Chapter 3: Chapter 3

Finally, God answered my prayers and mom came into the room with a huge smile on her face, as she informed us that the alliance had been fixed between them.

On hearing that I asked mom, why they agree to get their daughter married to a man she doesn't know, which of cause she did,  but Mom asked me to shut up, and firmly stated that she and dad know what was best for us.

I refused to say anything else, trying not to stare up any more talks, thus I imagined what mom and dad knew about marriage In the 21st century.

She left after passing the information, and that piece of information got Anna more worried than she was before.

I  thought of a way to save my sister from him, so I decided to go visit him. Don't ask me how I got his address, 'lol' I have my ways.

I got to his house and indeed it was huge, I knocked at the door and the housekeeper opened it for me, "who are you?" he inquired who I was.

He went on to tell the family, and came along with him was an elderly woman, "oh hello, Liza!!"   she smiled at me with a warm welcome, thus informed the butler,  I was their soon to be an in-law.

"Take a seat!!" She offered me after  requesting one of the servants to get me a glass of fresh juice, "no ma'am, thank you but can I speak with your son?" I inquired, " yeah, sure"  she informs me he was at the garden working, thank you!" I said ambling away.

I stood at the entrance of the gardens geeking at him, " Leave me alone mom, I want to work!" He lets out in a rude tone.

"It's not your mom and for your information, you're so fucking rude!!" I slowly get close to him.

What do you want", he asked  with so much detest in his voice, I felt like doing something to him but I remembered it was all for my sister, "please I want you to leave my sister alone!!" I  pleaded with my hands folded.

He slowly drank his coffee, which was placed next to him, pinning a devious smile, "no! I won't!" he blatantly told me to my face, "excuse me!!" I stared at him, hence he says and I quote " I  would never let your sister be, I will marry her even though she doesn't approve of it.

After giving ears to his words, I closed my fits, as I strived to hold myself. "Christain, please leave my sister alone", I copied and pasted back my words to him, yet he altered the same word to me, which sounded more annoying than before.

The anger inside of me kept boiling and if I tried bottling it down, it would burn me, " you son of a bitch!!" I rushed out him with my hands to his shirt. "Let go of me" he warned, yet I refused to budge.

Our voice echoed all over the house, everyone there ran to see what was going on, despite all his threat I refused to budge.

His parents both pleaded for me to let him go, but still, I refused until I was dragged away by his helpers.

I shouted at the top of my voice, creating a scene, and with that, I made a promise that I would not allow him to marry my sister, angrily shoving my way out.

"Get back to work", Christian shouted, carrying his laptop anyway without saying a word to his family, abruptly no one gets the chance to stand up to him, not even his parents.

Imbecile", I got home with my face all fluttered with anger and when anna saw me, she figured something must have happened, "what's going on?" She asked me hence I told her all that went down in Christian's home, not forgetting the promise, I made to him.

How are you going to stop me from marrying him", she said to me constantly shanking her head. "I have no idea but trust me, I'll find a way!!" I walked out on her.

" Oh dear Lord please help me" she jammed her hands together praying to God, to save her from the death trap our parents called marriage, oblivious to the fact I stood at the side watching her.

I paced around the room, thinking of a way to save my sister but I was blank as a page, still, I knew I would think of a way eventually.

Afterward, I came downstairs to get a glass of water and ran into my parents talking, I  overheard how excited they were about getting Anna married into a wealthy family.

I said to myself, if dad and mom would know who Christan was,  they would call off this alinement so fast. But it will only be a miracle for them to notice, seeing how blinded they were of his riches.

I got into the kitchen, straight to the fridge to get a glass of water, when mom asked me, about my opinion of the wedding, "urgh" What would they want me to say, it's not as if I can tell them the truth and trust me if I did, they wouldn't believe a word I say, so I had to weave out the words they were expecting me to say.

"Oops, I forgot my phone" I rushed to the room to get it and went on seated at the pavement of the house. I became busy with my phone, hence  didn't hear dad calling out to me, "Liza!!" He yells out the last time, that instantly jerked my attention, I wondered what got him so upset, as  I rushed inside the house, running into mom kneeling before Christain, "don't beg me, ma'am, your daughter insulted me, I think it's best I call off the wedding" he threatens to, falling his eyes on me.

"Please my son dont do this!!"mom's finally noticed my presence, as she gazed at me with so much disgusts in her eyes.

Dad scolded me, on hearing what happened at his house, and ordered me to go apologize to him, I looked at saw how angry dad was, so I had no choice but to do what he said.

I  walked to where he(Christian) stood and altered the magic words to him "Am sorry".

Christan pretended not to hear me, thus requested I repeat myself but this time, I do it on my knees on the ground. "I am sorry!!" I said doing exactly what he instructed.

He smiled and gently held me up with both hands on my shoulders, Christian says "Next time don't play games with me, because I will humiliate you more than I did", he whispered to my ears.

I shut my eyes, gulping all he said, as I  tried not to make a scandal in front of my parents,  I shoved his hands off me and left from there.

I breathed so fast, I kept on remembering what happened a few seconds ago, angrily jamming my hands on the wall.

Hours later, Anna came back home, from visiting a friend and saw me in my "am so angry mood", "what's happened this time" she figures something must have happened, hurling a question at me.

I told her everything, leaving out no information from her, for the first time Anna became upset,  fastening her fist tightly, but still told me not to create any more problems, according to Anna her destiny was already programmed by God.
