excited about the news.
Believe me, I wouldn't hesitate to tell them all that was going on behind their backs but one thing was that they would not believe me and my sister will gladly sacrifice her life for our parents.
Don't get me wrong, I love my parents but one thing I won't do Is to sacrifice my happy all in the name of pleasing them or a form of payment for all their sacrifices.
Afterward, Anna left for the room, as I dashed off behind her. She refused to alter a word, as she Plops down on the bed, covering up herself with a blanket.
I knew she was crying, as she covered herself, once again I asked her to call off the wedding now that there's was time, but still, she refused, as she lungs in back to bed.
"Don't say I didn't warn you" I mumbled as I stumped out of the room wearing an angry expression.
I sat down on the couch, brainstorming ideas on how to call off the wedding between them, glimpsing that she has all the right to call it off which I know she wouldn't, I better do it my own way.
Thus dad came out to get a glass of water, as he stumbled on me there with my head on the couch.
"Are you okay honey" he mumbled as he sits next to me.
I felt like opening up to dad what was actually going on but glimpsing how his face was lit up the moment the alliance was fixed, I decided to bottle them up.
" Am fine dad" I muttered as I walked back to the room, glimpsing on my sister fast asleep.
Anna looked so clam while sleeping while I tossed and turned on the bed, the news tormented me even though I wasn't the one getting married.
Following Morning, we were both woken up by the constant chatter of our parents, as I lung off to see what was going on.
"Good morning dear" mom altered the moment she saw me walking out from the rooms, thus I noticed a lady sited with them pining a smile on her face.
"Is she the bride to be" she raised a question but before mom could alter a word, I declined it which maked them shocked witnessing the manner I did that, as my sister stepped out of the room.
"That's the bride to be" I replied, hence she gets up, as she walked towards her.
" Who are you?" Anna asked as she glanced at us confused.
"My name is Maria Ray and I am in charge of designing your wedding dress" she replied back to her, as she twirls Anna around.
I sat there and saw them take measurements on my sister, as we glare profoundly at everything.
"You can still call this off" I whispered to her, hence she jerked her head, as she refused my suggestion again.
Hours later miss Maria left after taking measurements of my sister, I hoped she measured the actual size of her boobs too.
All through the day, mom pampered Anna, showering her praises around the house, also indirectly telling me to also get married as well.
But we'll it didn't bother me one bit because my mom won't tell me who to bring as a potential husband to be or not, it all depends on me and not her.
Gradually the preparation for the wedding took place, with everyone running around for it, all I did was to sit back and watch how everything ends up playing for them.
As usual, my Mom tagged it to be jealousy but trust me I didn't care about her option, she was always so fast judge when it comes to me, but it was something I have become used too.
I walked out of the house and saw my sister's sited alone, lost in her thought, as she didn't even notice when I came there.
"Thinking won't solve anything" I mumbled, as she turns to me
"That's all I got to do, think of how my life will be with a man like Christain" she replied back, pinning a weak smile.
"And trust me, it will be hellish" I whispered to her ears, ambling away.
Two weeks came by the speed of light, as Anna prepares for her wedding, more like a death sentence.
I sauntered in, hence saw how beautiful she glared also how gloomy her expression was, for someone that was about getting married.
"Let's go" I muttered to her, thus we all left to the church, on our way Anna kept quiet, even when her bride's maids try to make her smile, she shoved them off.
A few hours later, we got out of the car, hence everyone was waiting for us at the church, but unexpectedly Anna refused to get down.
"Get down" I yelled at her but still she refused to heed to my instructions, thus I got inside the car with hopes to convincing her
What's going on?" I raised a question as I waited for a response.
"I don't think I can marry him" she answered back as she pulled out her hands to me.
"You can't back down now, it's too late" I muttered, thus told her to deal with her stubbornness.
"Help me please, I won't last a day with him," Anna said, glaring at me with eyes almost tearing up.
I couldn't say no to my sister, so I thought of a way to pull her out of this mess when my head trigged something I would never have planned to do.
I decided to take the place of my sister and marry a man, I had no feelings towards but deep down I needed to save my sister.
Which much deliberation, Anna decided to swap places with me, I had cover my face with the veil and heed outside.
There was not much difference between us, as I walked into the church, beholding family, friends and my parents sited with smiling faces, as I stood next to Christain.
He glanced at me, suspiciously but later redraw his gaze towards the priest.
"Ladies and gentlemen, we are gathered here in holy matrimony to join Anna Lopez and Christain Hernandez in one Union" the priest altered out, as we all paid attention to him.
We got to a part, where the priest asked if anyone was against the union, he or she should speak or hold their peace, thus Christain whisper to me.
"Hope your sister won't try anything Funny" he whispered to my ears as he thought it was Anna but In a real sense was me.
And he was right, I wouldn't have allowed my sister get married to him, who was never Worthy of her minus the fact he was wealthy.
There was no response, thus the priest preceded further with the ceremony.
